[Plot Introduction/ synopsis]
The play tells the story of the princess Wang Xuan (played by Zhang Ziyi) who has a first love, the third prince Zitan (played by Tony Yang). Wang Xuan was involved in the court battle because of the prophecy of "getting her, getting the world." She became her father's chess piece and married Lord Yuzhang, Xiao Qi (played by Zhou Yiwei), from a humble background. Soon, Prince Helan (played by Yuan Hong) kidnapped Wang Xuan to seek revenge on Xiao Qi. The couple fell in love with each other because of a blessing in disguise. In the end, the couple joined hands to create a new era and guard their homeland's people.

This episode and the last few make me want to cry. The Queen Mother set-up the trap for the General, but it ended harming her son, yet she blames the General and Princess. Just like with everything else she always blames everyone else, the late emperor should have required her to be buried with him to prevent future problems. All those soldiers on both sides died needlessly, just because the Queen was afraid and jealous of the General's power, thus endangering the security of the entire country.

Why emperor and empresses? They have no rights to the throne and with their personalities, they wouldn’t want it. It wouldn’t be a happy ending for them. In most cases (in dramas) it’s actually a curse than a gift to be in that position.

Helan is better than Zitan. good look and strong man. she will be safer with him now while she wanted criminal. Awu will be sad to know her maid betrayed her and her trust in people will shattered.
I don't see Helan Zhen as a villian. He is in a power struggle with Helan Tao, a position he never wanted. He fell in love with Awu, and his reason for hating Xiao Qui is he thinks the General killed his mother and people. He's obsessed with the Princess, but doesn't make him bad. He will find out soon though who his real enemy is.
Heros and villains are all perspective. If you’re on the other side and Xiao Qi killed all your men, even in a war, would you see him as a hero or a villain? A villain of course. So it all depends on where you stand.
Holding children and use them as bargaining chips? Unfortunately, not a hero to me.

大概脖子和锁骨是章子怡的骄傲，每件服装都露。其实她瘦，又平胸，露这么多不好看。
