I’m Dominican and we invest heavily in Dominican Republic. Hopefully soon there can be political and legal change so all the Haitians outside of Haiti can invest and revolutionize the country, the time is now. You guys are half our size but have double the coastline, tourism in Haiti needs to be developed and marketed. Most Haitians I know haven’t been in Haiti in 15-20 years because they feel unsafe .
That’s so true. Haiti has about 2millions of people outside of the country and if even 50 percent of the diaspora return to invest in Haiti then we would see real change. But we have too much thieves in the government and private sector and we need to remove them first.
Very nice. I went through that process getting a land for my mom. Right on point. I’m happy for you. The only thing I regret is that I was working on limited time and didn’t have time to truly work with an engineer to get a house plan. If you have time, think about it before building. I did most of the work myself, house plan and all, though we did have a builder, he wasn’t a planner. It was amazing experience I got to share with my mother. Didn’t let her lift a thing. The best house I’ve ever lived in was in Haiti and I’ve traveled to many countries. If you plan, you can have something beautiful. They have beautiful flowers, fish ponds are nice, fruit plants. I wish you the best!!
Man you are not going to regret it. I just brought some for 25k. It took me 18 months to finish off. And i already spent 20k to built the house but i am not done yet. And i wish other Haitians who lived here to do the same.
If you don't mind me asking, what region did you buy at? I'm at the same point in my life where I'm starting to think about investing in Haiti. Grew up in P-A-P but I'd love to buy land outside the city.
Honestly you should open a real estate company in Haiti for folks who wants to buy land, like help them find a good land or ease the process for them of course you need to charge them a fee, but some of us need a true friend and honest person in Haiti to do business with
I feel you man, magouyè pa jwe, my dad lost a land he bought after he built a house on it. So be vigilant when buying land in Haiti. Always make sure each step is completed don't get ahead of yourself.
Congrats my brother ☺️. Haiti will be the greatest in the world soon. You have made a powerful decision by securing yourself a spot in Haiti. Please believe!!! I have pondered upon finding a spot there myself. Congrats again.

Chris..congrats. big fan of yours here..and on top of that we're from the same region of the country..paillant-Miragoane. Go figure. First of all. did u pay in full for the land..or u just make a down payment and what's the size..? who pays the surveyor..seller or buyer..?
Buying a piece of land in Haiti shouldn't be like buying mangoes at a super market. A smart buyer should force his notary to do a thorough " title search '' for him (her)at the DGI, and then, maybe then u can have a shot at getting ahead in the transaction. Do not ever rely on what the prospective seller tells you. EVER.
"UA-cam adsense has you making money left and right? "Nope!" SeeJeanty , that was funny. This was fresh , honest and much needed video giving your perspective and facts exploring the pros and cons buying land especially from a diaspora perspective.
I’m so proud of you brother I wish all the youngster understand how beautiful haiti is all this crimes violence only to push us away from this beautiful paradise call haiti
The word professionalism doesnt exist in Haitian govt as well as in Haitian society. We need really a reset button like you mention but those in power refuse to do it
Congratulations brethren. Congratulations and the land. I have land in Haiti and a house but I'm finding it difficult to get the land officially in my name.
You are a bright young man without prejudice and you know that it's important to include everyone in your capacity to recognize our deficiency in the reality of a mentality doomed to make inorganic priorities a must to reform the systematized identity of being a human being
Blessings my brother, you are giving solid information. I was fortunate to have a land my father bought way back from a reputable and legitimate seller way back in 1967. I had my father bring the deed to the Haitian Embassy itself to notarized and the notarized copy is in the government office. People have to follow the advice in this video for real, because their are alot of shady people in Haiti, and some people will not think twice to rip you of. Again great work my brother and many blessings on your land.
my brother, I love everything you have doing sharing this information and knowledge. i am so please to have found your channel. i know the journey of getting these information are not easy, i want to say thank you for everything!!!!
While that's true. It's also a good safeguard for the ones that have nothing else to live off of other than that family land. Which is why people get killed trying to sell family land all the time. Because a lot of time when a family member sell the land, it can leave other family members with literally no where else to go.
Every land that my husband and I purchased someone claims. I think it's the nature of the beast. The first we built as a rental property, the second is strictly for crops, and the third we plan to build our retirement home.
Thank you for sharing your experience here. I’m happy to hear you describe the same process my parents explained to me. I’ve got a ways to go but it will happen. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Yeah, even when you have your herited Land, and you come to get it this is when problems starts and RIP vibes are around you. I lost a lot a lot in this. Nevermind the land, it's the heart of the people that needs to be changed.
I just discovered your channel about a week ago. You are awesome . thank you for showing a different side of haiti. I am haitian who left haiti as a teenager. I will support your channel in anyway i can
Informative vlog yet the Risk factor is high when purchasing property in the Caribbean, the questions, doubts & and fears are not uncommon to most of the Caribbean Islands..
merci monsieur , I am hoping to buy some land in the mountains. This is super insightful since I've never returned home. One day we will get back to where we were
It is a process in itself well explained I've done exactly that. One of our cousins sold 8 of our lands without getting the family's signature so even in that process it can be crooked as well. Some we don't care for it but two of them I will get them back. Next note on your way to Payant you drive in front of my beach land the view is immaculate it's paradise. We seem to cross close path on the places you visit Jeanty so I know I'll meet you because on your way to Payant you'll be passing in front of my house to be. I will most likely reach out to Ricardo with the echo info that you shared. I designed the plan now needing a professional to bring it to life. I planted some coconut trees so by the time I build it's flourishing. Yes, credit is everything and I get a double look when they see my credit like how is that even possible. Amazing post as usual...

" You're not buying the land, you're buying the word of the seller, etc." That is true and that's very smart, but it also sounds very scary and risky when buying a land in Haiti.
My folks bought land in Fort Jacques many years ago and when they died they didn't leave the property title. I would like to build on the land but have no idea what we're up against.
I have a question for you. What kind of documents did you use as a form of identification to make the purchase and get the deed registered as an american citizen? Did you have to get a Haitian ID card?

Make sure you plante a lot of fruits and vegetables trees around your land. . .
You're right most of people don't think about that that's why they suffer in Haiti...
Very good idea

This is the problem with Haiti People claim Lands when they are not even owners and selling it to others

Thank Haiti our generosity and your piece of land cause we fought for the whole island.
Bro im proud of you .. im a general contractor in canada and i wish to develop haiti too
Hereditary in Haiti is the biggest road block, even in my family theirs land dispute that why their need to be a will.
Same thing with my family. I figure I’ll just get my own.
@@brownilocks25 Best thing to do.
unfortunately most black people do not believe in will and/or contracts among family.

Very helpful. I'm trying to build a school there. I live in the DR so it's so uncertain not being there.
