Nicole Kidman Wins Best Actress Motion Picture Drama - Golden Globes 2003

Brad Pitt presents the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama award to Nicole Kidman for her role in "The Hours." Kidman thanked the Hollywood Foreign Press, Stephen Daldry, Scott Rudin, Paramount, Sherry Lansing, Harvey Weinstein, Susan Batson, Mark Epstein and her talented competitors. She asked the writers and directors of Hollywood to keep writing and making films for all the talented actresses.

The most intricate movie I have ever watched and still no. 1 in my books. I watched it countless times almost the same time I spent rewatching Chicago in the cinema. In the end, Chicago bagged the Oscar for Best Picture, but while it was also deserved I guess it boiled down to the "steam" it appealed to the voting members. But Nicole's performance holds the most riveting ever to date!

Julianne Moore was the fave going in, so this win was considered an upset. Julianne looks f--kin PISSED here!
Of course with this win it was pretty much smooth sailing for Nicole that entire awards season. Think the only major award she lost was the SAG award to Renee Zellweger for "Chicago".
