@@ShooglyShedMotors I'm facing in to all that work now eh :D Don't think I'll strip the engine fully tho just the external bits. I was watching all the previous episodes on my tv so I don't comment cus....well I dont think you can. You're stuck with me now. :)
@@ShooglyShedMotors thanks! I feel I definitely need it. Happily no metal bouncing around like you had so it's just mostly cleaning :) Haha good stuff.
Great work mate, somehow you made that look relatively straight forward, but I'm sure it isn't ha ha!..really enjoying the videos Euan, keep them coming kidda, atb Mark
It's a shame that the primary drive gear is not straight cut. But at least the balance weight is gear-driven. Not chain. I half expected to see a roller-bearing crank. Interesting video. Cheers. From Dumfries.
its a good job. look very nice. for what is big screw on top frame clutch, see on 6 minute? its a vertical screw, a large screw threaded into the motor housing. thanks
Thank you! It's a "detent plunger" it helps the gear box find "neutral" gear, when the bike is in "neutral" the plunger presses against the selector drum and keeps it between 1st and 2nd gear. I hope that makes sense!
Have a question as per the bottom crank case does everything need to come out in order to change it? I bought a 95 for spare parts on my 07 model but I wanted to restore most of the 95. I was told kid hit a rock which busted the bottom case and I removed the clutch and found a bit more pieces than the story told (one piece looks like the u shape where the cam sits) which means it’d be best to look over everything anyways but hopefully it’s not that serious and hopefully I don’t have to play operation lol
Hey - sorry for the delay! Hmm... bits of random metal in the bottom of the engine spells trouble ahead!! The bottom half of the crank case lifts off when you have the engine upside down. However, you'd want to swap the bearing shells etc over. And it's a lot of work to strip down that far so you may as well do everything while you're there!! Probably not what you wanted to hear 😩
That engine looks absolutely beautiful now man.
Thank you! Certainly took a lot of hard work to get there...

Finally going back together.

It is surprisingly straight forward! Just do what Haynes tells you 😂
Great video man.
Is this the case of splitting the end bottom to replace the output shaft/gearbox?

Awesome when it all falls into place, you are doing an awesome job, and your editing is spot on point! :-)

Thanks for the helpful video
Killer vid, I referenced this while replacing my output shaft
The front balance shaft with lateral (side to side) little moviment em tik Tok noise, can I use washer to Full the side (lateral)Gap?
I would have thought that may introduce other issues. But someone more qualified than me may be able to help!
Just as I was about to switch off for the evening...Nice one mate, good progress & it'slooking great. 😉🏴🤘👍
Great video but would have been awesome if u named the main parts as u did it
Is there an order to tight each bolt on lower case
Yes there is. The numbers are printed on the casing casting 👍🏻
@@ShooglyShedMotors is there a manual or should i just follow the numbers ?
@@ShooglyShedMotors What is the torque for each bolt ?
@@DIABOLOALDEBARAN I can't remember but the service manual states them.
