Brazil has 17 cities with metro systems. In São Paulo, there are 420 km of lines (METRO-RAIL) that are all interconnected among trains, subways, and monorails. It is the largest metro-rail network in Latin America in a single city, and its pace of expansion is very significant; it is expected that by 2040, São Paulo will have 800 km of metro-rail network.

Although the underground lines have stalled and haven't reached even 100 km., many stations have been added to the already built lines as recently as 2019; the city and suburbs are also linked inside and outside the metropolitan area by four railway nodes serving all directions and connected to the underground ones in its totality. This commuter railway system is the second in extension in the Americas after New York City and runs for 259 km., effectively making up a big commuting network. The last isolated train line that remained, Belgrano Sur, has been linked by elevated rail to one of the nodes and is expected to enter service in 2025.

@@andrelima6458 The Chinese and American education system is the best in the world, according to its version. It does not allow students to delve deeply into what is written, but it teaches them to prove their greatness. Everyone already knows who the Smartest and Greatest in the World are, so there is no need to discuss it. Russia is a very modest and shy country. Therefore, natural modesty prevents Russians from advertising themselves. So...
*Question:* Which country is located between Norway and Korea?
      About Russian Culture and Education:
The education system of Russia is based on the Russian national culture, with influences from Europe/Asia: Russia, Germany, Poland, Italy, France, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Turkey, Persia (Iran), India, and China. The rich Russian culture is the best school (basic) education system in the world: Russian classical music, Russian classical literature, classical poetry, architecture, art, choreography (science, philosophy, economics, trade), etc. The Russian educational system was founded with the help of the Russian Cultural Renaissance of the 19th century, when Europe was experiencing a cultural decline but Russia had geniuses like Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Glinka, Tolstoy, Pushkin, Lermontov, Chekhov, Dostoevsky, and Aivazovsky. They raised Russian culture to unattainable heights.

_Having delayed the enemy and thus ensured the success of the retreat of the main forces of the Russian army, the detachment hastily retreated into the darkness after the end of the battle. During the retreat, the Russians repelled the last French attack. Despite the fact that the wounded were ordered to stay, many of them trailed behind the troops and asked for permission to lie down on the guns. Among them was a young Hussar, who, supporting his arm with his other hand, approached Captain Tushin and asked permission to sit on the cannon. "Captain," he said hesitantly, "I have a concussion. I can't walk anymore. Please let me sit down." It was Rostov, he was trembling with fever.. He was placed on the cannon from which the dead officer had just been thrown. There was blood on the officer's tunic, it stained Rostov's trousers and uniform. His injured arm hurt terribly, and snow began to fall from the dark sky. Rostov fell asleep for a minute, but during this short period of sleep he saw his house, a fluffy fur coat, a fast sleigh and felt the love and care of his family. - Why did I come here? He thought about it. Rostov was twenty years old, and this was his first fight._

Most Russians live in the European part of Russia (>70%). About 77% of them are ethnic Russians, and over 60 million people live in the Volga river basin area, which includes Finno-Ugric peoples (Finns, Estonians), Baltic people (Lithuanians), Slavic peoples (Russians, Ukrainians, Poles, Belarusians), Iranian peoples (Persians and Caucasians), Turkic peoples (Ottomans: most are Balkan and Greek, Golden Horde: most are Tatars and Chuvash), and Germanic peoples (Volga Germanic: mostly Mennonites from Germany, Holland, Austria, etc.). Nowadays, it is very mixed and Russified. The ancient migrations were from the North - Baltic - Volga to the South - Caspian Sea - Volga, East - Steppe, West - Central and South Europe. The dominant anthropological phenotype is depigmented Volgids.
The Volga is the biggest river in Europe and it splits Europe's part of Russia down the middle. On average, it's about two kilometers wide, but near Togliatti it's five kilometers. If you swim downstream from Toliatti, it will be twenty kilometers - like a main transport artery for Eastern Europe! The Moscow region is also part of the Volga basin.

Russia is the only country in the world where the number of people with light eyes and blonde hair is increasing due to a reverse drift of recessive genes.
The body adapts to extremely low temperatures by changing the shape of the bones of the face to reduce heat transfer from the face (the face becomes streamlined, like a wind tunnel). Cheekbones become larger and higher, maxillary sinuses increase, reducing the bones around the eyes (sub-Asian eyes), chin becomes more pointed, shape of nose and jaw change. Ears are also modified to protect against frostbite and sometimes earlobes merge with cheeks. Skin (eyes and hair) loses pigment, skin of face becomes "velvety", protective fat layer. Rudimentary epicanthuses (or sub-Asian eyes) in primary school children disappear completely when they reach adulthood.
50% of the world's most fertile soils (black soils) are located in Russia. 75% of Russia's population lives on the most fertile soil in the world (black soil) - this is the highest percentage in the world.

    - Sydney (the picture was hilariously something else entirely) listed as 55km - actual length of system 369km
I would imagine that each and every listing is massively wrong.

@@santhoshv3028 LRT, MRT, and commuter lines can all be considered part of a city's "metro" or urban transit system, but they each play different roles and have specific characteristics within that network.
Here’s how they fit into the broader metro context:
      1. MRT (Mass Rapid Transit):
      - MRT is the closest to what we traditionally think of as a "metro" because it typically operates on high-capacity, dedicated tracks, often underground or elevated. It's designed to transport large numbers of passengers quickly and frequently within urban centers, so it’s often the backbone of a city's metro system.
      2. LRT (Light Rail Transit):
      - LRT can also be part of a metro system but generally serves lower-capacity routes and may operate at street level or in less dense urban areas. LRT systems are often used to supplement MRT or other heavy-rail systems, linking neighborhoods or acting as feeder lines to high-capacity transit hubs.
      3. Commuter Line:
      - Commuter lines can be part of the metro network, especially in larger metropolitan areas, but they primarily serve people traveling from suburban areas to the city center over longer distances. Commuter lines usually have fewer stops, longer distances between stations, and run less frequently compared to MRT or LRT.
      In Summary:
      - Metro systems generally refer to all urban rail systems that facilitate public transportation within or around a city.
      - MRT and LRT are considered metro systems and typically serve the urban core or close-in suburbs.
      - Commuter lines are on the periphery of the metro system, linking suburbs to the city but can still be part of a metropolitan transit network.
So, while not all metro systems are identical in design or purpose, they collectively contribute to a city’s comprehensive urban transit framework.
