I managed to get from ali express 50pcs DIY Tuning Papers 200 250 300 350 400 450 500 Mesh Tuning Cotton Pads Earphones DIY Adhesive Papers for 4 dollars. For the green filter sound, get the 350. For brighter tone, get the 300 and for a less treble get the 400. 50 filters and produce the same results. Remove the old filter and press the stickers into the noozle. Simple
The white is too shouty I love the brown filter little more treble soundstage than the green Better separation soundstage w/ white but not as versatile as it gets shouty specially w/ female vocals
@@greatresetgreatdeception7846 I used them on the ER2XR and ER2SE but it depends what you prefer. There isnt a massive difference between them but its fun trying out the different filters. Ive now gone back to the stock green ones but i like the white and brown ones as well at times.
if you remove the default green filter and leave it like that (without any filter) does it add bass ? trebble ? makes sound horrible ? this is a free mod worth trying :) i am looking for a mod to add bass to er2se is there one ?
Hi. Some time ago I've seen on this channel review of Pinnacle P1 earphones. I've own these for about four years but unfortunately couple of weeks left earbud stopped working. Immediately I thought about getting new set of Pinnacle P1's especially because of price drop but then I decided that maybe it's time to try something new. After long online searching I turn my gaze upon Etymotic ER_XR series but I have no chance to try these earphones anywhere so I tried to find some direct comparisons over the internet but with no luck. So even if this was some time ago I've found reviews of these two products in one place namely this channel that's why I'd like to ask you if you could compare Pinnacle P1 with Etymotic XR series earphones. I'm still deciding about the budget but first I would like to know your opinion in terms of direct comparison. I mainly use my earphones to just high quality music listening. Thanks in advance for your response/advice.
After having ER2XR for some time, this time I notice capsules get warm when listening loud, especially when playing loud bass levels. Does that mean mine is defective and should get replacement?
just use wavelet or whatever system wide parametric eq on computer and tune sound however you prefer, u can tune your etys to the target response of etymotics and export settings to wavelet
Welcome back 👍
Your measurements look completely different to other reviewers, what is your coupler?

I wish they were a little cheaper

I actually prefered the white filter for max detail. I dont hear any sibilance or harshness thats not already recorded into the music

Also surprisingly enough the best tips for er2 series is ety foam tips, i was quite surprised because in hf and er4 series it was the worst sounding
Is there any way to get only the brown and the white ones for much cheaper?

yes! its the sell-them-and-get-the-er2XR mod

Any sound engineer will tell you that is more viable changing sound acoustically first, instead of digitally
Just got this kit today. Love it. I hope they come out with a better cable that add more to the sound.
I will exchange my xr2 for a sony 55ap that costs 30 bucks in dubai.
1. Dont buy the er2xr
2. Dont change your filters to different ohms
3. Dont buy etymotic filters
4. Buy knowles filters
What is the differences between Etymotic filters and Knowles filters?
The reason? 🤔
