Those babies were so kind and patient waiting for Camp Heidi. My grandpa was the only Dad I had. Growing up I spent every minute I could with him. No camp Heidi but fishing & boat rides and learning to hunt. I cherish every second I had, he had a hand in forming who I am to this day. You remind me so much of him… Thank you for the memories❤

One of my favorite meals is ham ' n beans, Cole slaw, and fried taters with onions. Preferably, taters has been fried in a cast iron skillet. Got to have cornbread with dinner.

Oh boy...Pawpaw you're gonna love those beans. I spoke to you about those a couple years ago. They cook up so nice . We just say soup beans & Cornbread. I love it. I cook em nice and slow for hours with a piece of fat back or "streaky meat" as my daddy would say. When my beans are nice and tender I take my tater smasher and bust up a few and that sauce gets nice and thick. Mmmmm mmmmm good. Lol. Now look what u did. Im gonna throw some in the slow cooker before I go to work. When I get home about midnight the house will smell great. ❤❤😂❤ Love your lil helpers. We were up in Blue Ridge, Ga, (where Gigi and Kim rode the train) yesterday and went to Mercier Orchard which has a huge grocery/general store. They sell mostly their own products and have produce, mostly apples from their farm. Then a bakery where they sell apple donuts, fried pies, etc, a small bar where they sell their wines and hard ciders. I bought some apple butter and a jar of cinnamon apple flavored pickles. I think you would have liked them.
PawPaw, A trip down memory lane for me. My mom used to cook October Cranberry beans. Absolutely delicious with cornbread. I remember writing in Big Chief tablets.
