Dear Matt, Freddie and Bear. Thank you all for bringing back a forgotten memory. My husband, I and my toddler daughter visited Eyam in the mid nineties. Like you, we visited the graveyard, church etc and delved in to the History. Little did we know that my hubby would pass away when my daughter was 8. So to bring this memory back to mind was wonderful ❤. Thank you. The chippy looked ace 😍
I absolutely love this video the history was amazing… the drone was awesome…. Yes there’s a small Matt in the making!! Thank you for this adventure.. I got to see it Thur your eyes ❤
I loved this video. I remember learning about Eyam when I was at school, many, many moons ago. What courageous people they were to close themselves off so the plague wouldn't spread. Young Freddie is a credit to you, I love his giggles and he seems so interested like he did when you went to Pompei, he's learning a lot from you. Bear, what can I say, he's such a cutie even when he's barking and pulling on the lead to get at other dogs. The stream part was funny. Thanks for this video. 🙏🏼🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Live the history! Being from Canada we don't have things going back that far. Love seeing Freddie enjoying history with his Dad. Also boo bear is the best
I loved it, Matt. 💙 The history, the architecture, a beautiful English village, cool drone footage, baby lambs, Freddie, and Bear, oh yeah, and you! Thank You for sharing, Matt.
Loved this! Absolutely fascinating. You are lucky to live around so much history. I live in the states and my state was FOUNDED by pioneers in 1847. Prior to that it was native Americans living in teepees around here. We don’t have anything remotely like this! Oh, and I live in the desert. ❤
God bless the Native Americans. My generation in my opinion are so deeply sorry for what we did to your lives. You were here on this frontier before us my ancestors stole your land and freedom. I am truly sorry you were sent to reservation camps round up like cattle. We are Human Beings. What in the hell is wrong with people. Discrimination and hate shall not ever prevail. We love all peoples forever and ever!
Lovely video Matt, i seen loads of video,s of EYAM and each one features something different , the way you explained things to Freddie was great , typical lad climbing ,running around just enjoying himself and little Bear falling in the stream that made me chuckle ,i can just imagine the problems you would have had with those two and the other one Andy of course , by the way drone footage was great thanks for sharing .
Good vid matt, I've always liked seeing a good ole cemetery with names an dates on tombstones but unfortunately not all are readable over a certain period of time
I absolutely love this type of history. This is one of your best. Would love to spend so much quality time in this village. I wanted to see and hear more about this place. Thank you, thank you
Oh, Matt we do love ya but it would be real nice to see more of Freddie and Bear! I understand that not all places would be suitable for Freddie but every chance you get please bring him. Bear is tougher and can handle more places. I loved this day with your son and Bear!!

What a stunning place but with such a sad history. Freddie seems like such a lovely boy and Bear is just too cute. He looks like a chunky little doorstop! Always makes me smile 😍

The book with the list of names is the register of baptisms and marriages, not a list of the dead. Really great video, lovely to join you all out and about 😍
Matt if you can please do more of this type of history video. I thought Ely was the place that the plague started and the villagers cut themselves off. Well done Freddy for finding so many interesting things to see. Fantastic video.
I love this type of explore . One thing I miss since coming to Holland to live are the beautiful old churches in England. The chair of the reverend is in such good condition because they new how to build real furniture back then and didn’t get a flat pack from a Swedish company 😊

The "treeman" was an interesting treat that really makes you wonder why it's there and for what reason???!!! Was it just a decorative little bit that someone decided to add to the tree as a mystery or what's its purpose and reason???!! The next question is how old is it and who made it or put it there??? Lots of questions but no answers yet!!! 🥰❤❤ The moss around it adds a nice touch!! You could almost imagine that it's a gnome peaking out of his hiding place!!!😂🤣😂🥰❤❤
Really enjoyed that video Matt 😊 Lovely to see Freds & Bear & I bet Freddie enjoys your little adventures ❤️ I went on a school trip there too & I lived in Wythenshawe, Manchester then. We did grave rubbings to put up in the classrooms - how charming eh? (This was in the 80's!)
