Wow these are really cool! It's kind of unusual for the size to be 45, right? Many average optical frames are usually 47. I would think 45 would look small but they actually look absolutely the perfect size. Any idea why?

I have two pairs in different colors and you hit the nail on the head - the lens sizing is small but the frames are pretty standard fit. That’s because ordinarily lenses are set inside an acetate frame. But in these the lenses are set inside a titanium ring, which is then set inside the frames. So the actual lenses are a bit smaller because they’re surrounded by a titanium ring that together are the size of a normal lens.

@@etudetableau Mine are the first edition of these Hanalei frames, which are virtually the same as the second edition. I have one conservative black frame (called “black tar”) with antique gold finishings and a gradient lens, and one funky bold contrasting tortoiseshell frame (called “bohemian tortoiseshell”) with silver finishings and a dark rose gradient lens. I like them so much that when I saw the pair in this video I purchased them on shade review’s website because they’re in the sweet spot between conservative and super funky at less than half price.

Why is it so difficult to see which Ray Ban sunglasses are made of glass or plastic, everything is hidden and cannot be read anywhere. Have sent for two pairs Round metal and both were fitted with plastic 🤬🤬

Really? Usually Icons come with glass lenses, such as Wayfarers, Pilots, Club masters... Cristal lenses are way clearer.
