I used to be afraid of rust until I saw the rat rod petina now I just let her rust and clear coat it. Matches the truck perfect. Mother Nature helps a lot.

Greg you need a lathe and a milling machine. I can teach you how to use it if you want I know you would use the crap out of both of them. And it’s not hard to use just a lot of simple steps that go in order and practice.

to the bottom of each rear shock mount holes are already there easy install and easy to remove that’s what i did

Too late now but I would have just cut the shoulder off the turbo with a die grinder and a cut off wheel.
Looked like it was only about 1/4 to 3/8 in width.
Back to the sled pulling roots! I like it! 👍🏼

I put a license plate frame off a 86 Monte Carlo (it folds down, spring loaded because the gas filler is behind plate) on my roll pan so I can just fold down my license plate for towing
Don't clean the truck! Looks bad ass as is.
Although I like the usual drag racing content, as a puller my self I love this and can’t wait to see the 05 on the hook! Keep up the great work 👍🏻👍🏻

I hate seeing the 05 in this condition, but damn does this video make me excited to see it pulling a sled!!!
If you need to use that turbo blanketing plate then say good bye to both your turbos and don’t be surprised if you damage your engine as well. Don’t know what brainiac idiot thinks someone won’t feel a 5 Tons of dead weight disconnecting from the rear of a vehicle at full noise. Shutting off an engine at full noise is the quickest way to destroy your turbos internal components such as bearings and rotating assembly due to an extremely hot shut down not letting EGT and engine temps to come down before you shut it down, mainly EGT’s as the engine oil is what cools the turbo and if the oil flow stops too soon then it will cook the oil in the core and also cook the turbo internals. Seen this happen on a lot smaller barely modified diesels let alone an 800+hp race truck at full noise.
