Located in the Domincan Republic, Punta Cana, the Hotel Riu Republica is an adults ONLY all inclusive resort. This resort has a high reputation of being the ONLY party resort in the area.
The Riu Republica has plenty nightlife, entertainment, pools, food, and all of the alcohol your liver can manage. But is this resort really a party resort? Or just a polite way of saying this resort is out of control? Should you bring your family, friends, or special one to this resort?

Nice job. You really nailed it and I appreciate all the off site suggestions. Really great ideas!! You even nailed the jerk chicken! It is really good and pretty much the only decent food at this resort. Republica is the party hotel and NOTHING anywhere will top the Riu Party. If you go to this resort you must do the bus trip to the Jungle, Pink or Neon Party. You will not experience anything like it, especially atcnight. Food? Ugh. Lots of it, but none of it qualifies as good. The restaurants are also very loud. No idea why. Sports Bar food is particularly toxic.

@@thequeeng2282 Actually I really loved the accuracy of your review. You could find someone passed out around every corner. It is a fun place, great staff but really exhausting. I like to say I survived two weeks at Republica. I really wished I had explored more off the grounds - those looked like gems you found.

Hey Queen, I'm glad you had a good time with the fam. I've been to DR several times. For adult party resorts, you should definitely check out the Breathless Resort. I had a blast there. Party events every night. I've been to one in DR and Jamaica. Rooms are off the chain, and service is great. You can control everything and order anything from an iPad that comes with your room. I was spoiled as hell during those trips, lol.

@LAWDcollectibles I have done both. Breathless is a massive step up overall for sure. Both have a great beach BUT Breathless comes with a jump in price and clientele. Breathless has one of the best pools in the DR - no doubt. They do have a spectacular party scene and entertainment, great upper level lounge (especially for night life) and very good food. Republica does one thing better tha anyone - Riu Party and party bus. There is nothing like the pool scene and entertainment, not even Vegas can compare. It is mind numbing - just immerse yourself. The food - ugh; however, you are saved by the jerk chicken. They say they have a steakhouse but that is misleading, eat at your own risk. Sports Bar - toxic. This is really a "college" age target audience. Consider this is spring break 12 months a year and you won't be disappointed because in that regard it is a step up. They have good facilities.

GREAT ENTERTAINMENT, PLUS THE CLUB AFTER 11PM.. I WISH THE FOAM PARTY THAT YOU DIDNT MENTION WAS ON THE PREMISES, LIKE RIU CABO. UR MOM SAID THE FOOD AT RIU BAHAMAS WAS BETTER, SO I MAY GO THERE, OR COME BACK AS MY ANNIVERSARY TO REPUBLICA, APRIL 2024.THANKS FOR THE VIDEO..

I am a world traveler. I have looked at your videos. I want to say a few things, pro and con, on your video, especially. At the RIU!
You: You're a wonderful presenter and real! Real in believable, so don't change anything on how you present.
I would suggest you use your family as a trust force. This gives age credibility. Your Mom and Dad are within my age and presented based on what i think my value of a resort is.
Professional don't ever take perks form any establishment you go to. This will increase your value for your channel.
I think you and Coolist are the most believable out of everyone on here.
In a few weeks, I will be sending you and Coolist details on maximize values for both channels and yes income.

That was actually a pretty good video. I have never been to this particular resort but I have been to many DR resorts over the years. I will say that “value” plays a big part in how a resort hotel is rated. I dont think based on what i saw and heard in this video that this place warrants a 7.5 or an 8. But maybe the low price of the place skews the rating.
I made it 10 mins 42 seconds umm it’s not for me… but I am going to continue to listen to rest of this video cause girl… if I was 15 year’s younger I would be there

If we book day trip excursion at resort to soana Island or book at resort Nightclub time at cocobongo, imagine etc then will there be transportation from and back to riu republica after excusrion is completed?

It’s an excellent spot to go alone. 👌🏾 As far as the salsa spots, I’m not sure. But there was a lot of salsa parties at the resort 😎

Correct. Do not drink water that is not bottled. That includes soups. And we are pretty sure he got sick from eating food sitting out at the buffet. Too difficult as to what it was exactly.

I think it depends on your priorities. 👌🏾 We still had several drinks and plenty of jerk chicken while at the resort. Lol. This resort does seem to be a bit more affordable than quite a few others….which still made it affordable for us to eat off site most meals. 🤷🏾♀️
We are going to the RIU REPUBLICA for 2nd time in December. Can you recommend restaurants off resort that are not too far away? I heard JellyFish.
Also do you know if we can access the Hard Rock to gamble? Is there a fee?? Just curious. We were at this RIU in 2019 and we missed out on alot that resort had to offer. We were at furthest end from beach so we pretty much hung out at swim up pool and buffet right under us. Looking to experience much more on this trip. Appreciate the video

There was a story I read in the British newspaper and a couple described appalling hotel booked through TUI British agency and people in the hotel according to the couple people are taking drugs doing bad things in the pool and etc . Shocking
I believe that is up for your interpretation what “bad things” are. Lol. It’s possible that people are really enjoying themselves with the music, friends, dancing, alcohol, and whatever else they brought with them. I personally didn’t see anything “crazy.” 🤷🏾♀️I will say tho, at no point in time did I feel unsafe. 👌🏾

Hi there! We dipped off the resort and went to eat somewhere else. That particular restaurant is “The Jelly Fish.” Excellent views, great food, perfect service. I put the Jelly Fish’s info in the description. Enjoy your vacay! 💜
I went. It didn’t feel like a shit show aside from the late night food in the sports bar.

I went during Spring Break....all I will say is I saw everything imaginable and they had to keep shutting the pools down due to adult activity lol. Use your imagination. Granted I paid $500 for a week (all inclusive). It was an experience nonetheless.

Lots of free bottled water at any DR resort including in your room where the load up the fridge for you
Apologies. When I said, “don’t drink the water.” I met, their tap water. We only drank bottled water. And most restaurants only offer bottled water….but there are some that offer tap water. 👌🏾🫤

Not really. But honestly, the whole resort is a night club. When the sun goes down, there is plenty of music, dancing, etc…. 😎👌🏾

I agree 100% with this review ... is this resort perfect, absolutely not ... if you looking for a quiet/romantic getaway go somewhere else, if you looking to book a resort with some friends and want to party, this is the right place for you.
Pools:
The quiet pools are clean but the popular ones I will not go inside, they are cloudy, full of alcohol/piss and vomit.
Food:
Average or just below average... The only really good food this resort offers is the jerk chicken.
Entertainment:
Pool side entertainment is great, the night shows are average.
Rooms:
Nothing special here, but if you upgrade to the suites they are nice
Alcohol:
Feels watered down, I did not like the drinks.
Did I have a good time at this resort, Yes! .... Would I return, No probably not

I've heard from everyone that I know who goes to the DR that it's great but the food is terrible.

I have been to nine Punta Cana resorts and the Republica is by far the worst for food. Not even close. They have the best beach food - the jerk chicken but after that. NOT GOOD. There are many resorts with exceptional food including Excellence, Breathless and the Majestics. Republica does some things well but food isn't one.
Not a party resort. The shows are good and the have a bus that goes to some party, I had a rental car and drove to Santo Domingo, and la romana that was a party

Careful what you get at the bars. The bar tenders use cheep low grade bottom rail booze in their drinks (basically Ever Clear).God only knows whats in those bottles. Beach area is small and overloaded with chairs. No shade accept the palms on the sand dune that separates the pools from the beach. Service is okay but pushy on tips. Rooms are okay but NOT luxury by any standard. We would not stay here again. If you’re a college kid and want to blow some money and don’t care what you eat or drink. And at that point you’re more a animal than a person anyways. Go ahead and book here. If you have someone with class and taste. STAY AWAY!
Update. Been here a few days, and have sampled the restaurants. The best has been the buffet but as soon as the weekenders showed up the quality went to hell. Under cooked and over cooked food everywhere. At dinner it looks like a hog troff. If you get there early it’s okay but DO NOT eat the sea food. They can’t keep the bars cold enough. Wife got sick on our third day, I got sick on the fourth day we couldn’t not keep anything down. I wasn’t expecting the French laundry, it’s basically a sketchy Golden Corral in the Ghetto side of town.
Yup, that’s a shit show. I’ll give it a pass, thanks.
45 minutes (walking) down the beach one will find the RIU complex which has five resorts on the same real estate.
There, one can find quiet places but also places to meet others and party some, without it being a shit show.
One will encounter sloppy drunks at these RIU resorts too, but not hundreds in the same place, as at the Republica.
For those that still wish to go there, at least learn to say the name correctly……

This resort sucks. I stayed here a few years back and it was way too loud all hours of the night, food was atrocious, and the guests were belligerent drunk and obnoxious. That’s my review on this place.
