"A legacy reborn", uh? A fitting name considering that Id - Purpose is the flagship theme of FE: Awakening, the game that saved the franchise from its end.
I dont really like awakening as like, a videogame. The characters are rather shallow, the story is nothing to inspiring, it's a bit too easy, and they over use ambush spawns. But I still admire its place in fire emblem history and the spirit that went into it. It's a shame they followed it up with fates, but hey we got three houses and shadows of valentia so I'm happy
I would say Awakening brought the name back to SSB4 also helped the game that saved the franchise was 3 houses it was an instant hit and awakening kinda had a really slow start from what I saw SSB4 helped it massively
@@Smoothyoda1 i get what you were trying to say, but factually speaking, if Awakening failed, the series would have lost investment from Nintendo. 3 Houses is a great game, but if not for Awakening, it probably would never exist. something else to consider is that FE was less popular around Awakening's time as the series was dying. today, the number looks low compared to recent releases, but it sold more copies than the previous 4 entries before it combined.
@@blankchickenman Awakening did two things very well though: The animated cutscenes were drop dead georgous. The most detailed ones from the whole fe-series. And of course, the music. It's hard for me to decide which game had the better score overall. (Awakening does have the funnier track names though) The story really does need some fleshing out if they ever were to remake it.
Gods, I remember the first time I entered the final battle of Awakening and this song started playing. It was one hell of a moment to a guy fairly new to the series. Glad to see Purpose get a cover from you.
Yeah, it was pretty moving for me too. That was the moment that made me love the franchise and really get into Fire Emblem. This song alone, the moment it began, made Fire Emblem one of my two favorite franchises. I've played most of the FE titles now, and Awakening's post-credits scene it's still my favorite moment in all Fire Emblem games.
@GoldenCyclone4 You can tell you're a true Fire Emblem fan if you say 'Gods' rather than 'Gods'! The final battle's opening chapter always leaves me in tears, and I don't think It'll ever fail to spark those emotions in me... Awakening delivered it's music well, in true Fire Emblem style!
''Stand up! You've got to fight back! Anything can change, my friend. And damn the gods if this fate tries to stop us! We have the greatest of strenght to overcome even this tragedy and it's the bonds you've helped us connect and build. We've been through so much together. You've helped me muster the will to stand tall and strong for the ones I loved. I can't do this without you. I beg of you... Come back. Come back to me... to us! We still need you for this final stretch and the days to come!''
I don’t know what it is but... I feel nostalgic, I feel emotional. I’m brought back to 6th grade where all my friends are talking about this game they picked up: Fire Emblem Awakening. So when I get the new Nintendo 3DS in 7th grade, I finally pick up the game. I was blown away, completely and utterly. All I can say is thank you for bringing these memories back to me.
It was this game that got me through quarantine. I played it over ten times in a few months, and every time it brought tears to my eyes because when I played it.... I wasn't trapped inside. I was saving the world from certain demise. I was... Robin. And this game was also what made me hellbent on collecting every Fire Emblem Game I could. I had Three Houses, and whilst it was amazing, this was the game that truly made me LOVE the series with a passion. This final map theme, while not my favorite, was amazing in its own way and was beautiful. It hits me every time I hear it. Thank you so much for this orchestration. Even though I've only had the game for about a year or two, this makes me feel nostalgic. Thank you.
Agreed. If one can criticize how the franchise has changed in many ways after Awakening, one cannot say that the OSTs lost in quality. They are as amazing as the older ones.
Well the arguments are mainly about the support system which is too much of a fanservice, the difficulty level which is too easy and the scenario which is not really a complex one.
Look at Chrom's beautiful face on the cover of this beautiful orchestration. It's fitting. GREAT job, Rush! This is absolutely gorgeous, I can't get over how fantastic of a musical genius you are. Keep up the magnificent work! (And as for suggestions for the next piece, have you considered an orchestration for the anime Attack on Titan? Along with the three openings, Reluctant Heroes, and Great Escape, there are other beautiful songs within the series that I think would sound marvelous as one of your covers. But whatever you decide, I know it'll be professionally-amazing!)
I think it's actually referring to the fact that awakening's story is specifically history repeating itself from genealogy of the holy war, especially in Lucina's timeline and the Future Past, where the children are called the New Twelve Crusaders (Morgan, the thirteenth child, didn't count since he/she was in the service of Grima and thus an enemy of Naga). Aside from that, there's also the inheritance of Falchion and the fact Awakening is a very slightly altered version of Generation 1 of Genealogy of the Holy War, with most beats being kept similar.
And considering this is the avatar, it could also be referring to the avatar themselves since it's canon that the avatars of Fire Emblem are all Zelda style reincarnations (except the FE7 one who is implied to literally be the FE13 avatar in a similar situation to Odin and the other Awakening kids, except that's where the avatars mother took them PRIOR to the game instead of it being after the events of Awakening). Implicating the avatar being born a third time in FE history
As divisive as the newer titles are amongst fans, the soundtrack is usually on point, and ID (Purpose) is one of the best things Awakening brought us. You managed to give this already grand song your own spin, your own kind of grandness, with a slower build-up, and I´m a sucker for those :D great work, glad I found your channel
as a long time fe fan, i had a much bigger issue with fates than awakening. awakening for the most part was mechanically sound and never really felt unfair. fates on the other hand felt infinitely more gimmicky and had a tendency to use certain mechanics as a difficulty crutch which i found to be very insulting (namely the skills that reduced stats after combat)
sry. i didn't mean to divert the subject matter. this piece is put together well. i would very much like to see him incorporate ike's "eternal bound" in one of these if he hasn't yet.
To be honest, Awakening was what drew me into the series, because it offered an easier slide into the mechanics than most other games in FE offer. I had played Radiant Dawn before, and as an unblooded newbie it had kicked my ass from one side to the other. I now own every FE I could easily lay my hands on (not that many - Awakening, Fates, Sacred Stones, the "original", Echoes) and thoroughly enjoy them all. Though I will say I liked Awakening much more than Fates. Awakening is still my personal favourite (and this is not likely to change), and the only FE game where I've actually completed it on the hardest setting multiple times.
my personal favorite is a toss up between "Radiant Dawn" and "Genealogy of the Holy War". both were fairly massive games for their times too.Genealogy had a 2 part story and Radiant Dawn had 4. most of the staple mechanics that are present in the new fe titles also started with Genealogy too. the weapon triangle, "selective breeding" and class skills (i.e. Astra, Luna etc) were all first introduced there.
@Jonathan Maki Divert all you like, always a fan of some well formulated opinions, too many comment sections are lacking those :) Fates mechanics are...interesting, to say the least. With skills and pair-ups, in both stances, there were a lot more things to consider each turn. Throw in map-gimmicks (especially in Revelation..seriously, was there a non-gimmick map in that route?) plus the constant stat reductions you mentioned that are only semi-predictable, and it becomes extremely hard to predict and follow the outcome of any given turn. Throw in a very sloppy and convoluted story, and I can totally understand why one would prefer Awakening to Fates. Never had the opportunity to play Radiant Dawn, but it generally receives high praise, hope there will be a rerelease at some point. Listening to the song you mention, Eternal bond, while typing this, yeah, its a really good theme, lots of elements that could be incorporated into one of these ochestrations. Genealogy is on my to-play list as well, will get to that soonish, it has a certain legend around it, so I hope my expectations will be met. @Hadron V Kudos to you for beating Awakening on the hardest difficulty, never touched that myself, but I heard nightmare stories about the difficulty of those modes.
Do..... DO you know the tears you have brought me to? Do you know the sobbing I am doing and the freedom of my soul I feel? 'Id Purpose' has always been an extremely emotionally-moving piece for me, especially when Awakening was the first game I played of the series that got me cemented deep into the fandom. To hear it reformed in such a beautiful orchestral track... I... I have no words. I am extremely happy to hear this, thank you for making this.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Id(Purpose) is one of my favorite music tracks out there. And I got the chills when I heard the Fire Emblem theme in there. This is truly a masterpiece.
I cant remember if I’ve ever commented on this video or not so if i have I’m doing it again. When you first published this I didn’t follow you yet and it turned up in my recommendations. I listened to it and I remember how beautiful I thought it was. And not only was it beautiful but it also made all my memories of awakening come flooding back. I played that game a lot and I mean a LOT and I hadn’t played it in a while when this came out. It was like seeing someone you were really, super close to and really cared about, who you hadn’t seen in a long time. It melted my heart. I love this piece with all my heart because it reminds me of my first fire emblem game and all the adventures I had playing it. It really touches me every time I listen to it and I’ll never stop listening to this. So thanks you for what you do because this song is just so special to me.
This is BEAUTIFUL, YOU DID IT AGAIN!!! It will pretty amazing if You could do others Fire Emblem Orchestration, but as you said in the description You have never played this game before...Either way your videos can be a orchestration of a pancake crashing to the floor and you will transform it in a master piece and i will loved
I was thinking of requesting a Fire Emblem piece before this came out, but I guess someone else did. Sounds great, as always! I love the music from these games and you made it even more beautiful.
Awakening might not have been the best Fire Emblem game but it will still be a classic in our hearts. I was a fan several years before it was released but it was still one of my premier experiences with the franchise. Nice Lucina profile picture by the way. I'd recognize that anywhere.
if 1:40 doesn't give you the chills, I don't know what will! Was sent here by Izaw's art of ike, and I'm so glad I discovered this song and your channel.
I never played any of the fire emblem titles and from the title I didn't know what I going to expect with this arrangement. Once I heard the acrodian and the strings finally play in the middle, it felt like a nostalgic experience of video game soundtracks I've played a while back. Then the piano happened, it reminded me of Pokemon Colosseum from GameCube, because of the calm, relaxing tone of the arrangement
Every time I come back to one of your orchestrations...I am always amazed. Seriously, you need to be hired for your music. You create such majestic pieces that do each & every video game or show so much justice. Keep it up because this is beautiful!

I'm very impressed with this remix! For a while I've been looking for a good ID purpose remix and not only did I find it right here but expectations for a good remix have been shattered by "a legacy reborn"
An old playthrough of Awakening that I watched long ago used this. I revisited it and heard this song, just… wow. For a game that I didn’t even know existed until after I discovered Three Houses, it still feels nostalgic. Absolutely Beautiful
Absolute masterpiece. I reckon you could turn anything into a moving piece, no matter what it was. Keep doing what you do cause you're doing a damn good job at it.
Love your use of the accordion. It's re-appearance and highlight in the original soundtrack, while not necessarily my favourite voicing in the tracks, is definitely part of its character and I was very happy to hear you use it consistently to capture that same image. Looking forward to your next piece!
I seem to have showed up a bit late, but I think that this is a masterful piece of work for the Fire Emblem game closest to my heart. Brought me damn well near to tears.
I just found your channel and you've already done covers of RWBY, FE and The Legend of Zelda, and they're all fantastic!! You've found yourself a new subscriber!
I am binge watching all of your videos and subbed now, you are amazing and these are truly beautiful works of art. I hope you are proud of what you've created because you should be!!
I just finished this game a few days ago, one of the best games I've never played in my entire life, it was so good, so perfect, It was like returning to have 6 years old and grab my DS every afternoon to play some games, the music feels so peaceful, I don't have more words to descubre what this game has done to me, other words but BEAUTIFUL
To Rush Garcia: I've just begun watching this orchestra of Fire Emblem Awakening music, and I'm already loving it! From Christian Kainalu Ryu Fujinaka, Hawaii-born UA-cam player
Each video you have made has been nothing short of a masterpiece. You clearly favor quality over quantity, something that is very rare these days, keep it up!
Maybe it's the accordion, not really sure, but this really took me back to the old Professor Layton games... Feels like something straight out of Unwound Future...
I'm so sorry for my language but i'm f** CRYING MY EYES OFF!!!! fire emblem awaking was my first emblem game i've ever played it doesn't get enough love,I ❤️this sooo much thank you for making this video. This is my second commet already omg this is so emoitional mostly at the end!!! Love U Chrom
Hey Rush i'm a new subscriber that adores your music and i may not have a request but your music just hits me right in those good moments in my child hood I cant tell u just how good your arrangements r i have half a mind to tell nintendo that they should get u to write music for a game you would take every one aback by just how stunning and butifull your music is this comment might get lost in nistalsa filled comments but i just want u to know that u have made a already great day even beter!
I love love LOVE this!!!! Made my day when I listened to it. I'd love to hear some SAO or Fairy Tail in the future, that might actually make me fangirl even more than I already am!

Hearing Robin's theme on accordion always makes me tear a little, amazing job.
Great job on this masterpiece, I would love to hear more of fire emblem but i'm sure you make almost everything sound good. Keep up the amazing work.

I love the double symbolism in the title, both for the return of Robin, and the franchise. I am always happy seeing this on my shuffle~
dammit, wheres my awakening copy when you need it, 6 years later and the music still holds.

This is really amazing btw!
yeah it does !
The section starting at 4:00 is absolutely incredible! I get chills every time I hear that part.
My favorite piece by you.
*Happy Robin noises*
Rush once again your work amazes me , really hoping for a fullmetal alchemist orchestration in the best future
Olan Corcoran An Fma orchestration would be amazing, especially done by Rush
I would cry both tears of joy and sadness
Olan Corcoran
it happened. ;)
Oh. My. GOD. As soon as I heard the accordion, I got literal chills up and down my whole body.
You hit the right notes perfectly.
God I love this game, thanks for the track, made it even better somehow.
Thanks so much for putting this together! I love Fire Emblem
By doing both RWBY and Fire Emblem so fantastically, you have earned yourself another subscriber. Now, its "TIME TO RING THE BELL!"
TIME TO HIT THE LIKE BUTTON!
This is really awesome. I espacally love the accordion. Much love
IKR I love accordions makes it feel so exotic
As someone who's first Fire Emblem was Awakening, this makes me tearfully happy~ Ah, this orchestration is so ethereal and magnificent~
that wonderful musette is the best thing. 3:40 is such a fantastic modulation--great bassoon writing!
You’re perfect,as ever
Absolutely wonderful!!!
As a Lucina main in both Smash 4 and ultimate, I'm really happy you made this. "The future is not written!"
3:08 hit me and god damn the shivers up my spine.
Also you should do an Evangelion orchestration.
This is so
And I cannot stress this enough
EPIC
Every time I come back to one of your orchestrations...I am always amazed. Seriously, you need to be hired for your music. You create such majestic pieces that do each & every video game or show so much justice. Keep it up because this is beautiful!
You caught my attention with "CLRS". Now you've gotten me to subscribe with this one. From one composer to another, beautiful work; absolutely beautiful!
Gods, this music would seriously Encourage an entire army to go to war...Im being serious...is this what it means to *feel* like fire emblem?
This is amazing!! FE Awakening is my favorite game ever, thanks for this masterpiece!! ♥
This is wonderful
I'm a simple person. I see Chrom, I click.
But great job with this piece. It's beautiful, have a thumbs up!
Juste LEGENDEAIRE.
Only one minute of this orchestration and I decided to like and subscribe! This is awesome, good job!
Wow, this pulls at my heart strings. Great work!
Good Lord the hint of Id (Serenity) that you sneaked in at the end was absolutely perfect. Well done!
Absolutely Beautiful
this is....amazing... i needed this in my life
i'm screeching and i dont think i'll ever stop. this is absolutely beautiful and amazing. perfect for one of my favorite games of all time.
Absolute masterpiece. I reckon you could turn anything into a moving piece, no matter what it was. Keep doing what you do cause you're doing a damn good job at it.
Awesome job man, you are the one who got me to start listening to orchestrations with the RWBY one, and you have not disappointed me with this either.
Fire Emblem: Awakening has always been and will always be my favorite entry in the series. This is Awesome!
Dude, this is awesome! Every time I listen to one of your songs, I get a little more impressed! This is so inspiring!
Love your use of the accordion. It's re-appearance and highlight in the original soundtrack, while not necessarily my favourite voicing in the tracks, is definitely part of its character and I was very happy to hear you use it consistently to capture that same image.
Looking forward to your next piece!
This earned you a new subscriber in the form of myself. Absolutely top-notch work, here; excellently done.
What a sublime theme. What a sublime game. I want to believe that anything really can change...
Hmmm, I've never played either, nor have I ever heard what you biased this on, but man does it still sound amazing!!
I seem to have showed up a bit late, but I think that this is a masterful piece of work for the Fire Emblem game closest to my heart. Brought me damn well near to tears.
This is first video I've watched of yours but I LOVE IT!! SUBSCRIBED! Please keep these coming!
Excellent work! I hope we continue down this Fire Emblem rabbit hole with some stuff from the older games or Shadows of Valentia in the future!
Your work gives me chills in my spine. It's so pleasing.
I must admit, this gives me chills evertytime I listen to it
The last part of the song made me tear a little. Now this is my favorite thing on UA-cam.
I just found your channel and you've already done covers of RWBY, FE and The Legend of Zelda, and they're all fantastic!! You've found yourself a new subscriber!
ANOTHER ONE INTO MY PLAYLIST! i love the love harmonica(?) build up bits!
I am binge watching all of your videos and subbed now, you are amazing and these are truly beautiful works of art. I hope you are proud of what you've created because you should be!!
Maybe it's time for me to stop my annihilation of the human race. I could use a little nap right about now...
Grima, the Fell Dragon / the Creation 😂
I swear I see you on every Fire Emblem video I watch.
Tiffany Champagne
I get that a lot lol. Doesn't help my sleeping problem though.
We have enough dragons trying to cause the apocalypse. You deserve a break.
I see them everywhere too.
I love this game and it´s music- the orchestration of A Legacy Reborn is like a dream became reality!
GODLIKE. Just simply beautiful. So much nostalgia.
Very impressive work. I share just about all your orchestrations when you post them.
Yo Rush! Amazing work! I'm so happy I finally found your channel !

To Rush Garcia: I've just begun watching this orchestra of Fire Emblem Awakening music, and I'm already loving it! From Christian Kainalu Ryu Fujinaka, Hawaii-born UA-cam player
Awesome job, as always!
This is wonderful, thank you. 💙✨
it's really good! I read the description and you have to play it, it's really good
bro u made me cry. I'm crying. thank you
Each video you have made has been nothing short of a masterpiece. You clearly favor quality over quantity, something that is very rare these days, keep it up!
Maybe it's the accordion, not really sure, but this really took me back to the old Professor Layton games... Feels like something straight out of Unwound Future...
