Sure he wants to return because now he’s not getting the big bucks like before the season. He has not been hitting people so he doesn’t get hurt for free agency instead of laying it on the line like Ramsey does. Holland is known for his hits. Anyone remember any classic hits he’s made this year? I sure don’t. But I remember the last few games where he steps aside and lets Josh Allen score the td. I remember several times he moved aside or tried to grab at the side instead of hitting them hard.
I depends if he is asking for a top 5 or top 10 contract then no but he has had a good career don’t think one season should decide his career especially if it isn’t a monstrous deal
I dont see how the fins increase their cap space 30 or 40 mil unless you look at what the cap increase is for next season. They will save a little if Armstead retires but they are in a really tight spot when considering contract restructures. They are sitting at just over 3 million next season and still need to add 18 players to get to 54. Thats 3 million to add 18 players including draft picks. Grier really effed up giving Hill and Ramsey new extensions when they already had top tier contracts.
Jevon is worth 5-10 million range for 1-2 year contract IMO and I think he knows that as well I’d give him a contract with bonuses for field play etc 🤔
Miami should definitely sign back Jevon Holland, just the idea, knowing that he wants to come back means he’s going to go his hardest, and the potential is there without a doubt, the biggest question was his effort, I love that it would not be a question anymore. It’s definitely worthwhile.
Let him go. He doesn't deserve the big contract he was looking like he deserved before the season started. Dolphins should have waited on Tua like they waited on Holland. 😢
I think you’re just plain wrong on Holland Nick. You need to shed old guys and the bloated contracts on this team and replace them with youth. Bring back holland, bring back Phillips
$19 million per year? No way. Fix safety room with #1 draft pick and move Ramsey to safety - who has said he would do and at 30 a good long term more. B Jones, Kohou, Campbell (if he will), Huntley, Dodson, Ogbah and Hand. for same money as Holland. No brainer.
Rolly my take would be I would resign Holland ONLY if the price tag is between $14-16 Mil per year but also add another safety like Blackmon or even Malaki Starks in the draft. I believe Holland is at his best when he has another good safety opposite of him and not a liability like Poyer
The question isn't rather to sign him or not the question is we need 2 more safeties at a starting level of talent even if we do resign him and who is that going to be because we aren't going to draft 2 starter quality safeties in the draft and free agency is not looking good in that category so we have a serious need at that position and we need CB depth as well because smith hasn't made the jump in this newly coached defense this year as I thought he would also his injuries are worrisome so kohou being free agent and Smith not ready or to ever be a starter n losing Needham in the fallout of 53 man roster cuts this year our whole DB group is a concern of mine almost as much as needing 2 guards to have a decent offensive line next year also Paul our big draft pick to replace armstread has a lot of work to do he's great size n weight but is very raw n needs to come a long way to fill those shoes at LT.. idk I'm 38 and the dolphins my entire life even in the 90s towards end of Marino's career just never seem to take that step from mid level to great n I thought we did so many times till we take the field for the season n let me down time n time again.. but still phinz up for Life but sure would be nice to be a real threat in AFC to take a run at that trophy.. lastly in my opinion Grier should of been fired years ago I hate his guts n he fucks us over year after year
This turned out to be his only forced fumble of the season. He took the rest of the season off. He and Poyer treated ball carriers like matadors treat bulls. Ole!
Don't get me wrong I like javon Holland as person and that's a football player but no I don't think we should resign him because he is goin want to much money in my opinion
Holland looked like a rare good Grier pick but he’s had an extraordinary amount of injuries for so young a player that has obviously taken some wind out of his sails. The thing I don’t get is, if half of what you say is true about him, he can’t do this he can’t do that his PFF grades are low then why is he the so highly regarded in the FA market to be? How is he.a 4 yr $100 million man if he can’t stay healthy, can’t tackle and can’t pass cover?
He’s a top guy because his one good year. I think most teams think we r inept and once he gets out of Miami he’ll play well he hated Fangio so that’s his excuse that year. This year we have a new coordinator. So they rewrite history.
Javon Holland! I don't know, 50 50 chance! Only if we get a better defensive coordinator that can use him right like Vic Frangio, Josh Boyer, or Brian Flores!
Jovanna Hollins who definitely come back to the Dolphins, especially knowing that this is where he wants to be, which means he's going to give more effort
Why does Holland wanna come back to Miami so he can suck it up again or is it so he can talk crap to the fans? I don’t want him back. Grier better hurry up and make it happen before he gets tossed out.
Poyer is even worse. Answer this. Can you do worse with these numbers? If you get two with better stats and will be much cheaper. It's a no-brainer, right?
Y. I think that he has had a few injuries and regressed, though i dont think he is a liability and i think if he wants to come back and we can get him for less than projected then i think we need to bring him back. Poyer needs to go more than Holland. Weaver was the D-Line coach in Baltimore so it could be a different scheme that does not use the safetys as much. I think we need to release Poyer and bring in Georgia safety Malaki Starks to pair with Holland
If Holland is made to play JUST an over the top, FREE safety ONLY, then yes, we can bring him back under that ROLE alone. If we plan on putting him in 1-on-1 coverage and putting him in the box a lot, then HEEEELLLLL NO! Holland cannot play in those roles. He is undersized and just does not have the toughness to play in that role. He is in no way, a versatile player so he is very limited in his abilities. And his contract should reflect that, in my honest opinion. If they bring him back .... *deep sigh* .... then put Ramsey in the Strong slot and leave Holland over the top. Ramsey is way more suited for the "in-the-box" style player and can cover in 1-on-1 situations, particularly against TE's and taller WR's.
I will definitely bring back Tyler Dotson, Emmanuel Agba, Calais, Campbell, Benito Jones, DeShawn Hamm cater Kohut Huntley would be a must bring back for Mmnt
Ross needs to move on from Grier, McBozo and Tua. The first is an idiot, the second is a beginner and the third has bird bones. Zero return on this HUGE investment. Wake up Ross. This franchise has been turned into a joke.

If his play has been so poor and he's regressed each season, why on earth would we want him back at ANY price. Even if he signed for 15 million a year he still hasn't been a good safety in a couple years. So let the guy go out and get paid elsewhere so a different team can be disappointed in their secondary "leader". Move on no matter the price and hope you get a comp pick for the guy.
we should sign malakai starks and get justin reid in free agency, get rid of poyer and jevon, and in the other rounds of the draft we have to get decent guards
Sure sign him for a billion dollars. Seems like paying people to do nothing is what we do best. Tua, Tyfreak, Waddle, McBozo..... all resigned for big cash and all tanked. Prove me wrong.
Kyle Hamilton and Holland are no where near the same kind of player. Holland doesnt tackle good enough to play in the box. Nor does he have the size that Hamilton has. Cant use them the same
Definitely let him go. He only wants to be resigned because he knows he’s not gonna get a great money on the market right now. He had a shitty year so he wants to return to Miami. What about the bullshit him and his dad were slinging throughout the year about the way he was used in Miami.
Miami Dolphins Solution to Win 10 points and 1 solution: 1. HILL - is NOT a once in a lifetime player. He's a spark, not the core, Creed Humphrey is. 2. TUA - Hasn't figured out Leadership occasionally requires tattooing fear in your teammates and ripping out the helmet headset for your next offensive play call. (Roethlisberger) 3. RAMSEY - is a once in a lifetime player. For christ sake BUY a FEARED DL PLEASE. 4. MCDANIEL - He's as good and as bad as Pete Carroll, and unfortunately for us Dolphins fans, we'll live the Peter Carroll Jets days and not the Seahawks. Note: Gameplans are a guide NOT the law. (Belichick, Harbaughs(s)) 5. OFFENSIVE GUARDS: ....anyone? anyone? Does this mic work......Center? Anyone? Anyone? (Humphrey) hello hello anyone??? (J. Kelce, Z. Martin) Run blocking is horrible. 6. BRIAN FLORES - Miss his DEFENSIVE MIND. Too early of a HC hire, did we really need to piss him off Mr. Ross? 7. ROSS - His decisions have been good at the wrong time. Or his decisions have been bad at the right time. I swear the refs in this league are against this owner. (Semi serious and semi joke here) 8. WALMART SALE at LINEBACKER: Leagues waits until Dolphins have a linebacker who rocks, then they leave. Van Ginkel will have more playoff experience than Mc Daniel in about 2 weeks. Garage sale or supply and demand tactic is NOT WORKING. 9. CHRIS GRIER - Ray Agnew is a stud (Detroit), Chris Grier smiles and nods, hits talent, but smiles and nods at releasing talent. Finds talent and smiles and nods to get something cheaper. Good for job security, bad for winning. Not tossing Grier because McDaniel twins well is another bs line from Ross or he's just dumb. (He's not dumb by any means) Retaining someone who listens while blowing up player's careers AND dwindling coaching winning percentages is a lot of work. It's also criminally quiet. 7b. ROSS - Boasts a self proclaimed role he wants to win. C'mon MAN. Frankly he's too smart and powerful for us to assume consistent poor judgement over decades is an accident. Ross has pissed off the league, coaches, and has somehow avoided critic crossfire from fans (us) He's content with a role of power and profits, winning is superficial. really enjoys the game hype not the win. Stephen Ross is an entrepreneur owner who profits well. Dolphin fans are screwed. 10. NFL OFFICIALS: Hate Ross. 1. SOLUTION: Fire Mr. Ross as the Dolphins owner and call for a replacement by Mrs. Kara Ross, she understands the word team. Mrs. Ross originated the Waddle dance, Ross just copied it and will likely file a patent for it. Then sell it to the highest bidder. 1b. SOLUTION: Start a petition, and ensure Hard Rock Stadium is empty week 1. Yes it can be done.

No, he is nothing special.
No
NO but maybe to let him understand this defense
Sure he wants to return because now he’s not getting the big bucks like before the season. He has not been hitting people so he doesn’t get hurt for free agency instead of laying it on the line like Ramsey does. Holland is known for his hits. Anyone remember any classic hits he’s made this year? I sure don’t. But I remember the last few games where he steps aside and lets Josh Allen score the td. I remember several times he moved aside or tried to grab at the side instead of hitting them hard.

How would you replace Jevon Holland? Free Agency or NFL Draft
Let him go. He doesn't deserve the big contract he was looking like he deserved before the season started. Dolphins should have waited on Tua like they waited on Holland. 😢
Well some of you didn't think AVG was worth the money either, how's that working out for us now?
Nic, I totally agree with your points in this post. Especially how to revamp the safety room
No I would not resign him
Draft Malaki Starks As Jevon Holland’s Replacement 💯
Holland hasn’t wanted to tackle all season… when he actually played. Sorry. Should have kept AVG, shipped Holland out
Lol, if he makes a pick 6 for a TD, which will be the first defensive TD of the year, everyone will be screaming to resign him. Missing TD getter AVG.
Exactly 💯

I agree! We need to get great draft picks for the O-line!
Yes we need to build
Holland needs to learn how to tackle before I would ever resign him.

If it wasn't for Holland, we would have lost to Jacksonville this season. Let that sink in. IMO we have to keep him.
This turned out to be his only forced fumble of the season. He took the rest of the season off. He and Poyer treated ball carriers like matadors treat bulls. Ole!
Don't miss any Dolphins breaking news! Best way to stay in the loop is to have the noti bell on!
Don't get me wrong I like javon Holland as person and that's a football player but no I don't think we should resign him because he is goin want to much money in my opinion
I agree Nic sign those guys that can help more than a guy that’s a bad tackler
Resign Campbell if he doesnt retire, and Snoop. Then we have to see who else gets cut.
Holland looked like a rare good Grier pick but he’s had an extraordinary amount of injuries for so young a player that has obviously taken some wind out of his sails. Where’s cb Ethan Bonner?
Absolutely yes!!
Y. He's 👍 great at his position.
I’m sure he does. Nah don’t want safeties who run a half speed. Got to go. ! Need someone who’s hungry.
if the price is right
Javon Holland! I don't know, 50 50 chance! Only if we get a better defensive coordinator that can use him right like Vic Frangio, Josh Boyer, or Brian Flores!
He made a business decision by not playing hard this year. we got to make a business decision to let his ass go.
Jovanna Hollins who definitely come back to the Dolphins, especially knowing that this is where he wants to be, which means he's going to give more effort
Walker ❎
Kohou ❎
Everyone else ✅ team friendly deals

Why didn't you mention south carolina gamecocks safety Emmanwori
Deshaun Elliot was better at a much reduced cost and we let him walk 🙄
Only on the cheap cheap !!! We need football players!!! Not football actors!!!
Depends on $$$$$
We are a best player available team in this years draft. Our window has closed . Time to rebuild

Tua tu Hawaii

We r stuck with tua, for 2 more yrs, no is taking that contract,
Let him go need money for offensive line and I would like to get younger in the secondary. Players who can tackle
With that this past year needs to be at a much lower price
I like Holland but he is ingure prone
You mean miss tackles prone
#SYDAU FUGG YOU PLAY AT @@darelldarville1930

One year deal , Poyer will be cut ,you don't want 2 rookies at Safety and there is no good F.A ...🤔
Nah, Move Ramsey to S, unless Holland willing to take top 15 pay instead of top 5
No trade him for a draft pick
Sure sign him for a billion dollars. Seems like paying people to do nothing is what we do best. Tua, Tyfreak, Waddle, McBozo..... all resigned for big cash and all tanked. Prove me wrong.

Kyle Hamilton and Holland are no where near the same kind of player. Holland doesnt tackle good enough to play in the box. Nor does he have the size that Hamilton has. Cant use them the same
Only for a cheap deal, he has shown nothing to warrant any kind of a medium or larger deal.
Too much money to bring him back and he hasn't showed me out there this year he's decreased in production
Hell noooooo
No let him go, get rid of poyer as well. They have been terrible all year. Terrible stats theyvare getting worse.
He is not having a good year, but had 3 good years prior to this one
Definitely let him go. He only wants to be resigned because he knows he’s not gonna get a great money on the market right now. He had a shitty year so he wants to return to Miami. What about the bullshit him and his dad were slinging throughout the year about the way he was used in Miami.
