It's not about the event itself. Therapists don't help heal the traumatic event. They help heal the little things it did to you. Any therapist can hear Mark's story and know exactly what he needs to move forward.

It's weird to have a good superhero show in this era that isn't a deconstruction or a parody. The writing on this show is really top notch!
It's a very good adaptation of a _great_ comic series, with the active involvement of the original author and at least one producer (Rogen) who is a massive fan of the original (and took the opportunity to cast himself as a fan favourite character), so they're building on top of excellent foundations, and mainly just have to avoid messing up.
But takes tooooo much time to produce a season
right? ernest is the thing. like yes actually allowed to be adult real world with blood death and just life, but it actually turns into it on YES, and now lets get into it. its great.

I don't understand why the special has the best fight scene in the whole thing. S2 was a noticeable downgrade in animation quality and choreography compared to Eve's fight with her sibligns.

@@ondrej_hrdina It seemed to me that they had more time to polish the Atom Eve episode. Not sure If that was the case, but It definitely looks like it. Because IMO S2's animation is good, but there are some parts where the characters look off model, and I feel like they could have redrawn some stuff or maybe added more inbetweens.
The violent shaking and eye opening when Nat just hears Nolan's(JK simmons') voice is such a visceral reaction that i too experienced 😂
His voice is so powerful and recognisable that the show writers knew you didnt even have to see omni man to experience those emotions

Honestly, I like the comic version of the events underwater better. The whole marriage thing was still a thing, and had a big cultural significance. Years ago, the first ruler of the country was on a date with a noble woman who wasn't super interested-probably an arranged marriage thing-when they were attacked by a giant monster. The first king guy instantly went to fight it off to protect her, and that selfless act really touched her heart. They eventually did get married, and that became the basis of courtship in the country. The men have to prove their worth by fighting one of those monsters. I like the story and how it impacted the culture of the country. As for Mark, he really didn't want to marry the Queen, and he found out that one of her guards or the concierge-someone liked that-loved her but he respected the culture and customs so he wasn't trying to pursue her. Mark came up with a plan that would get him out of marrying her, let the guy have his chance, and fulfill the customs and laws of Atlantis. When the time came for the fight he acted like a coward, and refused to fight the beast, letting the other guy take over the fight. And everyone was happy. The Queen was impressed by the bravery, Mark got the guy together with the person he loved-total wingman-and Mark didn't have to marry the fish lady.
I do like the joke about how they've done away with that barbaric practice, only to replace it Wit the equally barbaric fight to the death though.

(Currently watching her talk in the beginning) It’s reactions like these that really make me enjoy Natalie as a reactor because she’s actually honest about what she likes and doesn’t like about works that she reacts to; that’s not always how reactors are, they’ll sometimes pretend to like literally everything in order to not ruffle and feathers, but I appreciate the honesty. Man, this show is absolutely brilliant. The way season 2 both sets up aspects of a larger story while still having its focus directly on how the character's deal with the aftermath of season 1 is amazing.
There's a camp of people who only know little pieces of the future story through like... Tik Tok and stuff who only wanna see the big action set pieces but the story of Invincible is about the people in it. Crazy stuff happens to these people but the point isn't the crazy stuff but how those things affect the characters and that's what's so wonderful about both the comic and the show.
They never sacrifice the story just for spectacle.
Can't wait to see your reaction to the 2nd half of the season and I am beyond excited to see season 3 at some point.

Natalie you should consider reacting to Freaks and Geeks (1999) it’s hilarious. it only got one season but it’s a cult classic. It’s a heartfelt and comedic coming of age story. Pretty much every actor who starred in it are still in media today, James Franco, Linda Cardellini, Jason segel, Martin Starr, Seth Rogen, etc. I give it a 9/10

The white lion guy in the Coolition of Planets is not the same one as Battle Beast (aka Thokk) who almost killed Mark in season 1. That one is just part of the same race hence why he looks similar.

Very, very addictive game with a lot of lore and the best Avatar costume creator ever made. You could literally make any type of hero or villain you could dream of. I miss it. 😢
