- We made it over to Tropicana Field to see the Tampa Bay Rays take on the New York Mets. It was our first Rays game of the season and we take spin around the stadium to check out the Hall of Fame and more.

My first mlb game was at the trop in 1998 against the Braves. I know it’s considered a bad stadium by todays standards, but I still was in awe when entering the stadium from the concourse. At that time you only really got to see places like this on espn highlights on sports center or if Sunday night baseball was there nationally. So being from Ohio down there on vacation I really had no idea what I was about to see, and I loved it. Only been back there once in 2000 to see them play the Yankees. I would love to come back down for a game one more time before they replace it, which I feel could be soon here in next couple years. Awesome video! I like that you show a lot of the ballpark most people don’t show in other videos. Entertaining watch as well 😂😂😂

Great video. Most baseball fans say Tropicana Field is horrible but it looks alright to me. Just seems like getting there is an issue. Thanks for the upload.

Agreed. We hate going to that place. Just the traffic and parking is awful after the long drive
I can't believe that they are moving forward with their new stadium in essentially the same area.
Kyle I feel you in regard to the Rays being in St Pete. It is a pain to get there with the traffic.

I'd still support them as a local team. That said, the new Rays stadium will also be in St. Pete.

I enjoy going to Rays games, but the dagger was put in them for me with the Longoria situation.
I agree the stadium too far but Orlando needs a mlb

Never understood why Tropicana Field gets such a bad rap. The seats are comfortable, it is air conditioned, and the Rays always provide for a competitive product on the field.
