I have the earlier version of this model. Having the screen is super nice. Those new features make me think that a family member needs a used borescope and that i need this one lol.
This is an excellent segment. I am not a machinist however in my career I've done my share. The interesting part for me is to see what I would call the shale effect. For whatever reason I had expected to see a much more machined surface vs a bit of pitting and cratering. This was an excellent view in what it is vs what I thought. Thank you for sharing.
This was very generous on the part of the manufacturer. That kind of sensible marketing makes one want to check it out. Thanks for the video heads up on this product.
Lots of manufacturers donate products to tech schools. Not only is it good advertising and familiarize students with the item, but the tech schools give good feedback to the manufacturer.
I bought a rigid rod with the screen unit a few years back. Kinda got it for a single purpose but I keep finding more uses for it. Been happy with it. Planning to add a flexible camera for other purposes.
Chad, I'd recommend researching cell phone mounts for that screen. You can find them that will clamp on a table so they're not permanent. They also have gooseneck ones so students can move the screen around.
I've got the one that plugs into the laptop and it works great, also comes with a nice carrying case. Might look into getting this one since the external screen saves some bench space. Great video!
I use the flexible Teslong with a computer... I haven't had any problem with focus. BUT... To be honest I am only checking to make sure the barrel is good to shoot, not how perfect it is...
I bought one of these when they first came out. Very excited for the internal focus. However, mine quit working last week (error message camera not found). Curious to see your experience. These a great for the price and have all but replaced my Hawkeye.

Pretty nice for a couple hundo's. I've been wanting something like this, thanks Chad.
I'm going to grab one soon
Saw these on a Brownell’s web video and the clarity on these looked great. I don’t know what could beat these at the price they’re asking for.
Any idea when the ruger batch inspecting will be released?

Crazy you can see the flakes on the mirror.
I might have missed it, but how much is their new scope?
I think the USB teslong scope is a much better choice as it allows you to capture, store, and send the images in high quality.
