It can be very profitable especially if you're doing it full time and well. At my peak I was doing 6 figures a year with wedding photography alone. If you're able to break into the luxury market, and also hire a team of associates you can make multiple six figures. But it's not as easy as just "taking photos"

As a second photographer the main photographer lets me get some shots that will build me. I’m lucky also I get all the sunset photos.
