Marchant dans les pas d’Hania Rani, l’instrumentiste polonaise Dobrawa Czocher envoûte par sa musique néoclassique. Impossible pour les Europavox Sessions de résister.
Certains sons suscitent des émotions, créent des atmosphères ou vous transportent dans une autre réalité. D’autres bâtissent un pont entre deux mondes, comme un lien entre le réel et l’imaginaire.
Le violoncelle a les capacités de produire de tels sons, et Dobrawa Czocher est une prodige de cet instrument. Dobrawa a commencé son éducation musicale à l’âge de 7 ans avant de suivre son propre chemin, qu’elle poursuit encore à ce jour. Entre-temps, elle a été diplômée de l’Université de musique F. Chopin de Varsovie et de la Hochschule für Musik de Detmold. Par la suite, elle a fait partie de la Junge Deutsche Philharmonie.
Aujourd’hui, Dobrawa Czocher est violoncelle solo à la Neue Philharmonie Berlin et soliste à la Philharmonie de Szczecin. Un parcours impressionnant étant donné son âge, la poussant également à toujours relever de nouveaux défis.

I bought her first album with Hania Rani ... that combination of world class skills pushed forward the possibilities of piano and 'cello re-imagined in a modern context with beautiful synergy. Hania has developed from there as a solo artist performing on multiple keyboards and with other musicians ... now I'm so glad to see Dobrawa spinning out in the same way ... both pioneering a new paradigm of solo artists showcasing 'classical' instruments as we might never have believed possible! ... Yes, YES!l I've seen her as a special guest at the Portico Quartet when they played in Katowice, that's when I heard this for the first time. Unbelievable talent, fine music right from the first tune

I saw Dobrawa perform live in Warsaw earlier this year, and she was wonderful. Love her music. I do think the cello is an underused instrument, but she is bringing it back into the light.

I love the layering and looping. She's not afraid to experiment with her cello. It's a good way to pair a classical instrument with modern music tech.
