In this video, I'm sharing with you what I learned from doing the 6-week pantry challenge. This challenge was designed to help us grocery shop and cook from scratch, and I found that it was a great way to learn about healthy eating and cooking habits.
After completing the pantry challenge, I have some great thoughts about how to grocery shop and cook. If you're looking for a way to learn about healthy eating and cooking, the pantry challenge is a great way to start!

Thank you to everyone who has tagged along for this pantry challenge! I am looking forward to our What's For Dinner and upcoming gardening videos! 😀
I enjoyed the recap and look into the frig and freezer. I have not seen many people do that.
Thank you so much! It was fun to be able to show!
Watching you guys do this pantry challenging is interesting & very informative.
That makes me so happy to hear! Thank you! 😊
That's so nice you had all the freezer meals you worked hard on, and were able to rely on those when you weren't feeling well!! What a blessing to have chickens and your own eggs!!
Thank you! It was seriously such a blessing and such a great moment to appreciate the hard work paying off to feed us well 😊
Thank you for sharing. Blessings
Thanks for watching!
Great work. For my family, low spend has been very helpful and easier on my mind than no spend which I did last year. I spent $67 this month for 6 of us and don't plan to shop again til March. Trying to stick with $150/month for a year. (Started in Dec and doing well)
That’s amazing!! Great job, I love that you are doing it for what works best for your family and in these uncertain times, so smart 😊
Instead of yeast think of making a sourdough starter. It takes a little longer to bake with it but you will always have it around.
We did a lot of sourdough in 2020 and loved it just haven’t gotten back into it, thanks for the reminder! 😊
I always have soups in the freezer, Frozen fruits.
So smart! Those are the best! 😊
Sure enjoyed your videos through this challenge and glad you were happy with the results. Hope you do it again and, of course, now I want to see your other series.I learned a lot from getting through covid restrictions and limitations. I bought way to much flour and sugar and stored tomato sauce so I learned about our habits - we don't eat properly!!!! I got healthy things stored but didn't cook as much as just settle for cold cereal or same old, same old. Startling to find out how I really operate. Not good and I hope I make lots of changes due to this new knowledge. I'm especially happy your all are feeling better.
Thank you so much, that means so much to us! That is amazing you were able to learn your habits so you can make small changes here and there 😊
Nothing wrong with cereal for dinner every now and again we are total suckers for cereal we can’t keep it in the house 😂
Thank you so much for doing this challenge and inspiring us all! And I don't blame you for going 6 weeks to keep that inventory up, super smart if you ask me. 😋
Thank you so much for following along on this challenge with us 😊
I enjoy all your videos thank you
So nice of you, thank you!
Sounds like everything worked out really well! You are bound to run out of things but it sure sounds like the freezer meals paid off on those not feeling so good days!👍👍👍🥰
Oh my goodness yes! It was an absolute blessing! Hope you are doing well!
Garden season is going to be here sooner then we think lol.
So true! I am beyond excited and am sure you are too! 😊
You guys did so well! I love how you talked about stopping before completing eating through everything because I’ve wondered about that with this pantry challenge.
Just out of curiosity, does arrow eat a raw (or homemade) diet?
Thank you so much! Arrow eats a raw diet for the most part consisting of meat we get from our rancher friends. We add in eggs (when the chickens are laying tons) and sometimes carbs like rice or sweet potato (both cooked) but we only buy about 3 bags of dog food a year and really try and keep him on a raw diet his belly seems to do better that way!
@@TheWyomingHomestead I love that! I feed my 4 dogs and cat a raw diet but I really want to start hunting so they can have a better source of meat.
Thankyou for sharing
My pleasure 😊
