  • Forty-seven spiders ate on camera this time. Others were in premolt, too fat to feed, or the attack wasn't visible.

Awesome feeding videos. I think I might change my sling enclosures and remove some of their substrate in order to catch them feeding on video. I have been having troubles with some of them as they like to burrow and I seen some of yours about the same age with very little substrate on the bottom so they couldn't tunnel and you had just a leaf in there as a hide. Thanks for the idea. I will be sure to mention you in the next feeding video if it works out. Cheers mate.

+WestCoastArachnids Thanks for all the nice comments you left today. Although I think they'd like to have more substrate, it does make it very difficult to film feedings. I still have to lure them out of their hides most of the time prior to dropping the feeder in there so they'll attack in the open. Good luck!

I will start with tarantulas soon [I hope :)] and your videos are so cool I love it, keep it up! I would like to start with Brachypalma smithi, bohmei and emilia and then get Gramostola rosea ;)

+Mikuláš “Krampus” Sivek The Brachypelma genus is a good one to start with. Look into the Aphonopelma genus too, particularly A. chalcodes. They're very long-lived and one of the most docile tarantulas you'll ever find.

I came here after checking on "Charlotte," the little T. you saved. It's a relief to see she fully recovered.
Am I correct in assuming you're keeping her?
