Great interview! Not sure if this girl is a great interviewer, but she definitely came prepared, every questsion is spot on, and brilliant. Saw lots of Kai Fu Lee's talks, this one is the best interview.

I'm at the age where I will never see the largest crash of this robot/AI wave, but I hope humanity can see the value of our precious and fragile foothold we have on earth, and we can get over our grudges and start looking back to our past as models of how we can enjoy our future.

AI scares me ownly in one aspect the mentality of the rich support and fight for inequality the leverage of society is it now does the work when AI automation starts to take over the work what leverage does society have to force equality other than violence.

future AI will not need so much data as now to train/learn , so the advance that is now with China that they have a lot of data will disappear soon
You (human) don't need to see 1.000.000 dogs and cat to know the difference this will also happen with ML (machine) .
if a system knows the difference between a dog and a cat maybe it will take long/ needs lot of data , but the next difference between a dog and a wolf will need less data etc
At the end it will only need a couple of examples and then the ML system will know the differences because it can build on experience ..
This can be done with HIVE AI .. so connect all the ML with each other and really let the system learn.
it could be possible that a future system can learn this as fast as looking only to one example.
So yes China has now the data and there for the advance but if AI development continues they will lose again when ML get connected and work in HIVE's and there by building a real AI that doesn't learn in a slow way but more advance way where it needed much less data ....
the leader in the future could be Europa , because they have many different cultures and data will be very different because of the population ..
america and china are more uniform in the population so there the data will be very similar .. data diversity will be more valuable as the quantity in the future.
