X Wing Fighter Studio Scale Model

This is a very early generation Studio Scale Resin garage kit from an unknown maker, either Mike Salzo or Captain Cardboard. This kit came with a separate cockpit hood and the engines halves cast inside the wing part unlike almost all other versions of this kit I've seen. The castings were pretty rough (especially the little R2D2 part) and this was only the 2nd Star Wars-related kit I've ever done. As the kits came with no instructions, I had to do a ton of research to figure out what went where and come up up with the "Red 5" paint scheme.
