I've never bought a legacy set before, but the PRR Middle Division set is one I'm pretty set on. I live in the middle division area and my great grandfather worked on the middle division on the coal wharf at Denholm. And I've been waiting for another M1b from Lionel for a long time
Man this catalog was mixed. The first 1926 batch of M1s is great to see. Know for a fact the fellers would probably fix the Worthington error shown in the catalog. Other stuff is mixed but pass. Already got an MTH m1b from 2002 (the premier 6755 version) so I’m set in that end. I will definitely try and pre-order the P&LE gon, PRR flatbed with deeres, and _maybe_ one of the composite hopper packs?? Haven’t decided yet. We have too many hoppers for the fort Pitt layout anyhow so it’s a miracle we ain’t filled an entire room with ‘em. Overall I say it’s been okay. Hope to see ya at Greenberg! - Neven
Thanks Neven! Great choices! I’m not sure what I’m definitely getting yet. I like that m1 but I also have the m1a and m1b both legacy. I also have an 844 so I don’t really need another one but I do really like the hotdog 49er scheme. Tough choice
@@kyletroknya2419 name of the feedwater box behind the smokestack. The 1926 batch of m1s weren’t given to them in their careers. The m1a/b of 1930 (same one 6755 is) were though. 26 batch also only had one compressor on the fireman’s side. The m1as were given two.
The plow on the C&S Consolidation is going to be Cast BRASS, not Diecast. Not as tough as a Diecast metal. Now I’m really starting to think I should just remove that plow if I do order the engine. I don’t want a fragile plow on a engine that will be running in tight yard conditions.
Nice video. On the Great Northern set 2-8-0 at 23:00 minutes. What is the price? That would be a great gift for my grandkid. I remember years ago MTH had a 2-8-0
What your looking at is the MTH RAILKING 2-8-0. Lionel bought the tooling for it along with other toolings from MTH. The dead ringer to its MTH heritage is it’s tender shape.
All a bit rich for my blood to be honest. I am a little curious how the ex-Railking 2-8-0 is going to turn out as a Lionchief model, and the ex Conventional Classics Berk is nice to see.
Lionel is producing one of its Postwar Berks in the Detroit, Toledo, & Ironton scheme numbered 704. I custom painted a Lionel Berkshire Jr. as a DT&I model numbered 700, along with a Marx caboose shell with Lionel trucks into a matching one, too. In my opinion, I'm happy seeing the DT&I Berkshires getting some much needed representation in the O Gauge market! :D
Prices are exorbitant. Quality control is shoddy.

Yeah seriously for $50 bucks less then an actual powered locomotive is makes absolutely zero sense!
