DAIZZ'S TIPS:Despite its exotic looks it is surprisingly easy to grow from seed.Do not cover the seeds as they require the presence of light to help initiate germination. Instead gently firm down the compost without sinking the seeds into the compost.Once the seedlings emerge, remove the polythene bag but they will still need to be kept in a warm, bright, frost-free position.

@Urban Gardening sir, I've tried this many times with excellent potting mix, fungicide and seeds. I get almost 100% germination but plants tend to grow about 1 inch, then fall n die. Any insights would be helpful. It's happening for all flowering seeds that are very tiny like this

Thats bcos this guy uses seeds and then the final plant from the Nursery and says Use compost, NPK, fungicide, which we all know. He’s fake. Says put 1 plant in a pot and end of the video u’ll see a different pot with multiple plants and the pot is also not the same. Buying plants from nursery and he has raised it from a seedling
Well I have never covered them i live in a humid place and I've never had a problem with rotting. I have them growing off of a walls in pots and in flower beds. I started them in a window with direct sun and within days I have lovely seedlings. They prefer to grow on rocks dry places and cliffs by the sea. So I dont think he has a clue. Its was very simple here for me in England. I've never fertilised them some get some because they are by plant that need it and they do they worse so I think they like to be left alone. No feeding and no moving from pot to pot
Try it on 50% soil + 50% sand for better results. And watering through spray in 4/5 days

In winter starting months... Sept mid to nov ... Sprinkle the seeds on the soil surface n cover them with a thin layer of potting soil... Seeds will germinate after 6-8 days... During the process keep the soil little moist at times

My Ice Flower seedlings aren't surviving. Germination is really good though.
Give them funjiside after 15 days. Continue this process. Give them direct sun. Your seedling will survive. I assure you. Mine is 2 months old iceplant

My mesembrythemum seedlings have true leaves growing and the stem is becoming taller but seems tobbe weak.
I still have them in a small disposable tray.

As a few comments note, this is a strange plant that can't support its own weight, but it's OK if the plant simply rests on the ground. This video shows unusually healthy stems but don't discard plants that seem healthy enough on top but have shriveled stems.

That is called a fungicide. It's to stop fungus growth which could destroy plants especially seeds and newly transplanted seedlings.

To save the bulbs temperature must remain cold throughout the whole time.. But in summers we experience very hot days n due to this bulb normally rot away.
