Honestly I don't blame the studio for making a sequel. I'm pretty sure a lot of people asked for one. Too bad it was a shitty one tho.
I don't think people were asking for a sequel as seemingly everyone agreed the first movie was fine on its own. A sequel definitely could've worked but it sucks that we got what we got.
