Followed the video and now have a brand new radio in place! Just some advice/points I'd like to give: I put a single din pioneer stereo and although I had adaptor connectors with the adaptor kit, I can't use the remote on the side of the steering wheel with it. Maybe it's the stereo model that doesn't recognize it, maybe it's a general thing, don't know, might be something to think about. For the blower awkward thing, I accidentally pulled the whole rod out. I actually found it easier to first connect the rod to the dash, then to plug the other end back in from the right side. Just my input for those who might have trouble or want to do this mod, other than that, the tutorial worked great!
This is great help. The blow direction was the trickiest part for me.Once I got it into the control side it kept popping off so I got some insulation tape around it to stop it coming out .The long green part just pushes in and stays there once you have screwed everything back together.
Cheers, used this last night for my 05 Fiesta. Finished at midnight :/. I had a double din fascia adaptor and found that I had to put the radio in first so I could get the rail mount to fit. Great vid was a lifesaver!
To keep the steering wheel controls on this vehicle you will have to purchase the adapter loom "PC99-X51" you will also have to get the stereo patch loom for a sony for example its "PC99-SON" In terms of USB functionality, best pop into your local audio shop and let them run you through the range Peter
You will need to get the radio code again to use that radio - Pop to the main dealer and they should be able to help you (Sometimes its actually printed on the audio booklet supplied with the car) Hope the video helped!
Really great video! Just a quick question. I want to install an ISO radio into my fiesta - do i require a mounting frame/cage for this? At the end of the video you didn't install one but would I need to install one to keep the radio in place after its installed?
You will need the fascia FP-07-05 and the Audio Harness PC2-80-4. The cage you require should come with the radio you choose and the audio harness converts the Ford connectors to ISO connectors (The Universal connector)
Thank you for this very helpful tutorial. I bought Ford Fiesta (2005) with triple dash stereo. Is it possible to install Pioneer AVH-G210BT in this car? I mean, is it gonna fit in the dashboard?
Right so bare with. I’ve got a mk6 and currently the only option I’ve got when skipping a song, is to open my phone and change it while driving. Is there anything I can buy to essentially give me a ‘skip song’ button option to my car/radio??... (cheap)
I have successfully installed a new stereo thanks to your video but find it looks a little unfinished around the edges. In past cars that have had single din units I have bought a surround that has neatness the edges. Are you aware of such a thing for a double fun unit and if so, where.? Thanks again for the video.
Hi, can you confirm that the Sony stereo you bought fitted perfectly without any modifications/adjustments or any extra parts installed beforehand? Did the stereo just slot right in?
Hi looking at doing this in my 2004 Ford fiesta flame once this process is done do you fit in just a double din or do you need a double din and single together to fully fill the gap also how flush will the stero sit with the existing trim Thank you
I fitted my single din today using one of the conversion kits off ebay and it's baggy either side of the stereo as well as the plastic pocket. You can wobble them around and pull them out very easily. Not sure why. Everything else works well though
hi mate great vid! i have a very important question though. ive bought a crashed car and the stereo is on code lock and there is no code in the car. can i reset the code after removing the stereo following your steps? or what do u recommend to get it to function again??
How did you do the tricky part with the air flow control cable? At 3:30 there is a cut in the video, but this one is the most dificult in the whole process, for me at least.
I've posted this in the other video in this install series, so for interest (and hijacking the top comment). Having just done this, my advice is: 1) First thread the wire loop thing that controls the heater temperature back to where it needs to go (if you stupidly pulled it all the way through, like I did). Make sure it goes through the hole nearest the centre of the cear, if you go for the 'easy' outside one (closest to the driver footwell), you won't be able to clip the plastic bit back in. 2) Next, yank the blower direction peg so that the the other end just comes out of its socket (mine was green). It's buried in the car, just to the rear-right of the radio. The socket will likely be a bit greasy. It's just a press fit. Pull out your radio so that you can shove a hand into the hole - obviously leave the wiring intact. Or if you install your radio into the bottom DIN rail, you can leave it. 3) Plug the peg into the back of the dial, it's a polarised connector so you need to keep pushing while rotating the dial until it goes in. Push hard while you turn. While you're doing this, ensure that the other end is near its hole - so you'll need to hold the fascia quite close to the body of the car. I found it had to be almost perfectly straight before it would go in. 4) Once the front peg is in, slowly push the fascia in so it's just touching the body of the car. You should leave enough clearance to slot your radio back in, if you removed it. Reach in and push the other end of the blower direction connector back into its hole. The flexible shaft is quite springy, so it should jump into the socket once you've got it located correctly. Verify that everything is working by turning the dial, you should hear vents open/close in the various positions. 5) Slot the radio/blanking plate back in. 6) Hook on the wire loop thing and plug in the plastic 7) Redo the bazillion screws. The key is plugging the peg into the dial before you put the fascia back. It won't just go in by itself. I'm not sure whether this guarantees that the selection is correct once you put it back though (are both ends polarised?). At least on mine the settings do seem to be correct after reinstalling.
watch again in 3:02-3:03 and turn the air flow cable exactly the same and after that, you should select the button just like in the video 3:19-3:20 it s on the right not the A.C and will fit in. Sorry for my english if you need help or advices just send me a message.
No problem - if you need the parts, but from us with free world wide shipping! www.justaudioshop.com/Ford-Fiesta-Triple-Dash-Car-Stereo-Fitting-Kit-Fascia-Panel-Wiring-Aerial_p_86.html
Hi, The Ford Triple Dash doesn't use the PC2-84-4.. The triple dash uses its own specific lead (PC2-80-4) In terms of steering wheel controls you are right ... You will need to go for the PC99-X51 and also purchase the JVC patch lead which is a PC99-JVC. Hope it helped and please subscribe! Peter
Hi again, Ive taken the radio out of my fiesta for now as the volume button just doesn't function at all know. I can't even knock it on. Anyway, after taking it out and puting the dash together following your instructions the middle heater control will only stay on cold. Its very stiff trying to turn it to blow hot. The cable doesn't seem jammed at all so it's a bit puzzling at the moment?
Thanks for the nice video , I have al little question I have a ford fiesta 2005 and I want to install a pioneer deh... but this is smaller than the gab from the original radio so I dont now what to do with the empty space do you have a suggestion ? karsten
Nice videos! Gonna do it myself in a few days and this will help allot! Will the steering wheel controls still work with a "non-original" stereo? I've searched the web for it, but could not find any more details. I would love the keep the SWC functionality but also have some more options for playing music like USB. Thanks in advance!
quick queastion. i have a radio face (the bit with buttons and volume etc) do i need to buy a radio unit and cage? or can i dismantle and re-use the triple unit that is already in there?
Hi I know that this is a bit of an old video but, do you have any tips on how I can connect the heater controls at 3:07. This would be really helpful as I have been trying all day. Thank you.
+Liz Mackin I'm sure you've fixed it by now but a response to help others :) The plug will only go into the socket one way so you need to rotate the dial to match how the plug is sitting as close as possible so it's easier to get in when you put the fascia back on. When you put the fascia on, you need to get it in as close while still being able to put your hand in there and guide/force the plug into the control unit. Once you get the plug in (this takes forever) you can put the panel all the way in. Make sure that the heater control wire is also in the right place as per the video.
With fitting a double din, would you fit the fascia before the cd player goes in or vice versca? Also, would it be the same leads you use to connect the cd player, or do different makes require a different lead? Thanks.
Sorry for the delay. Fit the fascia first, then secure the stereo cage and then the unit. You will need to go for the PC2-80-4 to convert the cabling to Standard ISO. Then use the supplier radio cable to adapt the iso block to fit the new stereo. Hope we helped!
I notice in the glove box area you have an auxiliary plug. My friend asked me to fit her an auxiliary in her fiesta. do you know where i can pick one up and also how easy it would be. she has a blank in the place that your plug is. I am just wondering about the wiring of the auxilary and where to get it from.
on the wiring connector harness that you have to use to change it from a ford connector to the iso connector what is the pin that's on the separate wire connect to and what is it used for?
Sorry to be a noob my friend was helping me and didn't take the valve out from the bottom as you do in the unistallation. On putting it all back i can't figure how to put the distribution switch back together? the others are fine though my heat control green bit an arm has come off hopefully that won't cause any problems
When sawing the bars from the panels how noticeable are the "2MM" leftovers when a headunit and facia etc is installed? Is it easier to file them down until they are barely there?
I will od this operation very soon but i have only one problem, hope the last one: i need to know the power of the original radio of this fiesta because its the same than mine (i've a Ford fusion, 2002 model). Im looking for a radio which can be good for my car but i don't know the power watt of the radio... ive seen radio with 4x50 and 4x30... which of them??? pls answer me.... pretty please... :)
+Ludovico Pavesi The power of new units is the power rating of the output, not the input. Eg. 4x30w means it will run 4 speakers at 30 watts. Pretty much all head units will work in any modern car as they have similar power systems to run accessories like a stereo.
Whilst trying furiously to "fit that piece into the heating controls here", I've managed to pull the other end of the mechanical cable out from somewhere deep in the dashboard! Could you help relocate this end please? Easier to access it from under the bonnet or in the cockpit?
hey bro i have done everything.. could u help me how can get main electric wire out for amplifier connection to the battery i couldnt find the way under the dashboard where the all fuses are ??? thank u
My heater control switch now won't work where you choose hot or cold? The little wire is connected to the plastic arm, but the arm doesn't move? Think it may have broke any ideas,
I need help on fitting the front dashboard where the heating control switches are. You have not shown that part where you fit the circular plug on the right hand side. Can someone please help on this? Thanks
JustSimpleTips Hey i would like to know if there is a adaptercable wich offers me to use aux input. (for this car radio ofcourse) Dont want to change the dash just aux input.
Hi I installed my CD player last week and I turned the volume to max. I have tried a new pc2-80-4 and head unit but it still won't work. Old CD player still works fine though. Any ideas? Thanks
I would go to a breakers yard and get a spare triple dash thats been removed and use that saw the middle bars then fit that into the dash and then onto fitting the stereo
Hey! Does anybody know if I can get that fascia plate with the bits you have to cut out already done? I know you can file them down but it would nag me... If anyone knows where to get one please tell me!
iv found a cd stero touch screen one and it says the face is 230 mm but the face of the stero is 190 mm why is this and are all touch screen double din stereos like this
Can someone help. When I select the heating control to heat the silver connector for the heater doesn't move back like it's supposed to so I'm not getting any heat
Has anyone worked out if its possible to re-attach the steering wheel remote? The stereo I installed has a single steering wheel remote wire, and I think the control on the Fiesta has at least two wires going into the stock adapter? Does it require a separate adapter and a bit of hacking to get this wired up properly?
Andy Hosker isit a kenwood? They usually have a blue and yellow striped wire. If so you need to connect it to key 1 on the harness patch lead. And if its a connects 2 multilead. Key 1 and remove/cut the orange and green loops
hiya, is it possible I can fit in an aux port in my fiesta finesse 02 plate and how. struggling to find out and not sure what I'm looking for? help please!

I definetly connected it. It must not have connected back properly then. Ill double check that. Thanks, the video was a great help :)
The Fascia is a FP-07-05, If you wish to have a double din you can either go for the DFP-07-05 or just cut through the middle join.
Thanks for the video. I've followed your instructions and things seem to be working OK!

Thanks for this vid we just installed Sony MEX-N5100BT without problem!!
Hi, can you confirm that the Sony stereo you bought fitted perfectly without any modifications/adjustments or any extra parts installed beforehand? Did the stereo just slot right in?
The most preferred method is through a CD Changer output. Check if you have got one.

Great video mate. Precise clear instruction.
on the PC2-80-4 Harness which is required to put in an aftermarket radio, what is the single odd cable which isn't connected to the ISO block for?
Does this also work on a 2005 Fusion? It looks like the same radio/dashboard set up, but I just want to make doubly sure before I start hacking things
Nice videos!

There are a lot of Auto Electrical shops who do offer this service. Go to your local one and ask :)
from the end of the video would you need to install a new cage for the steteo or will it fit straight in?
Sorry for the delay.
Fit the fascia first, then secure the stereo cage and then the unit.

You get an adaptor to take it down to double, the fitting kit is in the description

Thumbed and subscribed very helpful I'll give this a go when I can grab that tool
Very helpful, thanks!

With the radio that is installed it should come with a trim panel?

Hey i would like to know if there is a adaptercable wich offers me to use aux input. (for this car radio ofcourse)
Dont want to change the dash just aux input.
dont suppose you can do a video on ow to install a Subwoofer in a ford Fiesta 2005? too?
Make sure its locked back in its original place, the only reason it wont work is because the cable isn't turning the plastic arm behind the dash.
Hi I installed my CD player last week and I turned the volume to max. I have tried a new pc2-80-4 and head unit but it still won't work. Old CD player still works fine though. Any ideas? Thanks

Can someone help. When I select the heating control to heat the silver connector for the heater doesn't move back like it's supposed to so I'm not getting any heat
Does the unit turn on?
