I didn’t appreciate the Kukri until I unboxed it. The pullout animations feel really clean imo. I’ve been enjoying it more than my Skeleton. Hitting a one deag or awp shot and quick switching is clean..
Guys, kukri has 2 pullout animations and that unique sound when you catch the knife when pulling out. You did not mention that. About pullout animations 1 spins the knife in the air and 2 makes a flip.
I love the Shadow Daggers but the lack of dedicated backstab animations really hurts them in my opinion, it could have easily been an uppercut for Left click backstab and a double stab and twist for Right click backstab and it would easily manage A tier like that, maybe even low S tier considering they also have almost fully unique audio, aside from attack sfx

Lowkey was expecting, falchion stilletto and Skeleton in S tier. but just depends on the scale. I used to never like skeleton knives, I have one now. The fact that the pullout animation is so rare, makes it that much more special. Previous to my skeleton i had a flachion ruby, and the special inspect was not even cool to see anymore cus of how common it is.

We need to push for Valve to let us choose the draw animation of the knife. I for one can't use a knife that has a random draw animation. Can't stand the feeling of not knowing what I'm about to get. I want predictability. Hopefully one day they will let us choose the animation.
Solid rating guys. I have just one thing, which I would personally change. The fact that Skeleton Knife has the most rarest 2nd animations in the game with very lackluster pullout animation would put it in the B tier. Maybe swap it with the Stiletto. IMO this pullout one is the worst in game.
I went from a Stiletto Stained to a Falchion Tiger tooth. Im not Sad at all! Both are in my top 5 knifes. Great list bro, cool to see another person too. The backstab catch of the Falchion is probably my favorite single annimation. If your curious my top 5 are such, no set-in-stone order. Talon, Skeleton, Stiletto, Falchion, Butterfly. Butterfly last because its too expensive. ursus is super close.
M9 in F-tier is pretty criminal. I get it has some pretty standard animations but it wouldn't be the 2nd/3rd most expensive knife-set in the game if it deserved F-tier.
We exclusively ranked animations without the knife itself, the M9 is Moody's favorite knife and #3 for me, and we both rated it S tier in our knife tier list. Its only F tier here because there is nothing special going on and it's bugged on the inspect, otherwise it's a phenomenal knife.

We did actually rate some things on sound like the navaja and the stiletto, but I will say bowie and plugs have great sound design for their knife styles, It just wasn't enough to make a huge difference in the ranking👍
For me personally the sound design has a greater impact on the overall rating of the animation but i guess that is very subjective. Thx for clarifying 🙌
Bowie in B is blasphemy, it's the complete package. Unique left and right click attack, unique inspect, unique pullout, unique sound.. and it's freaking cheap. What more do you want 😭
Bro you didnt even show the rare inspect for the paracord. It’s a flip that you can hold down infinitely just like the nomad. Nomad flip is a little cleaner because it’s slower, but still.
I think the old knives not having extra animations could be considered a good thing because imagine if M9 Bayonet or Bayonet had the Ursus default animation and only 20% chance to hit their actual one 😅 like yeah you have two pullout animations but at what cost? If they give a knife an extra animation then I think both should be somewhat good (like Butterfly or new Kukri), not feel like you just have default and then a tiny chance to hit the good one like it is with Paracord, Skeleton, Survival... just my opinion
Very valid, I think it has to be a good balance with rare animations, where good rare animations (ursus toss) happen pretty frequently, but amazing rare animations (skeleton twirl) happens rarely. I do think having a bigger animation variety does merit putting a knife higher than those that only have defaults tho🙌
I agree plus it looks so good idle. I was really close to getting an M9 but went for a butterfly instead because theres just way more animations for the same price. Id still say the m9 is tied for my favorite knife with the butterfly though.
sometimes my talon animations are speeding up like 1.5 or 2x speed, not sure is it a bug or not, but its cool asf to me. also, like a karambit, talon has a nice m1 backstab animation
not a big fan of the newer knife animations, the animations are very rigid on the skeleton, survival, paracord. lack the smoothness of the first few sets of knives.
People love Flip knife because of KennyS.😂 After a quick awp he withdrew the knife and the withdraw animation of flipknife is quick and smooth- feel like smooth Criminal 😂. That’s why people love Flip knife- people love KennyS
Not gonna lie this tierlist is all over the place in my opinion. The whole A category is almost fully wrong for me. I think you don't wheight in the pullout animations nearly enough since they are the ones you will see 90% of the time. The skeleton for example has great rare animations and default inspect but the regular pullout animation is the single worst out of any knife, the exact same goes for the falchion. Ursus pullout is not as bad but still mid. Nomad i agree. Bayonet should at least be A tier because it has the single best pullout animation. Stiletto and Karambit are the best all rounder imo. Rest is ok kinda
Valid points for sure, we approached this ranking making sure that 1 subjective thing (for example bayo pullout) doesn't place a knife very high up on its own, the entire animation kit needs to be good for the ranking to be high.

Paracord knife has literally nothing going for it, and has a better rating than m9, bayonet, gut knife, classic and karambit? Makes no sense to me. Same case for survival knife. No variable animations and gets rated above classic, karambit, bayonet and m9. 22:28 talking about animation jankiness, while S tier butterfly in my honest opinion also looks janky when spamming animations.
I hate the sound of the stiletto when you flip it. Used to have one but i got so annoyed by the dinky sound of it, no matter how authentic it is. Paracord better than stiletto imo for animations
Considering The karambit doesn’t have a single rare animation, we ranked it very high because of the smooth animation combos, and for talon if the animations chained better together it would also be A.

I think Kukri belongs above C tier, at least B. You can F+R spam the inspect, you can spam change hand to look like a juggler, there's a lot possible.

I also would incorporate sounds into a knife animation tierlist. The buttplugs and bowie got some awsome sounds to accompany the animations

M9 has one of the cleanest pull out animations, would put it alone for that on a/b tier atleast.
