Ok that Nun animatronic totally got me. I actually screamed. LOL! And I want that little button-eyed Krampus! And they had Sam from Trick R Treat too! Too cute.
My wife and I were in Salem last week and I convinced her to do the international monster museum. I thought it was hilarious, but she hates anything with jump scares so was practically running to get through it! I love Salem!!
THE WHITISH LOOKING CREATURE W THE RED BANDANA LOOKING THING ON ITS HEAD IS ONE OF THE CREATURES FROM THE DARK CRYSTAL... AND YES THE ONE VAMPIRE WAS THE HEAD OF THE BROTHER FROM LOST BOOYS THAT HANGS OUT W THE WRONG CROWD AND TURNS INTO A VAMPIRE! LOVE THAT MOVIE!!
At the end of the museum where you were looking the ghost bride they were playing the theme from Dark Shadows 🦇 The stuffed animal with the lion and goat head with the snake tail is a chimera I believe.
Carpetbagger I’ve been binging your stuff for the past couple of days while being sick, and I have to say you’ve been a great escape from an otherwise bummer situation. Thanks so much for traveling all over and making these!
I concur! Usually I avoid haunted houses because I'm sensitive to loud noises, but I might make an exception for this one. I loved learning the difference between ghouls, revenants, and zombies :)
Ah yes, I heard of you like a lot! And at 18:54 , you might recognize these plushies here: like The Cthulhu, The Hellhound, Cerebrus, Chimera and The Hydra (from Greek Mythology)
The vampire bust at the beginning is indeed from The Lost Boys. It's the main protag Michael after his transformation. I used to watch this movie all the time when I was a kid, so much I can probably pinpoint the exact moment he makes this expression. lol
Fun Fact! The bridge from The Moth Man movie was filmed in my childhood home town. Not at all West Virginia. It was filmed in the tiny town of Kittanning, Pennsylvania and I even had a 4th grade teacher who was an extra in the movie. She was in one of the cars on the bridge. The bridge is still standing and used for every day traffic.
That vampire wax figure is from the film: The Lost Boys. I’ve watched that film last year or two years ago and it was a really great film! It was directed by the guy who directed Batman: Forever and Batman & Robin, Joel Schumacher. Also, that creature with the redcap is called the redcap (or powrie) which is a type of malevolent, murderous goblin found in Border folklore. He is said to inhabit ruined castles along the Anglo-Scottish border, especially those that were the scenes of tyranny or wicked deeds and is known for soaking his cap in the blood of his victims. He is also known as Redcomb and Bloody Cap. I love wax museums that have personality and style to them! Thanks Jake! 🧛🏻🧛🏻
🧛🏻♂️,hi, yes absolutely spot on movie, LOST BOYS, Keifer Sutherland,Donald Sutherland son, who stars in it, and the Vampire wax head model was MICHAEL also in the movie, 🧛🏻♀️.
I haven't been to Salem in quite some time, but we have a trip planned in July. I saw Grimmlife Collective's video on this museum, and I'm glad to see your take on it. Can't wait to check it out ourselves.
This was an awesome museum. There were a few monsters I was not all that familiar with and interested in learning about. Both attractions were amazing in their own way. I really enjoyed going through those with you . Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
at the end of video, that plushie thing.. it's a lion head/body with a goat head mounted on his back and a snake as tail. This is a Chimera. :D. it is said that the lion can breath fire, the goat can use ice magic and the snake tail can use lighting electricity magic. happy birthday ! (i know i m late, but i wished it on the bunker before, soo i was early, and now i m late, but better late than never XD)
Definitely David vamped out in Lost Boys, one of the BEST 1980's vampire as well as Kiefer Sutherland movies!!! Excellent video, great content, and as usual your narration is fabulous!!!! Attaboy, Carpetbagger!!!
@@TheCarpetbagger somehow i did not know you replied :/ its a pleasure to get a response! Yeah im not sure about him being a monster per se, though a Crooked Man demon was in the film Conjuring 2, and The Crooked Man was a villain in the Telltale video game The Wolf Among Us that was an adaptation/prequel to the Fables graphic novel series. So i guess in a way, he has become a monster 😅 lol. I love your work, its fun as well as inspiring. Keep it up!
I so loved your introduction there Jacob....very cool. The Slenderman was my favorite in this video....loved the details in him. A fun video, thank you
Glad to see you in our neck of the woods! I assume you have some places that you're planning to visit, but if you are looking for some haunt recommendations, reach out.
Wow! Salem is a very spooky place. I’ve been with my family. They didn’t like what the Salem Witch Museum was about in the next exhibit. I think it was about witches and their religion. Anyway, that monster museum was cool. It wasn’t scary scary. It was just a spooky ambience. But that’s very interesting about the history of the monsters. I learned a lot. Well, thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
I’ve loved monsters since I was a kid and horror now as an adults I visited Salem once but needed to leave after a couple of hours because of the oppressive sense of evil that I felt there.
“Ghost beast right there” that exact anametronic looks exactly like one, either on the hay ride haunt where hanging pigs and stuff were and you rode on a trailer through the haunt. That orbit was during your trans world convention video. I forget...but that same one I swear was on either video, awesome none the less
Zombies were seen as early as the film White Zombie. But they are not flesh eaters they are brought back from the dead to serve someone. Romero make the reanimated radioactive corpses flesh eaters. Zombies has become a catch phrase for many things.
Yes, the Crooked Man is a Mother Goose nursery rhyme character. In terms of monsters though, he doesn't really exist - like Slender Man, which came about as the result of a photo competition on 4chan. Nothing whatsoever mysterious about it. I'm willing to bet that Crooked Man display didn't exist before one of the Conjuring movies presented an evil Crooked Man character.
Hey, great vid, especially your animated intro. By any chance, is the Alien monster represented?? The Alien and Creature from Black Lagoon have always been my faves.
Ok that Nun animatronic totally got me. I actually screamed. LOL! And I want that little button-eyed Krampus! And they had Sam from Trick R Treat too! Too cute.
A more calmer but spooktacular visiting both museum, & mansion.

The crooked man was the spookiest thing about The Conjuring 2. There are so many spelling mistakes on those signs, but the place is very, very cool.
The crooked man is an old nursery rhyme
That's really cool that they have an attraction like that right in a Mall. You don't see that very often.
you are right it is from the film lost boys

Having a Monster Museum and a Haunted House in Salem is a perfect way to bring in Tourists!!!
I can't believe anyone would thumbs down this clearly they must be jealous.
Maybe it's the ghoulish monster creatures...

Nice that they let you film inside
Yeppers, that was Jason Patrick's Michael from Lost Boys! ;)
The artwork in these haunts is phenomenal! Everything was really beautifully rendered, and it looks like so much fun. Thank you for sharing!!

The look of "Mr Hyde" is totally based on the vampire from 'London After Midnight'. It's so sad for us horror fans to be denied that film!
The vampire bust at the beginning is indeed from The Lost Boys. It's the main protag Michael after his transformation. I used to watch this movie all the time when I was a kid, so much I can probably pinpoint the exact moment he makes this expression. lol
I love your animated intro so much that I don't want spook season to end so you can have it all year!

Love the crooked man! Makes an appearance in one of the conjuring movies, He has his own movie too

The Crooked Man other than being a familiar nursery rhyme was used as a monster in The Conjuring universe with a pretty creepy get up
Hope you ate at the Village Tavern! Great food and drink.
Towards the end, the lion with the GOAT, not a dragon head, is the Chimera from Greek mythology.
Went there a couple months ago when it first opened thought it was really cool love just walking around Salem not during October tho
If I ever went to Salem I'd be bankrupt because I'd want to buy everything there. This is my sort of decor.
Yes and it's somewhat pricey in my opinion and I used to live there.
I wouldn't step foot in there without my Yrden sign equipped and boosted.
5:13 looks like the monster King Ramses from Courage the Cowardly Dog
You should go to fright manor in Southport Indiana
