I used to be a Chinese exchange student in Cali about 10 years ago! I stayed for 3 months. My host family was extremely kind to me, just like you guys are. My English was not good at all back then, but they were very patient. I'm so happy that you get to learn more about the Chinese culture, and I'm sure the girls will have a wonderful experience!

Exchange students were the only friends I ever made in school. It was heartbreaking when they went back home. I’m 32 and to this day, I still talk to several of them.

I am glad you have exchange students. Since I was born in China and was adopted at young age to America. I am learning Mandarin this year. I already at immediate level in Mandarin. . I hope they taught you some their language. Not easy for English speaker in terms of pronunciation because of the tones. I am happy you got this opportunity to host these students.
