I always like seeing manufactures try out unusual things, in this case the driver configuration. Most of their models that I know are sub $100 so this is quite the leap upmarket by Tangzu.
Well I would have agreed about the waste except that in this case, the box that came with the Tangzu Wan’er upcycled very nicely into a nice patterned box for keeping tips and adapters in, never let things go to waste if it could be useful.
To be fair though about boxes in Lachlan’s house, there are probably a million of them lying about around the studio, from all the IEM’s, so it’s probably a lot easier for the waste to be very apparent seeing them stacked on shelves and stuff. But for the average consumer who just buys 1 or 2 sets (haha aye right! The one or two sets consumer is probably extinct at this point…trying hard to keep a straight face here) then the boxes can be used for stuff.

I agree. I don't think they quite nailed the overall tuning, but for the target they chose, it's lovely.

Next Tangzu XuanWu Gate . same BA EST but with DD its simple yet Beautiful twice the price though

Owning around 30 IEMs has made me really appreciate small, no non sense boxes.
Tangzu wastes so much cardboard on huge boxes.
I do agree that there is WAY too much packaging on many IEMs.
