This comedy doesn’t come from France, but it was created by men who wish they did… the Game Grumps.
This is amazing, it's not the same as just seeing it during the episodes. It like hanging out with friends and riffing on the same joke for hours until you are in that giggly ridiculous mood where nothing you say makes sense but it's still hilarious.
Watching this because i accidentally left an (ah, the french) in the essay i submitted today and didnt realize it til hours later. So im just gonna lay here. And bathe in my mistakes.

Apparently Orson Welles was not drunk in those outtakes but on a sleeping medication, according to the assistant director for the commercial. He was traveling from Vegas to LA and took a sleeping pill to sleep during the ride, but it only started working when he got to LA for the shoot. He also did not die of cirrhosis or anything directly alcohol related, but of a heart attack, likely due to his poor health due to obesity, while possible it was compounded by some alcohol consumption was more likely the result of his unhealthy diet and lack of physical activity.

The way Dan says "He's SO fucked up" gets me every time. Like, he's laughing, but there's a genuine note of sadness. Like part of him feels bad at laughing at Orson Welles in his twilight years, but like, he can't help but laugh anyway.

It's actually surprising how the Grumps never bring up the radio ad where Welles started arguing, getting pissed enough to change completely the text. That's where the "green pea-ness" bit came from.

Watching WAY too many videos of Rob Paulsen and Jim Cummings brought me here. I do like the original, but the re-inactment with Pinky and the Brain doing Peas is still my favorite. None of the kids back then got it, but Orson was such a dead ring for the voice inspiration, the writing crew and everyone couldn't help themselves.
There should be a sequel to this because they're still doing this gag!

My source is Someone On The Internet, but apparently the "drunk" Paul Masson thing happened because Orson was still under the influence of the sleeping pills he had taken for the flight to get there, unable to do the gig, and those takes were done as proof of that for the insurance company.
