Thanks for sharing. The 2500t is the best trim saw I've used in 18 years of climbing. A Stihl 200t or Husky 540t will easily cut much faster, but I don't care about cutting cookies. The weight and handling of this little Echo far outperforms the competition for half the price.

When factoring in the cost of batteries for a day of work, the 2500t is significantly more expensive than the Stihl MS 201.The Echo 2511 has similar weight, lower cost, and fewer battery and heating issues.

@@gus7130 I do prefer the 2511 for freezing temperatures or when most cuts are 6"-12". The performance of the 2500 is best in smaller wood, which is why it is my favorite trim saw.
The best deal I got for the battery is getting the blower. The battery by itself was $150, but the blower with the same battery and a charger was $200. The Stihl 201 is over $800, so I'm not sure how that compares.

Yeah, in Italy, Stihl chainsaws are cheaper, but Echo ones are way pricier.

@@gus7130 I understand. The price has to match the value for the purchase to make sense.

Looks like that would've been great for some of the tree jobs I got into a year ago. Unfortunately I won't be doing anything like that again

@Shane W well I didn't have a choice. I ran into some health issues a blew out my back. I loved that kind of work and made great money doing it

Nice! I bet it would cut a lot more 2 to 4 inch branches in a tree climb.

Milwaukee m18 coming out with 14 inch top handle chaimsaw. I love Echo products bht thats way overpriced. Can buy the Echo CS-590 for less lol

A 590…? Good luck climbing with that one! Completely different saws, built/designed for different purposes. Seeing the DCS-2500T is ~$570 here in the states for the saw, battery, and charger, and the comparable setups from Stihl or Husqvarna are $1000+…I’d say this saw is a bargain!
