The Huusmot (double the price needs lightning to aux adapter) and the Alvoxcon USB (just slightly more money) that review should be live tomorrow. The Alvoxcon has better USB audio clarity, my friend is bringing his iPhone tomorrow for testing.

Think your is lightning charge port... Huusmot requires the iPhone adapter the included one could work but did not work with iPhone 12 pro max. The Alvoxcon has 2 versions USB C or iPhone I have the dual version I'm reviewing.

Nice, I have 2 mics that are coming that are similar to this. Reviewed so far are many of the cheap mics. I have the Huusmot (Rode look alike), the Comica BoomX-D2 is coming, I already own the wireless Go. In spring I plan to do a round up of what mac for what purpose... If what you have for battery life is true you'd be a guaranteed win for there with anything over 10 hours. I'm betting lowest NR is going to give the best dynamic range while the greatest NR is going to be make it great in windy and noise out door environments. Look forward to what the company brings out.
I am editing together the outside and noise rejection video right now. Sadly it is not really windy at the moment, hopefully I can get a nice breeze to add as I edit what I've recorded so far. I connected to PC for this video, iPhone quality is similar to PC while android is inconsistent. I have a pile of wireless mic systems coming in, 2 offered for testing both be reviewed in October. A dual lav system and another USB mic that is a step beyond this one reviewed here.

This mic seems to be produced under different names for several companies. The one I purchased identical to this one of your, even the packaging except the box colors. It was call Garmay and I purchased it off Amanzon. The mic didn't seem to ever pair with the receiver that goes into the phone. I worked with it for over an hour and had another person work with it but of no avail. I was trying to use it on my iPhone 12. the receiver seemed to connect to the phone, but no audio at all in the video or other apps on the phone.
And you charged both parts, the receiver and the transmitter? Yes it is sold under many brands, I am uncertain who the actual product producer actually is. Lewinner was going to offer to send me their unit for testing... BUT being in Canada and not the USA they couldn't send that unit which is branded Lewinner. I have a mic arriving they Lewinner is sending, and I already reviewed one from Lewinner. I gave it to someone that has an Iphone they told me they love it and it works great for the Zoom meetings they do.
I think you need to be very careful about which one you order. A type C connector one will not work for I phone and vice versa etc. I am actually looking for a 3.5mm jack version.
thanks for this review! it sounds awfully muffled when you clip it to your shirt, which makes it useless since that's the reason why people would buy it. in australia, i can only find generic brand ones. but im 100% sure that amazon brand ones are just dropshipped from aliexpress, with a logo slapped over it. those 'brands' never have a presence outside of amazon.
It should be rather good for iPhone. I have a new mic from LeWinner that is super cool multi connection type. I am going to try and upload that video in a day or 2. If you skip to the conclusion section of my Huusmot review (should be live in 3 hours) you'll see the 9 second clip of the special Lewinner multi connection version of this mic. The new Lewinner mic I tested on PC, Android, iPhone and camera (fully recorded as of today other than the conclusion but I have 2 UA-cam channels and 5 videos to edit).

Not so much, should be a mic with a fur muff. Take it this is for an Android usb C recording device? Better options would be the Synco G1TL but that might have a little much gain but has a volume level to lower and sound quality is totally superior. There are several options but am at work for the day. Click on channel name and videos ai review a lot of devices... The lower the volume level would be better for loud transportation.

Movo, comica, synco all have nice Android phone microphones. Biggest issues is that most android phones even pricy ones have inconvenient audio quality. For most phones the Shure MOTIV video APP solves this
Crunchy audio doesn't say much, best thing is almost to post a an audio sample online or post the sample on my discord channel. I also reviewed a mic like this for I phone here: ua-cam.com/video/o6idi3LQnuY/v-deo.html One thing that can happen is if the microphone is too loud it may clip the audio and not sound good.
Just brought one of these mics for my andriod and its very intermitant to if it pics up audio or not. Mic on no audio mic off and it work. Other than that its ok but i think not reliable for video recording
I do not recommend with Android which I mention in video#2 in discription. i don't have drop outs when close that could be your phone android version and android phone to phone is not consistent for audio quality. Good to know that issue exists... might be good to test on a different phone in case you have a faulty device.

I have 2 companies as of the last 3 days offering me audio products to review. Things are going to to get interesting if this keeps up. A dual wireless lav system for cheap and a mic from another company that may be great for game streaming without having a mic in your face
Never in my life have I ever heard of that phone. Generally the Shure Motiv Video APP solves most phones mic detection issues. If your phone is USB type C it should work.
The iPhone version is "fine" but not so much the USB version. If you click on my channel name I review a lot of mics... I should have another 4 mic reviews up within the next 2 weeks. Been working a lot of hours, and have mics just sitting on my table waiting for review that have not even been opened yet
The sponge tip is to prevent breathing puffs and plosives. Removing it didn't cause any issue for me at normal speaking distance if not breaking directly into the mic.

Have you tried the Motiv Video APP like I use for better sound? Android phones are bad for sound consistancy. Also check out my playlist "recommended" devices if you want to know options I'd recommend. Also feel free to ask question if you ever need advice :).
If we open our mobile camera after recording the trans meter on the mobile and record the video directly, will the sound come directly in it or should we add it in the editing after recording the sound alone?
@@justgalatta just leaving work, i am not a full time UA-camr, sorry. I am a Full time construction worker. This records audio directly to phone with the video. If you want to add the audio after you can connect this to USB on PC or you could use the phone mic / recorder app to only record audio. If your PC has only USB type A you can connect a type C to A USB adapter. Lewinner makes a 3 in 1 version of this device that connects to AUX, USB C, to phone Aux also and to iPhone. I reviewed it.
The only problem is unless you have a type C device, you're stuck, which means in order to use it, you will need to buy a brand new phone that supports USB type C, some of us are using micro-USB smartphones.
Type C to micro USB adapter. Done however i reviewed many better devices than this like the synco review. And so it is known I 100% paid for it seeking a good USB C audio device without paying over $100.
@@sparketech Even if I tried Female USB Type C to male Micro-USB I get nothing at all, it simply won't work. The Synco G1(A2) I haven't tried yet, I have seen a review, and it looks very promising but who knows. Until I try myself I can't tell. Very affordable Synco and the sound quality and range are just great for the price, good value for money. A few years back you could've bought something nowhere near as good as this for no less than $200.

Did you see if your video mode has a mic icon so you can select external mic? I always use my Shure Motiv Video APP for Android, it auto detects and also not alway USB C to micro are equal. I guarantee it would work if it had the correct pin out... Some are power only while others are data or both. No reason for it to not work otherwise
@@user-lo9si5dx8t forgot to let you know the issue you had. Your adapter was either "charging only" or your phone simply wasn't auto detecting it. For such issues simply use the Shure MOTIV Video APP
That phone has microUSB this is type C but "might"work with an adapter. The sound is rather robotic I reviewed far better mics for Android than this if you want "good" sound. for headphone connection I also reviewed many better options. Asus Zenfone 7 flip I think at this time... Many Android phones require you choose external speakers. Another option is to use the Shure Motiv video app which basically auto chooses the external mic.
Thanks, the Lewinner 3 in 1 was a fun upgraded version of this. Ordered a new USB mobile phone mic for testing... It looks like company sent out review products youtube video search shows 100% tested on iphone but this unit I ordered is double this ones price and has Type C USB. It'll be time to ruin their "great" online reviews or be the first to test with Android and find out if actually really good or not... Video out in February.
It was all automatically recognized. Sorry you got this unit, I didn't get into detail about specs because I hated the units sound quality or lack of so much. The Lewinner Bluetooth unit I reviewed on this channel was soooo much better but it does not play friendly with Android and it works better with Iphone or PC.
Some phones require you change you audio device and makes sure both device ends are charged up and the green light is lit on the connected device. I have several devices coming in during the coming weeks. Coming in is a USB A type and a multiple connection type dual lav that comes in single form factor as well but is larger and connects by AUX (headphone jack).
What operating system has the computer where you used it? I tried in a lenovo with CPU ryzen 3 - 2200U with USB TYPE-C in Windows 11 and it does not recognize it. It doesn't show even the hardware id in devices. it say unrecognized usb device. I am waiting from a local store an adapter USB TYPE-C female to micro USB to try it on my XIAOMI Redmi note 4X.
Windows 10, I have no intention to use Windows 11 anytime soon. Windows 11 is kind of buggy. I have an AMD Ryzen 5800X, 32gigs of 3600mhz ram, MSI B550I Gaming Edge motherboard... I have never purchased a laptop in my life.
@@sparketech I'll install Windows 10 pro 64 bits to the laptop. Also I ordered and a USB TYPE-C female to USB 3 A adapter to make any possible experiment to find a solution. I will try it meanwhile tomorrow with a mobile phone of a friend with Android. I hope it has usb type-c connector. If will not work on my Xiaomi mobile phone and in the computers I will ask refund from Banggood..

I have piles of new mics coming in but not many more cheaper ones for a bit other than the one I am reviewing this week. has no cables, each connection type is connected on each corner. I can't exactly send a picture on here, on discord I can. (no fee to join my channel just go to the video description). I've been adding more countries to my links... now have USA, Canada and UK.
USB / Charging Port: Type-C so yes. If you are looking for good audio as this is entry level robotic sounding a bit. Check out my review of Alvoxcon but that is an inside use mic or Huusmot is you don't mind spending double and that is an outside mic mostly. For lowest price this works. If you'd have a headphone jack the LeWinner 3 in 1 mic is a good option it has AUX 3.5mm, USB C and iPhone lightning all in one.
What you really need to try is the Synco G1TL, if you get a wired lav it can sound rather impressive. I am reviewing that device right now, purchased with my own income for my Android phone.

Thanks and there are many many better mics than this, this is actually the worst one so far I think. However there are rather affordable good devices like the Sync G1TL and for wired my new to me Snnheiser MKE600 isn't half bad. This mic and these other 2 I 100% paid for to personally review... And the Shure, the Rode NTG and more. For a wired mic the Fifine K658 I reviewed sounds like the the Shure MV7 for about 3 times less cost.

That sucks, however did you choose external audio device on your phone because some phones require you do that. Mind you, I really wouldn't recommend it sound quality wise for Android unless sound quality doesn't really matter a hole lot. The Synco mic one of my most recent reviews is rather great sound quality for the price, it does cost a bit more but it's so worth it.

Depends on which version of SE if lighting or actually type C USB. Tomorrow I am uploading an iPhone version that is cheaper and even better than this... Comes with headphones for monitoring audio and 3 sound modes. I also have links i believe in this video or part 2 to the same mic as this in iphone version but not as cheap as the one I am reviewing.
I test this more in video #2. Link in the discription, I was finding no matter the device my phone has lousy mic audio. I have the USB C version as well. Do you use it on your phone or PC or both? I gave my Samsung A70 to my sister, the Asus Zenfone Flip is just garbage audio... Iphone 7 and newer have good sound as well.
Send one over if you would like it reviewed ;). Cool that you offer 3 levels of noise reduction, it's about time someone does that. 30 hours run time?!!! seriously, that'd be awesome. If the sound quality is there and it doesn't cut out super easy like the Rode wireless Go mostly due to the battery life that could be a real interesting option.

It sounds like it has only 8 or 10 bit/32kHz resolution. Not great. Mic quality is ok.
Correct when using USB C the sound is just ok. 3.5mm jack sounds better and iPhone sounds best. Click on my channel name, go to video and check out the Synco in my reviews which has far better audio for a bit more money.

Best sound is with the iPhone version. If you are using Android phones I recommend a better audio quality option. Click on my channel name and check out the many different but more expensive options that at least don't sound somewhat robotic... My concern is if using for UA-cam I don't feel the USB C version is good enough.

On my channel click my place list recommended USB wireless mics if you want better audio; it'll cost a bit more. For USB wireless this is one of the cheapest options I've ever tried. For iPhone the same brand is a reasonable.

No I don't sorry, I'm concerned with the only 75dB signal to noise for something that pricy. I have yet to review or use any Boya products.
Movo, comica, synco all have nice Android phone microphones. Biggest issues is that most android phones even pricy ones have inconvenient audio quality. For most phones the Shure MOTIV video APP solves this

Crunchy audio doesn't say much, best thing is almost to post a an audio sample online or post the sample on my discord channel. I also reviewed a mic like this for I phone here:

One thing that can happen is if the microphone is too loud it may clip the audio and not sound good.
GoPro Hero 9 can be used
there is a slight buzz if you see this type of lav its the same just different brandings but the buzz is the dame
Just brought one of these mics for my andriod and its very intermitant to if it pics up audio or not. Mic on no audio mic off and it work. Other than that its ok but i think not reliable for video recording
I do not recommend with Android which I mention in video#2 in discription. i don't have drop outs when close that could be your phone android version and android phone to phone is not consistent for audio quality. Good to know that issue exists... might be good to test on a different phone in case you have a faulty device.
@@sparketech oh right i didnt watch that video yet. I have done a software update on my phone. Will do a few more checks, when it does work the audio is ok, i have a boya wireless mic to try aswell but its not like this one. Bigger reciever and transmitter boxes lol
@@ChazzCoombes i am trying a pile of different mics that work with phones in the next 30 days or so. Last one I tried just after this video was another one made for Iphone. Downloaded some 12 apps for Android till I found one that worked... It was a Lewinner branded mic.

Never in my life have I ever heard of that phone. Generally the Shure Motiv Video APP solves most phones mic detection issues. If your phone is USB type C it should work.

The iPhone version is "fine" but not so much the USB version. If you click on my channel name I review a lot of mics... I should have another 4 mic reviews up within the next 2 weeks. If the sponge tip removed, does it still work?
The sponge tip is to prevent breathing puffs and plosives. Removing it didn't cause any issue for me at normal speaking distance if not breaking directly into the mic.

This records audio directly to phone with the video. If you want to add the audio after you can connect this to USB on PC or you could use the phone mic / recorder app to only record audio. If your PC has only USB type A you can connect a type C to A USB adapter.
Lewinner makes a 3 in 1 version of this device that connects to AUX, USB C, to phone Aux also and to iPhone. I reviewed it.
The only problem is unless you have a type C device, you're stuck, which means in order to use it, you will need to buy a brand new phone that supports USB type C, some of us are using micro-USB smartphones.
Type C to micro USB adapter. Done however i reviewed many better devices than this like the synco review. And so it is known I 100% paid for it seeking a good USB C audio device without paying over $100.
@@sparketech Even if I tried Female USB Type C to male Micro-USB I get nothing at all, it simply won't work.
The Synco G1(A2) I haven't tried yet, I have seen a review, and it looks very promising but who knows. Until I try myself I can't tell.
Very affordable Synco and the sound quality and range are just great for the price, good value for money.
A few years back you could've bought something nowhere near as good as this for no less than $200.

Did you see if your video mode has a mic icon so you can select external mic? I always use my Shure Motiv Video APP for Android, it auto detects and also not alway USB C to micro are equal. I guarantee it would work if it had the correct pin out... Some are power only while others are data or both. No reason for it to not work otherwise

There is only mute but no noise reduction function on or off.

That phone has microUSB this is type C but "might"work with an adapter. The sound is rather robotic I reviewed far better mics for Android than this if you want "good" sound. for headphone connection I also reviewed many better options. Asus Zenfone 7 flip I think at this time... Many Android phones require you choose external speakers. Another option is to use the Shure Motiv video app which basically auto chooses the external mic.
At 3:49 on my phone I chose External mic on my phone.

Thanks, the Lewinner 3 in 1 was a fun upgraded version of this. Ordered a new USB mobile phone mic for testing... It looks like company sent out review products youtube video search shows 100% tested on iphone but this unit I ordered is double this ones price and has Type C USB. It'll be time to ruin their "great" online reviews or be the first to test with Android and find out if actually really good or not... Video out in February.

It was all automatically recognized. Sorry you got this unit, I didn't get into detail about specs because I hated the units sound quality or lack of so much. The Lewinner Bluetooth unit I reviewed on this channel was soooo much better but it does not play friendly with Android and it works better with Iphone or PC.
Some phones require you change you audio device and makes sure both device ends are charged up and the green light is lit on the connected device. I have several devices coming in during the coming weeks. Coming in is a USB A type and a multiple connection type dual lav that comes in single form factor as well but is larger and connects by AUX (headphone jack).
What operating system has the computer where you used it?
I tried in a lenovo with CPU ryzen 3 - 2200U with USB TYPE-C in Windows 11 and it does not recognize it. It doesn't show even the hardware id in devices. it say unrecognized usb device.
I am waiting from a local store an adapter USB TYPE-C female to micro USB to try it on my XIAOMI Redmi note 4X.
Windows 10, I have no intention to use Windows 11 anytime soon. Windows 11 is kind of buggy.
I have an AMD Ryzen 5800X, 32gigs of 3600mhz ram, MSI B550I Gaming Edge motherboard... I have never purchased a laptop in my life.

I have piles of new mics coming in but not many more cheaper ones for a bit other than the one I am reviewing this week. has no cables, each connection type is connected on each corner. I can't exactly send a picture on here, on discord I can. (no fee to join my channel just go to the video description). I've been adding more countries to my links... now have USA, Canada and UK.

USB / Charging Port: Type-C so yes. If you are looking for good audio as this is entry level robotic sounding a bit. Check out my review of Alvoxcon but that is an inside use mic or Huusmot is you don't mind spending double and that is an outside mic mostly. For lowest price this works. If you'd have a headphone jack the LeWinner 3 in 1 mic is a good option it has AUX 3.5mm, USB C and iPhone lightning all in one.

What you really need to try is the Synco G1TL, if you get a wired lav it can sound rather impressive. I am reviewing that device right now, purchased with my own income for my Android phone.

Thanks and there are many many better mics than this, this is actually the worst one so far I think. However there are rather affordable good devices like the Sync G1TL and for wired my new to me Snnheiser MKE600 isn't half bad. This mic and these other 2 I 100% paid for to personally review... And the Shure, the Rode NTG and more.
For a wired mic the Fifine K658 I reviewed sounds like the the Shure MV7 for about 3 times less cost.

How to connect this item to pc for screen recording?
USB C to the computer. The program has to be set to the correct input. OBS free software is what I use.

That sucks, however did you choose external audio device on your phone because some phones require you do that. Mind you, I really wouldn't recommend it sound quality wise for Android unless sound quality doesn't really matter a hole lot. The Synco mic one of my most recent reviews is rather great sound quality for the price, it does cost a bit more but it's so worth it.

Depends on which version of SE if lighting or actually type C USB. Tomorrow I am uploading an iPhone version that is cheaper and even better than this... Comes with headphones for monitoring audio and 3 sound modes.

I test this more in video #2. Link in the discription, I was finding no matter the device my phone has lousy mic audio. I have the USB C version as well. Do you use it on your phone or PC or both? I gave my Samsung A70 to my sister, the Asus Zenfone Flip is just garbage audio... Iphone 7 and newer have good sound as well.

If the sound quality is there and it doesn't cut out super easy like the Rode wireless Go mostly due to the battery life that could be a real interesting option.
It sounds like it has only 8 or 10 bit/32kHz resolution. Not great. Mic quality is ok.
Correct when using USB C the sound is just ok. 3.5mm jack sounds better and iPhone sounds best. Click on my channel name, go to video and check out the Synco in my reviews which has far better audio for a bit more money.

Best sound is with the iPhone version. If you are using Android phones I recommend a better audio quality option. In short, it’s bullshit mot worth it
On my channel click my place list recommended USB wireless mics if you want better audio; it'll cost a bit more. For USB wireless this is one of the cheapest options I've ever tried. For iPhone the same brand is a reasonable.
