Perugia really got it all. Solid passing, amazing blocking, near perfect attacking...I don't see them losing the championship. It's like they're all moving on one accord, beautiful to watch.
well ,the two first sets were impressive, the number of spikes from Perugia was devastating. Herrera Semeniuk Plotinsky bombing with inredible firepower. Very spectacular .Herrera really impressive for the violence of his spikes, and Flavio for his roof blocks
Perugia just showing no mercy in this match. Herrera just taking over the game for them. On a side note: seeing Ma’a play in the highest level of professional volleyball makes me wish that Christensen won’t retire from the US national team yet for at least 5 more years.
I really like this Perugia team. After several years of playing together, they have a very solid human core that newcomers have easily attached themselves to. They have built a lot together, emotionally and on other levels, I think, thanks to the warm and lively presence of the captain, Giannelli, who obviously has deep feelings for his teammates - an important factor for progress, I think, because it's wonderful that, in the place where you work hard, you are appreciated, respected, accepted. I think this is also the reason why we think Giannelli is the best setter of the moment: he is also a warm, serious, balanced man of great finesse. Unlike Christenson, for example, who has something of the tendency of many Americans to put on a show, to consider themselves somewhere, above the world, as if everything begins and ends with them... (I apologize to those Americans who are the exception. And there really are such exceptions on the USA Men's National Volleyball Team) And the experience of Perugia's new coach matters a lot.
You don’t know what you’re talking about. Christensen has been playing as good if not better than any setter in the world this year. He was phenomenal at VNL, Worlds, and Olympic qualifiers. And he sets a monster of Kezan team in maybe the toughest most competitive league in the world. He’s a great leader on court. Giannelli is a master setter but his leadership sometimes falls short under pressure. Italy crumbled at worlds and Olympic qualifiers while Perugia has had a tendency to fall apart in big matches that count. Hopefully they’ve fixed that this season. (Looks like they’re on their way).
@@lukasky03 I said something else entirely. I didn't dispute Christensen's setter value, technically speaking, at all. I said that I personally think his emphatic demeanor overshadows his worth.
@@tommi3761 Yes i confused myself lol. Italy played great last year. They’ve been off since then probably tired. Giannelli is great and one of my favorite players but the criticism of Micah is not merited given how well he has been playing this year. He led his club team to the championship.
@@zboruri.1113 different styles. He’s more demonstrative but Giannelli can get animated, too. I was hard on Micah in the past especially at the Olympics where I thought he didn’t play well and a poor leader. Yes he showboats sometimes but lots of players do the same to get the crowds hyped up. It’s good for the game.
nice, herrera vs sanchez in final. The 2 opposite of cuban national team facing each other; not sure if they are friends sanchez is a super vet but herrera’s upside is off the charts
Yes Michael Sanchez Bochuleva and Jesus Herrera Jaime, are friends, even if Michel Sanchez, belong to one older generation than Herrera, since he's from the Juantorena ,Leal and Simon generation, among others cubans playing around the globe.
how big of a difference the coach makes. with Anastasi the tactic for Perugia was to hit high, hit strong and score with every attack. Semeniuk was completely unsuited to this style, Plotnicki as well. And Leon doesn't have the stamina to play whole like that anymore. but now, with Lorenzetti, they started playing complete volleyball. if reception is not on point, push the ball on block, save in defense and repeat the attack. that's the Zaksa and Trentino play that dominated club volleball in last 2 seasons. if Perugia perfects it, with this roster of super athletic players (Ben Tara, Herrera, Leon, Semeniuk, Plotnicki) then they will win CEV Champions League hands down.
Halkbank passing really struggled in this match which costed them. Perugia is known to be a jack of all trades especially in serving and blocking. I wouldn’t be surprised if they win the championship again. Kudos for Halkbank regardless
Если перуджа такая сильная как вы говорите! Почему в лиге чемпионов поляки постоянно насилуют перуджу? Это не перуджа сильная, это халкбанк очень слабый
When you're playing against Perugia you need to put a lot of pressure with the service. Congrats Perugia, I feel like they 'struggled' more in the regular Italian Championship (Superlega) matches.
I was expecting Sada vs Perugia in the finals. But my hope for Suntory to a podium finish is still alive. The last time an Asian team went to podium was in 2010 courtesy of Paykan Tehran team.
Bene Perugia👏👏..bel torneo fin ora!
Ngapeth has lost his athleticism but still have lot of talent and experience but honestly in general Perugia is stronger than Halkbank .... Nimir(I love his talent) is a great player but in this life has lost all the inportant events and i start to think that is not a coincidence
Perugia is got the best of the best. Congrats! Excellent game. Side note: The narrator calling this (min 6:49) the play of the tournament is just a joke. This narrator is so biased.
Pena por ngapeth tremendo talento lo desperdicia por su irresponsabilidad ( vida personal) cuando está desmotivado y sin forma no da la talla pará estos partidos lo pondría en banca En su momento era imparable el mejor del mundo
Ngapeth goes to turkey for money but he want to remain in Italy but no team has done offers cause last year has played not really well and his salary is high.... now feels himself declassified and is quite clear he plays with lazy/angry attitude

Perugia is just too strong for the other teams. Herrera is playing better and better every time I see him, the guy has a great future in front of him.
