i dont heal that often im more of a tank main but i love disc. i always liked the damage healers in other games gonna be trying out mistweaver too for some the melee gameplay and see how i like it. Your videos are always very good i've watched them as a tank too cause i like knowing what healers can do to play around.
I find it hilarious that youve made a Priest most fun video - I main Hpal and pretty maxed im 2920 RaiderIO and so taking a step back on my gameplay. Switched over to Holy Priest and been having fun with the play style. Having a bunch of Holy Words up has gotten my parties out of a lot of trouble in tight situations. Not to mention the damage has been insane with all that you mentioned and Holy Nova is just cheat mode. Fun Alt but Hpal is my home :)

I've been playing Disc priest only this season.
Usually I play several healing alts but I got really stuck with the disc, way way to fun to play!
Currently 3165 on my disc priest timed a few 25s. I’m starting to not enjoy it as the keys get higher to be honest… you feel pretty useless outside of Mindbender windows and if you have no radiance casts banked.
I’ve been playing my Mistweaver doing 24s last week and it just feels like you’ve got a lot more consistent throughput outside of cooldowns but that you also have cooldowns for most situations.
Sure, Pain Supp is great but Rapture feels weak, Barrier is hard to use if people aren’t stacked - you end up living or dying (literally) by Mindbender.
This, outside of mindbender… ugh.
I main holy but it’s just got too many gaps that developers refuse to address. Mana, survivability, feels really weak outside of serenity procs, I feel like I never get free procs or don’t have the when I need them, idk, I just want to heal. It’s so gimmicky now. I opted for resto Druid, much happier now. I hope priest gets better.
yeah, disc may be 'Meta' but your group needs to know how and be willing to play around it at high keys or else its just not going to work. if your pugging, the stress level can be infinite.
I love the playstyle, but it's such a pain in the ass in pugs. Some people just don't interrupt, use stops, or use defensives. Nothing I can do if you decide not to interrupt any Infected Thorns when there are 3 witches. Someone is gonna die. I don't have the dispells or externals. If I spot heal, I'm not using Smite and my Mindbender isn't coming back. Same thing for the Leeches in DoTI, witch packs before Lord/Lady Waycrest. Crushing Depths is impossible without people using defensives, pots, or self-healing. I may pick up resto druid or MW and see how it goes.
This is a crazy idea but I wish they would make Discipline a augmentation evoker style DPS spec and then introduce a new healing spec that's all about bubbles like the oooold lich king disc priest
Would definitely make it meta if the bottleneck is survivability, since absorb shields increases your effective hp.
Maybe they should play like what you said, where the shield would slowly leech into healing the target. A max shield amount would then be added.

What makes you enjoy holy more? I started holy and dabble in disc and felt like I enjoyed disc more lol but maybe I haven't learned enough of the holy style
@tman41291 honestly I just love instacasting fat heals. Keeping people full is nice and it's for me less stressful healing and not having to worry about cool down windows on disc. (I'm also a casual player and don't go past a +20)

I definitely like the way Holy Priest plays and don't want it to change. It needs a few things, like Prayer of Healing and Divine Hymn need a "increased by X% when not in a raid" buff, and we need the equivalent of a DR (Ray of Hope).As far as boredom goes... I think if they could make Symbol Great Again (in Dungeons), and maybe give us a "battle hymn", that'd give us something else to do and bring in that support element that was there when we had Night Fae (without being uber clunky). Right now it starts to feel like there's not much I can do to help people. Still love the spec, just would like them to look at a few of our talents (RestitutionMiracle Worker)... but not "rework."
As a regular player, fun is key, obviously I want to be able to heal the keys I’m doing but as they can all do 20s I’ve realised you can pick whatever. I’ve been playing pres, nozdormu's teachings build and it’s so fun, you fire breath constantly, your spells are up so much more often and tbh the 30% echo’s felt too weak to me.
This guy is the real player. Home cooked spec for his own fun. I play to top 1% usually but I’ve started doing this for alts. I’ll try out nozy teachings next time I’m on my dragon.
I gave it a solid try, I just can't do it (4th healer to 3k+). Wheelchair mobility and substantially less utility than other healers. I can see the light shine through on the class if you're playing with studs and just along for the ride. Pugs are a stress-fest.
For pugs i always swap to holy. Way more forgiving
I played Disc in s1 and s2 in keys but haven’t really been feeling it this season now it’s meta. So I’ve been playing holy. With the combination of the seedling trinket from Raid you’ve got a really strong aoe burst heal so that group damage isn’t as harmful but it’s been really fun to play, reminds me of old school holy paladin with your Flash of Light/holy light spam, super nostalgic
Is you want to have fun, there are better choices than Holy pala imo.
i like the holy priest gameplay...been thinking of coming back to the game....but it looks like holypriest is the weakest healer ever....which is weird because 2 years ago...that was the same thing..
I also dont understand why disc with shields and doing dmg can outheal a holy priest....its just totaly against the lore...
If you dont want to get flamed in the raid..might aswell delete that class totaly..and only allow to spec into disc.
How do you put an icon, real symbol on the hp bar or tank or dps symbol because all the videos I looked at didn't show it?
