Lazy cooking means less than 3 steps with minimal prep and washing up time but with maximum flavour and variety.
Today I’m going to show you how to make an entire week of high protein, nutrient dense meals in less than 2 hours.
This video is unbelievable! In just under four minutes you fit in three great meal prep ideas. No pointless jabber just straight to the point. Love it, gonna have to try these
Video editing! Unbelievable!
Thank you! 🙏 much appreciated
@@coacheugeneteo please make more of the with some spicy food
love this one btw great video and editing simple quick and easy
why are all youtube comments like this? are you from indian clickfarm?
@@katebush8415 Actually, I'm a regular human from Ireland who was just sharing my thoughts on the video. Sorry I seem a little robotic. Would you prefer a "OMG this video is wild bro. So dope and radical 🤣☠ hashtag 10/10" or something along these lines? Would that make you feel more comfortable?
The man is reading minds…
This is so helpful! Honestly, the time it takes to food prep when added into all of the other things we have to do as adults can just be that one piece that makes it too much, so, any food prep shortcuts are greatly appreciated. More of these please!
This is EXACTLY the level of cooking and amount of protein I need. Excellent stuff!
I love that you demonstrated cooking these all at the same time as that is realistic for the majority of us on a time crunch! The breakfast bars look amazing, can't wait to try them out when I have a western kitchen again.
Fantastic recipe ideas. I wasn’t sure what to expect. A lot of body builders just mix two Proteins together in a bowl with rice with an avocado and call it a day. This food actually looked really good.
Glad you liked it!
This is the perfect video to fall in with your content Eugene! Meal prep is as important as getting in the perfect workout, great video! 10/10
Many years ago I was working 12+ hours a day at a hospital and was running out of fumes by mid-morning. I found an "oatmeal bars" recipe that's similar to the "Haviland" (no seeds, had peanut butter). I switched some of the oats for packets of flavored instant oatmeal & *_added 4 scoops of chocolate protein powder._* I ate them in the car, packed as snacks, & even substituted a lunch or two with these.
I also lost 10 lbs! One can last 5+ hours with steady blood sugar levels and no food cravings. The consistency is chewy & filling, so one can't possibly overeat on those "Haviland" bars.
FINALLY...a bodybuilder/trainer that knows his way around the kitchen yet with some easy food prep hacks. Well Done.
Note: No microwaved, synthetic flavorings, or pam spray were used LOL.
1000% this. Eugene actually prioritizes nutrition. No seed oils, sugary processed "macro friendly" junk foods, boneless chicken breast and shitty protein powders.
@@ItsChrisFtw "no seed oils" Meanwhile that entire oat, chia, flax and nut monstrosity is nothing but seeds which is where those oils come from.
@@charleshill1906 While true, and I'm largely not a fan of nuts/seeds myself for gut microbiome, still leagues better than the horrendous inflammatory oils themselves.
@@ItsChrisFtw I get what you're saying. Not as high of quantity since it takes pounds of seeds to get a few grams of oil. But that whole concoction he made is gonna shred his intestines. And on the cleanup side it probably turns his shit into spackle.
@@charleshill1906 Idk why people say shit without trying the foods themselves. I have had a ton of massive seed cooks like that and it never fucked up my intestines or turned my shit into spackle lol. Just don't eat the whole fucking thing at once
Love seeing this! Hope to see more of such quick, efficient cooking videos
I am getting back to the gym after a long while away. I needed something like this to stop my excuses, get organized, and become the fitter self I deserve to be. Thank you! Subscribed.
Hey Eugene, on the off-chance you read this - this kind of content is really nice! It's nice to see how other people approach food for this pursuit. It's such a huge part of whether you have a fulfilling lifestyle with fitness goals; anything to make it more interesting, easier, or less neurotic is great.
It's kind of weird that we don't have many videos or discussions out there with different in-practice approaches/hot tips being shared beyond the "my full day of eating" stuff. I'm all for "hey try this exercise in your next block" but the kitchen's a huge part of keeping things interesting too!
If somebody could make an entire cookbook like this that would be awesome. Weekly Meal preps. Thank for this. Just found a new use for my rice cooker and a new cut of beef to try.
Did someone say cookbook?!
This is one of the most delicious looking high protein meals I’ve seen. Bravo.
These kinda of cooking/lifestyle videos are SO useful for corporate workers like me. Thank you!
Excellent video. I am a nutritionist and can honestly say this is such a useful and efficient way to cook especially for ppl who have little time or aren't massive fans of cooking
The pichana is my go to. I buy mine from Costco at around $30 for a whole roast. I'll split it into 3 and I now have 3 weeks worth of roast to meal prep with. I'll also do chicken breast to switch it up. Sirloin Roast is a GREAT option if you want something very lean and flavorful, whilst being inexpensive.
I smoke my Pichana on my pellet grill @ 200 Degrees Farenheight for about 2-3 hours. Super tender and juicy.
Is it a brisket?
no it is not, I just treat it as such because the results are sooooo good. @@Murphmom
The practical uses here are perfect. Love seeing this side of your content.
Much love brother, been following you for years. Love this.
Thank you! 🙏
Its so ironic, the first video i saw of eugene was him cooking high protein meals in a pressure cooker i think, now we've come full circle. love this type of content
Great video! Much like your recipes are packed with nutrition, this video is packed with great info! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you! 🙏
FANTASTIC VIDEO! This is what every person needs, affordable, healthy, negligible prep time. I have a similar daily meal with oats and various seeds/fruits. Been having it for years, just cant get bored of it :P
Hey man long time follower, and use Ganbaru everyday! Are you able to put out more cooking content? You seem to be good at everything you do so this is no different. You are a huge inspiration to me.
The haviland slice is brilliant 😊
A Eugene Teo cooking channel is something I didn't know I needed.
this video was fkn dope! a great way to show people that cooking your own meals that you enjoy and are necessary for your lifestyle come hand in hand with working out. wholesome
Love the short cooking video. ' Food for Thought ! ' . Cheers!
awesome, already eager for the next episode of this
South american here. Gotta love anyone appreciating a good Picanha.
Excellent, mate!
Amazing video! Meal prep/cooking is the hardest part to be consistent with for me, these are great ideas that make it easy, please share more!
This works if you live alone and/or have a partner but are comfortable eating your own dedicated food at every meal.
I live with a vegetarian. She eats very healthy for a vegan, too, whole foods, whole grains, lentils, etc.
Here's my even more efficient protein rich meal method: I just bake 8 pounds of tilapia once a week, and pack it into 200g portions. With my partner, I just put that 200g in the bottom of a bowl and drop whatever vegan/vegetarian meal she or I made for us and the kid on top. I get variety and protein. More variety? Just use different animal protein sources. Still oven baked. Fast, low fat, easy.
PLEASE do more of these
I was planning on food shopping today anyway - now I have some great stuff to add to my list. Thanks!
A man of many talents .
love this
Your makeup looks OUTSTANDING today
I did try the Haviland slice of gains. It tasted good. Here's some numbers I calculated for myself:
Per 100g: 411 calories, 12g protein, 20g fat, 41g carbs (didnt write down sugars, but it's quite a bit)
Total weight after baking: 1739g
Price: Around 20€ for the ingredients
Note that I didn't find hemp seeds, so I left them out.
Personally, my main gripe is that it doesn't have as much protein as I hoped. The hemp seeds would have gotten it around 14,5g of protein per 100g instead of 12g, but it's still an issue. To get to my daily goal of 175g of protein, I'd have to eat 1,45kg of this, which would be 6000 calories.
Also, it was a bit dry. Maybe my oven was too high (180°C). I had to take a guess here because the video forgot to mention. Maybe an extra egg or two may have helped, or the hemp seeds. Still, I thought it was alright.
Try 150 for 30 minutes
Thanks for the macros. Looking at the ingredients, I figured it wouldn't have much protein. I'd probably add more eggs/egg white if I made it.
I eat it in rotation to other protein stuff I have. But its great in combination with other dairy proteins like cottage cheese or greek yogurt. Also a good natural way to load up on the omega 3 fats besides having fish around or capsules. Didn't consider adding more eggs but I'll take into consideration when I make it again. But you can freestyle and add other stuff to it based on your palate. For a while I added dark chocolate chips and it was nice.

Love the food.prep ideas Uncle Eugene!!! Just goes to show, there really is enough time to carve out food prep in a weekend!!! 👊☺️
that haviland shit looks pretty good not gonna lie
Glad this wasn't super complicated I know a lot of chefs want to show off their special secrets and just make a complicated mess haiyaaa Gordon
This was great, hope to see more recipes and videos like these.
Man came for us when we needed him the most 🙏🔱
Definitely do more of these videos.
I need more vids like this. GOLD

Glad you enjoyed it
That huge cut of beef looks like it costs like $100
Picanha 🥩 is cherished here in 🇧🇷 most common in barbecues. The one you made looked delish
If I didn't follow you all these years, seeing this I would have thought that this was a cooking show video haha
Dude do more of these it was great

Love this style of content being added

Basically 600 calories and
70g carbs

I love this man so much
This video is incredibly. Concise, useful, entertaining. Well done Eugene!
More of these, please.
Yah more of this please!
Amazing video! I can't wait to try this I've been a silent viewer for a very long time. This is incredible good job!
appreciate this type of content.
Yep, definitely enjoying these kinds of videos too
Awesome recipes 💯
Thank you
It’s never too early or too late to work on a better you.
Incredible video. 10/10
My wife is Brazilian so we eat a ton of picanha. For easy and delicious picanha in the oven: trim fat to about 1cm thick, coat the whole thing in salt, pepper and garlic, coat the meat side in flour too. Cook for an hour at 170c for an hour, fat side up. Let rest for 15 min.
More cooking/food videos! They are so helpful!
I like this a lot
Super helpful video, pls do more of these
Great :) time-efficient and no food wastage!
Now I'm hungry after watching this 🥲
on the slice of gains he used ml instead of grams for his ingredients, but since the ratios were pretty close still came out great recommend.
I agree with the other comments - a fast and efficient video that gives some great bulk prep options.
The Haviland Slice of Gains is an ok breakfast. I've made it I think 4 times now and here are some of my thoughts.
Pros:
Decently tasty
Great nutrients
Very easy to make
Cons:
Annoying to chew. Unless you chew this into a smooth paste before swallowing, you're going to shit out whole or half seeds every day.
Expensive. All of the ingredients add up to a pretty hefty amount for a breakfast (where I live). This recipe makes me 8 servings, which is a fair point. It may be within your budget, but I don't think it's within mine.
I will go back to oats, fruit, eggs, and milk after this week. I have plenty of time to cook, so saving time is not a big factor for me. Thanks for sharing, Eugene!
Honestly never would have thought about making chicken in a rice cooker, that looks like a really good idea
Funny enough I remember my uncle introducing it to my family awhile back as his specialty. He cooks his with soy sauce and pineapple juice to help make the meat tender. Eugene's method is also a way to make a 'bootleg' version of Hainan chicken rice.
Eugene I loved this video, quick, easy to understand and mouthwatering!
That congee is my favourite meal👌🏼
Chef Eugene is back.
Here in Brazil Picanha is one of the most expensive bovine cuts! Found realy interesting that there you consider it cheap. Nice video btw!
Ps.: seriously considering buying an eletric pan
I love this. Please please please make more.
Chef Eugene I love this kind of content! I think you need to make more!
Did God send you...this was clutch bro
Thank you from Cleveland, Ohio!!!
to the point, effective, no bs. 11/10 son
Just what I needed. Holy smokes I can’t believe how easy you made this. I already knew about picanha but woulda never thought to prepare it this way. Thank you!
3:22 holy smokes is this a fitness channel or a cooking channel?! Nailed the picanha!
Just found your channel and you’re a life changer. Thank you man
Welcome!
This was a gem,,, please keep them going
Thanks for that quick hacks, man! An efficient vid for an efficient process. Hope we like it over here.
The worst thing about being an adult is deciding what to eat every single meal for the rest of your life. I love this video
Awesome Video Teo!
Can't believe i've never thought of using my rice cooker to cook chicken and then throwing rice in. Thanks Eugene!
Tom H. slice of gains dish is wild. My stomach wouldn’t tolerate all those grains and seeds on the regular. No surprise he came up with that baked dish, dude is a house. 😂
Solid video.
the haviland... pie? thing looks great. Make more videos like this, many of your viewers enjoy cooking!
That's awesome! Thanks for the ideas, uncle Eugene!! 😁
This is meal prep done right. Bravo sir.
Thanks eugene! Hope you make more of these!
You find way to exceed expectation! keep it up!
The original south american Picanha is a wonderful piece of meat, when buying check for the Argentinian or Uruguayan ones first (those are the best) and Brazilian after. Dont even consider a Picanha from any other south american country aside of those.
When picking, keep in mind that a full picanha piece wont be heavier than 1.4kg (3.1lbs). Its easy to find heavier pieces, but those comes with lower quality cuts together.
Love this video. Awesome!
Great meal guide video. No pointless shenanigans. A video full of reliable content in short time frame. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
