Very cool.
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH
Thanks man alot
Excellent!
Will this work with shallow depth 1020 trays (1.25")?
Thankyou for sharing your engineering skills and contributions to the growing community!
The siphons should be installed into flood trays and 1020 trays should be placed within the flood trays. We can fit four 1020 trays in the botanicare tray we use in the video.
can use 2 inch or 1 inch Slotted 1020´s? with your shiphon? I am afraid that water will go over the top with the 1 inch 1020....
It's a good idea but how do you regulate the amount? Unless you have the entire rack filled with the same crop at the same stage, it can't regulate each tray individually.
Correct me if I’m misunderstanding…the crops on the top level would get more water than those on the second level? It appears that the top shelf needs to fill to a certain level before the second shelf starts filling. Once the entire rack is filled with water, then, the entire system drains at the same time? If that is the case, the problem (over saturated top levels), would be amplified as you add additional levels. Not criticizing, just walking through potential Microgreen production issues. What seems great in theory may not be as great in practice. Good job for working on these problems though!
Hi, all the levels should get an equal amount of saturation. As long as the siphons run, all excess water should eventually drain back into the water reservoir.
I wonder how often I would want to change the water in the supply tank? Any idea?
@@fledgling5616 I did some research and my best guess is every 5 days the system should be drained, cleaned and flushed. Still seems appealing.
One option is to install a UV light to shine on the water. The UV light can kill any bacteria. Otherwise, you can change the water every 4-5 days.
How does the siphon breaking part work? How long do the trays hold water before the siphons release it all?
The siphon breaks when air is able to enter the siphon. This occurs when the water level drops below 1/4”.
The flood and drain cycle in our video is between 5 - 7 minutes.
Do you have the siphon 3 tier available to ship now? Thanks
Hi William, we sell siphons for 1-tier all the way up to 6-tier on our website. JustPonics.com
Cool. did you guys finish developing it?
Yes, it is for sale. Many microgreen growers are currently using our siphons.
Can i buy these?
Are these available to ship yet?
Hi Mark, they are available to ship. You can order them from our website.
Can you control the height of the siphon
Yes. The height of the siphon can be adjusted. It can go as start siphoning as low as 1” and as high as 2”.
Perfect. I have an aquaponices system with my own bell siphon but needed something to flood and drain microgreens. This is perfect.
@@justponics7785 where can I order?
@@alexmontenegro5693 you can order it from our website. Justponics.com
