  • Civil Procedure Rules - Chapter 10: Appearance (CLP)
    After the Plaintiff has served the writ on the Defendant. The Defendant is required to enter appearance if he wishes to defend the action. If the Defendant fails to enter appearance, then the Plaintiff may enter a judgment in default of appearance for certain claims.

    under o10 r2 ROC or under o11 r2 ROC, time for Defendant that's out of jurisdiction to enter into appearance is within 14 days, isnt it??

      Yes, if u are serving under O11 r4, it is 21 days (suing a foreigner), whereas if u are serving under O10 r2, it is 14 days (suing a Malaysian who resides in oversea)
