Thank you so much! This is great info for traveling in smaller planes where you have to check your instrument. I may even make a "bag" of bubble wrap for the inside of the case so that the TSA has a foolproof reassembly. :P
@@moshezuchter Thanks for the comment, and all your great videos. You are the way I learned about Martin. Also, where do you live? Do you do private lessons?
Hey, I live on Vancouver Island. I teach through my site accordionlove.com but don't do private lessons. Let me know if you have any questions, though. Always happy to help
For accordion players that live pretty far away from an accordion business or repair shop, this is a very important video. Sometimes we have no choice but to ship the instrument, but it’s also good if we want to trade it in or sell it for an upgrade.

The accordion I bought from Martin was very snug in the packaging when it arrived! The accordion case was also very charming with the previous owners name and address wrote in big letters. It found a good home! Thank you Martin!!
Sure wish I had known about the cardboard stop for the bass buttons before I flew with my accordion. Got the cushioning right but the bass was just as Martin said would happen. Got it working again, but sometimes now I have an "F" drone.... Thanks for the video!
I wish I'd known about it, too. I was playing a music festival and packed my accordion on a bumpy motorcycle ride. 15 minutes before our band's set I pulled my accordion only to have it drone by itself. I think I somehow managed to get the keys unstuck. But yeah, would've loved to know the cardboard trick 😊
I bought an accordion and he put it in the case with the straps on top of the accordion. How do I get it out? Just lift up? I’m afraid I’ll break it 😭 It doesn’t have the piano thingy, just regular buttons.
wow-this was so thorough and helpful. and, watchable - thanks for making it a pleasure to pay attention!

Thank you, I'm sending a Titan 12 bass to my grandson in Alaska and feel much better about it making it there OK.
Awesome! Lucky grandson 😊
An excellent video
Wish I had this back when I shipped my accordion...
Hello! Do you know how to remove tape glue from an accordion? I have some after it was packed for shipping. I don’t want to ruin the plastic.
Ooh, good question. Contact liberty bellows or tempo trend? Otherwise maybe Good Gone?

What if my accordion does not come with case?
I shipped one from Belgium to Czech Republic... It never leaves Belgium. The post "lost" it. Lose a 15gk 120 bass accordion, sure.
