Unlike a lot of "Dark Academia" videos, this one has actual 19th-century sounding music, which I love. Thank you for compiling this! The rain in the background is perfect too.

The news of my parents death wasn't too surprising. But when I was told, I still slowed down, grew ever quieter, and sluggish. Everyone had been dying around me. Grandfather, aunts, uncles, granny, and now my parents.. only difference was they had died outside the mansion. Their ghosts wouldn't come to reside here like all the others. It was why I hadn't minded the others' deaths so much. I could still see them, talk to them. They just couldn't talk back. But now, as I found the sight of the crash, I looked all around. I thought, perhaps if I could find them, I could bring them back to the house. They'd stay with me. But they were nowhere to be found. Why did they leave me? Didn't they want to stay with me? I didn't understand. Thankfully, the mansion stayed in my possession through their wills, along with their money, so I was able to keep the mannor. The only catch was that I had to attend school at an academy. Once I graduated, the house and all my parents' wealth was mine. It was a very simple request really. But it meant I would have to leave the mansion each winter. I was not looking forward to that.
I listen to all these playlists right up till the moment when the voice starts saying "volution" or whatever that is, that's my cue to close the vid xD
17 years later the manor i once knew was gone. It sat abandoned. Torn. Overrun with the elements. No one was left. The sky was tainted grey. A fog set in as if the world was hiding its own sorrow. As i walked upon my memory. I felt its sadness. Its neglect. Its pain. The earth had taken over the courtyard. Eating at the very soul of the old manor. So many memories. So much of me was sadden. How a special place held so much meaning. So much emotion. A place filled with laughter. Joy. Happiness. Was all but gone. As i stood to look at it once more. My throat swelled up with emotion. Knowing for the last time my eyes would lay upon such a beautiful sight. Its tan brick walls. The white framed windows. The green shrubs laying upon its tops. People say buildings mean nothing. Yet they hold something special. As i turned my back. I dared not look back. With all my strength i walked. Walked away with my head down. Knowing i would never return. The people i knew. The life i once knew. Home was never just a building. It was a chest full of memories. The feelings. The familar scents. A place of feeling safe and secure from the world.
Beautiful writing, fits perfectly with this music in the background. Thank you for sharing, friend. :) Actually, you have encouraged/inspired me to pick up one of my favourite book (series) again, where the main character lives in a beautiful old mansion with her family.
Love this playlist, really helps to get me in the mood for studying. But why is there a weird whisper of 'Audio Jungle' that repeats every five seconds in the last five minutes? It's pretty distracting.
What's the song at @1:03:40? It's beautiful but it isn't Du Ring... It keeps saying Audio Jungle during the first bit of it. @Hexen, could you clue me in?

I learnt to tune pianos, so the Sull'aria piece drives me nuts. Want to come tune it for you Edit: Ok it's not the only piece like that. Sorry thumbs down.

I clicked one today and a Lana Del Rey song came on. I actually laughed out loud over it hahaha
@@razrv3lc oh lord 🤣 her music is moody but it ain't got "academia" vibes lol
I love this. It's sad, beautiful, nostalgic.

This is a still image from one of my favorite horror films, The Woman in Black. Fantastic film based on the novel of the same title.

@@mm_nature the one with Daniel Radcliffe?
@@heinrichhertzsprung6889 Yes, I think that picture is from the Daniel Radcliffe movie. At least, that's what Google says it is from. :)

the audio jungle slapped
Love this playlist, really helps to get me in the mood for studying. But why is there a weird whisper of 'Audio Jungle' that repeats every five seconds in the last five minutes? It's pretty distracting.
it's just an outro at the end of the video
@@hexen259 What's the outro then? Whatever the song it -- it's gorgeous and would love to find it!
Maravillosas melodías!💓💕
yes thank you 🥰
this theme is from the woman in black movie
I really love this playlist. But I wonder why there's a copyrighted line "Audio Jungle" keeps repeated around 1:02:50.
outro video
@@hexen259 which song is in this outro?
😂😂😂😂 for me the voice (Audio Jungle) and the music match perfectly
The audio Jungle caught me off guard lol

Welcome in the club ahahah
But you were there, born then and also now, an old soul.
That's great 🙂 i feel the same
If you believe in reincarnation, that's why it feels familiar.
Unless you’re a minority, or female, or anything besides heterosexual. Then you should be glad you were born now lol
la junga del audio, la jungla de oriol, la jungla de cristal
The music reminds me of Penny Dreadful.
They invited Capability Brown back to show him the improvements they made to his original design.

Looks like the house from the cover of the first Black Sabbath album.

audio jungle
Wish it didn't keep repeating "audio jungle" toward the end. Ruins it.
Is that crackling supposed to be rain??
