Beta95x v2 FrSky XM+ Firmware Upgrade & First Impressions

- This is the Beta95X v2 that I cover in the video: bit.ly/33a5QH3 There is also a digital FPV version, which looks amazing but at this point in time I don't have a digital FPV setup.
Ever since I updated my Taranis to ACCST 2.0 I've run into so many problems with binding receivers with old firmware. Since the new radio module firmware is not backwards compatible with older RX firmware I've had to update all my receiver firmware. While this isn't a huge problem in most cases it was kind of a hassle with the BetaFPV 95x due to the small size.
I purchased it with the FrSky XM+ and upgraded the firmware to 2.1.0 from here:

I'm amazed by the performance of this little FPV drone so far. It's really fun to fly and handles well outdoors. Highly recommended!
You're lucky they used a connector on the Beta95X V2.
On my Beta85X V2, the receiver is soldered to the board.
So it would have been easier to just order it separately.. :)
hey man can you help me with a bind issue ?
its a betafpv 95x V3 and a betafpv radiolite 2, both has Frsky , I put the radio in D16 protocol, and the drone jas Frsky receiver , but its not binding, can you advise what may be the issue ?
Hi Dennis, i have also this beta95x whoop v2 frsky fcc and I received it last November and until now I have not flight it as I don’t have radio controller to bind it and I am new to this hobby, can you recommend me an radio controller that I can bind with this unit and honestly I am new and if okay a radio controller that don’t need update as it will complicated for me.. please suggest me a brand and model that I can order, thanks in advance
I saw that the available ones now have LBT and FFC. Is that different from XM+?
I have a eachine ER8 transmitter (frsky d8) is that compatible with frsky LBT or frsky FFC? Or are both non compatible?

i am running a very weird problem with my controller and my 95xv2 with xm+ i cannot arm the drone close to the controller like in your video, only will arm at a distance around 1 meter and half, is so frustrating cannot find info about this problem , not sure if is receiver or controller problem. If somebody know aobut this issue will be very appreciated your opinion
What version of betaflight does it run?
BTFL 3.5.7. This thing flies like a dream.
Dennis Baldwin i can’t get it to bind to my tx16s, when i plug in the battery while holding the button i see a solid red and green.
How can I tell what fw version my xm+ came with from betafpv? Great video
@@tRu028 AFAIK you can only re-flash it to be sure.
Do you remember what uart the vtx is on? And also is id tbs smartaudio?
