That was my immediate thought as well. Like girl, even if you might not be close to your family, it definitely sounds like you have support from those around you.
Clubbing is biggest waste of money even if you have to cash to do so. You spend so much just for dancing and music and alcohol. Like I do go clubbing, in my basement with a bottle of what would be the same cost per drink out at club.
"positivity is not a bad thing but when it blinds us from reality, that's where it starts becoming dangerous." That's a profound comment if I ever heard one.
I work in the er as a nurse. Before that I worked as life flight medic. It's sad to see patients over years get fatter , smoke more, not control blood pressure and blood sugar. The would call 911 when they couldn't breathe, were having chest pain etc. We would get them stabilized. They would be back in 7 to 10 days same problem. Eventually they would be too sick to save. I would hear their family saying "it's so sad, they were so healthy and so young" people live in fantasy land
I had a civic. Bought it off marketplace. The seller installed the timing belt wrong which caused a cascade effect within the engine. I tried to fix it but eventually it was just better to buy a new car, this time from an actual dealership.
Took the day off of work, ordered some DoorDash using my 36% compounding interest credit card, and just took a mortgage out under my kids name. I’m ready for this episode
Don’t forget to take a vacation to Puerto Rico to forget about being behind 2 car payments/credit cards, being homeless, and having $0 in your bank account! Don’t worry, it’ll come back around.
I kept saying, “she’s 21.” But at 21 I wasn’t doing this. Girl, get multiple jobs and live poor! Youth is on your side. Hell I got a road job at a railroad. Stop acting like you’re better than hard work.
Was just thinking that myself. I would never survive a second job today but at her age I was working three jobs, living with roommates and eating ramen 5 nights a week and yet I had energy to get into all sorts of youthful hijinks. This is the age to hustle!
She doesn't even need a second job! Witj the money she wastes on cigarettes, the clubs, insufficient funds fees, and Door Dash she could save plenty to put towards all of her minimum payents and even closing some accounts.
Yeah at 21 I had just gotten a 25k loan from the bank of dad to buy my own small business I already worked for but I made the most of my good fortune. I was hustling and living poor to pay business overhead at a physical trade job 50-60 hours a week at least plus babysitting/nannying some evenings and weekends to work towards saving for a home down payment. It was EXHAUSTING even though I was young but now at 42 it has paid off and I don’t have to hustle like that anymore which is good cuz I don’t think I’d survive that now lol. Some young employees I’ve had, had her attitude and I tried my hardest to be a Caleb for them but not sure it worked.
At 21 I was working three jobs cash in hand and living on the cheapest rent I could find and travelling overseas on the money I saved in the bottom of my laundry basket whenever the pile got big enough!
I’m realizing that as long as people are physically able to live as if they aren’t poor, they don’t feel poor and they don’t see the severity of the situation. She’d feel poor if she was under a bridge and counting pennies for lunch, but she physically can pull out a card and fly to Puerto Rico and she can eat at restaurants and live in a air conditioned home. She doesn’t feel poor, so she’s not acting like she is. But she’s mathematically much poorer than the homeless guy under the bridge.
My 38 year old daughter is disabled but is able to work part-time to supplement her disability check. (She caught an unknown virus when she was 2 that wrecked her immune system) She lives on $1,400 every month and feels bad about her position in life BUT she has no debt. In reality, that's a lot better than her friends who are able bodied and working full-time and drowning in debt. Zero net wort is better than negative net worth. When I explained that to her, she felt so much better about herself. (I bought a small house for her to live in and I don't charge her rent. She pays the utilities. I paid cash for the house so no mortgage.)
@@teresahunt5521that’s awesome, glad you were able to do that for her. And glad she’s doing her best to be a productive member of society working part time. 😊
@@maxhalley4373 Thank you. It took a long time to finish college because of her disability. When she got her first job in banking, she ran out and bought a new car. It got repossessed when she got sick again. She learned that lesson the hard way. We are now looking for a vehicle that will get her from A to B. The Rendezvous I bought her several years ago finally bit the dust. For now, we share my 09 Rav4. I drive it Mon morning through Fri afternoon and she drives it on the weekends when she works. I agree what he says about mental health. I have ADHD, been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, have an eating disorder and what I have learned is this: I am my own responsibility. I am the ONLY one who can decide to be better. I can not use my mental health as an excuse to get out of anything. It's unfair towards the people around me and it's unfair towards myself
Autism with psychosis and ptsd. Still hold a job and work and pay my own bills. I have a car a place of my own. I came up short for the first time ever recently due to three employers refusing to pay me for work done and having to live off savings for 3 months. What did I do? I said fu to them stopped trying to get blood from a stone and got a job with a temp agency, until I get my insurance license issued so I can work in that field(something I've always wanted to do, since 20). Once my license is issued I have two job offers in hand. One with a major regional agency another with a large national insurer.
It frustrates me when people use it as an excuse to give up. I spent 14-24 doing this. Finally out my head to getting the right help and am now on the right medications to finally feel stable and act responsibly.
My coworker did this. The AC was going out and had a big crack on the windshield. Solution? New 35k dollar vehicle.... yeah that made sense to them somehow.
It's justification. People who do that want a new car but use the repair cost as justification. I know people who would do that. Even I catch myself in that thought process sometimes.
One thing overlooked is how entirely dependent she is on her girlfriend and her family. The family is basically enabling her behavior by giving her transportation, $250 rent, most likely food and other freebies living there. All it takes is one argument and a breakup and her life is literally in shambles
She is Shameful exploiting others and trying to appear nice but I feel she is disgusting. I hope the throw her out. Such a child. Living off beauty entitlement.
facts she also needs to stop taking her moms advice. my mom is in her 60s and still is poor blaming generational curses on her bad decisions. I was doing good til i moved in with her during covid and ruined my entire life. i would have been better off living in my car. Now im still paying for taking her shirt advice meanwhile she's homeless im saving money trying to get better and my old life pre covid back.
When Caleb talked to her about world views and about her mattering, that was the first time I’ve actually cried during an episode. You can see how much he genuinely cares about people, their finances, and their futures. Keep doing what you’re doing Caleb you’re changing lives.
It’s honestly sad to see how many people were not raised by people who taught them how to be financially responsible. This is why I feel it’s so important to teach this in schools. I’m so glad you made this channel!! I know I’ve learned a lot.
genuinely THE BEST piece of advice i've gotten in all of K-12 was in my economics class when they told us to never use a credit card unless you're 100% positive that you'll be able to pay it off within a month. i think a lot of people don't realize that it's not free money and if you don't pay it back it WILL accrue interest and you'll pay way more in the long run
Yeah seriously tho, my mom would get mad at me, we’d argue, and she’d call me selfish for wanting to learn how and asking her questions. A lot of parents nowadays don’t want to see their kids actually do well/better than them. I’d even ask what I can do or where I can bring my car into get it worked on and shed be like “do you seriously need that?” “Does your car even have spark plugs” was another occasion and I was shocked 😂 They don’t teach it in school for that very reason. The system is a bunch of pieces that work together to keep us uneducated and dumb, not saying Hitler was a good guy or anything but he warned us all that this was coming. I’m just using that to share that this is nothing new, except our government, banks, corporations, media, and now social media are all used to condition and brainwash ppl. While the same ppl will defend the system and say you’re the bad guy for pointing it out. This is why they want us all on different pages and not having the courage to actually drop our beliefs too - It’s called the War on Consciousness, my channel actually about it bc it gets deep.
If this girl reads this comment- I’m an auto tech and don’t sell your car and mess your finances up even more. Your honda is just as reliable as a Toyota, one of the best cars on the market. Fix the car and drive until the recall. There’s very little signs of a “bad fuel pump”. Usually when it’s bad, the car won’t turn on. If the car turns on then it’s working and driveable. I think you’re convincing yourself you’re in a deeper hole than you actually are (car-wise).
And the cheap cash car you plan to buy will be older and come with potential issues, just like a bad fuel system or lots of wear and tear maintenance that will add up
Yup I've been dyno tuning and modding cars for almost 20yrs and you're spot on. Fuel pumps don't start going bad. Best to just throw in the money to fix the car. ECM going bad is possible but I haven't seen that to be too common with Honda. Toyota and Honda with basic maintenance run great for many years with no issues. 🤙
@@kunya16 Honda is the pinnacle of reliability (or at least used to be, but doubt it's decreased much). I've never understood anyone that says Honda is bad. Sure, it's not flashy for the most part, but they will last forever with just basic maintenance.
@@yaibas1well there is a recall for some sort of degradation that can happen to the fuel pump, but I believe there are other car brads affected by the recall. Honda doesn't build the fuel pump themselves. So taking the car to the recall when she gets the recall is a none issue.
I feel that I hate seeing money go out of my account but it's literally a part of life like I had to get over that, also with that being said it made me more aware of what I was buying
The generational curse is irresponsibility and ignorance breeding irresponsibility and ignorance. Until someone breaks that cycle it will perpetuate indefinitely.
Has no money? Lives with girlfriends parents, uses parent’s car, doesn’t pay any bills and thinks it’s just going to go away. No money but goes on vacations, buys clothes, eyelashes, fast food, goes clubbing, etc.. this is not the world’s fault, this is all on her.
oh oh oh oh she's a princess.... heard the theme song when I saw that. She's leeching off others and needs to get cut off and clean up her act. No b*tching, no whining!
It feels like this is most people in America. "I don't know where all my money went. The world is against me. It's the government's fault." 5 minutes later "I went on a vacation to Puerto Rico recently. It was fun."
In one year my wife and I paid off over $35k in credit card consumer and auto loan debt. Now we are sitting very nicely with just a mortgage at 2.8%. Stacking money towards our emergency fund. In the next 5 years we will have a healthy retirement account on our way to paying off our home.
@@mowtivatedmechanic1172 no, bad advice. Market historically even at a conservative 7%, outpaces the crap of a 2.7% interest on a house. Retirement will compound better and the equity in the home is a LOT less flexible if they split some of that money into a brokerage or even a HYS at 4.5 to 5%
He’s much more effective when he actually has a conversation with a guest and actually educates them. This was a fantastic episode. Much better than just yelling and yelling..
I was literally scrolling through the comments just now to see if anybody else mentioned how annoying he's being in this one. I'm beside myself that you think that of this particular episode
@Drivesfastlikescats people in financial situations like this are usually deeply in denial of how bad things are. He tries to break through that denial and force them to actually see how bad their situation is so they will improve, you can't do that quickly without being aggressive. They know they're coping and throwing out flimsy excuses, and he knows it too, so he interrupts and ignores those
i made so many bad financial moves in my early20s, but thankfully(?) it was due to duress + not knowing my other options as opposed to choosing to make dumb decisions. at 28 now i’ve got my emergency fund, just over 2k in investments (not much but i’m not in debt anymore so it’s only gonna grow), credit score is still in the garbage but i have 1 more year until the old collections come off and i haven’t made any bad decisions since, so i feel confident in myself going forward. we can all do this no matter when you start!!
I love that he notices that she’s taking this hard and talks to her calmly. Ngl I’ve watched a bunch of these and this is one of the only videos where the person actually look like they feel bad for her situation. And it’s nice that he is gentler with her because of that.
She has put herself in an incredible dangerous situation where if she and her girlfriend break up she is homeless, will shortly be jobless as she can't work from under a bridge, has no transport to go to the office, and being unable to pay her car bill that will be repossessed. She fucking better make that relationship work till she learns to stand on her own.
This is how a lot of people get stuck in DV relationships. The abuser knows that the victim has no choice but to stay with them so they feel they can do whatever they want….and many times they can because the victim is afraid of their own financial consequences.
Yup, she makes enough money to pay her bills/debts if she really wanted too…She’s just been choosing travel, vacations, going to clubs and having fun over paying her bills. Then says it a “generational curse” that she doesn’t have money. 😂😂 Hope she eventually grows up soon and starts taking some personal accountability.
Why do these people who believe in make believe ideologies like astrology and manifestations always want to be psychologists and counselors? These are the worst kind of people for that
I've learned in psychology is it's their way to cope. Feeling that changing something in the exterior will heal what they feel inside. Lots of patterns that lead to internal conflicts that they are crying for help but see it as venting.
@@Choc0change Can you explain how? After all choices are *not* made through words, but the result of deliberate action (or inaction). E.g.: If somebody chooses to have intercourse - especially without contraception, they are deliberately accepting the risk and the potential consequences arising from that risk. If the consequence happens to be pregnancy, then it was the direct result of that person's deliberate action. It was their choice for that pregnancy (to be possible) to happen, no matter how often they used their words to insist that they don't want kids. Note: I'm not using this example to make a moral point about that particular choice or to suggest any particular way to handle the consequences. It's just an example of how words are shallow and meaningless, it's your actions that define your choices. Only your actions change reality, empty words will not.
And the GF's parents house them and let them use a car for free bc her car is broken and her gf totaled her own car. So, the car she NEEDS to get work and the house that's keeping her from being homeless is not much help at all. None at all. Talk about Delulu.
lol when she just said she lives with her girlfriend's parents - she is extremely lucky they are so nice - I don't know why her girlfriend's parents are being so generous to her honestly, free loader
@MissMosierable if she just slept at her job she wouldn't need a car or a house. So because she could be homeless as an option, housing isn't useful. 😂😂😂
Whenever I hear "spiritual", I just automatically assume that means "I pick and choose extremely specific quotes from the Bible or other religious text that makes me feel better about myself and I ignore the rest."
Thanks to Caleb hammering on about the importance of an emergency fund I started socking away some money in a saving account. This week I had to take my cat to the emergency vet. It was stressful, but since I had an emergency fund I didn’t have to grab one of the Care Credit pamphlets they had in the waiting room and I paid the whole bill on the spot without having to put anything on my credit card. My cat is doing better and thanks to Caleb’s good advice my finances are too!
We need a financial audit bingo cause the amount of times “money isnt real” “i am a credit card person” “manifesting” is used needs to get put to use somehow
“This month was unusual” “My partner is the irresponsible one even though im an addict and have a shit ton of debt myself” “I see a way out” “Its not that bad” “Im better of than most people my age etc” “It could be worse”
I’m a teacher and CALEB you should design and sell a personal finance high school curriculum. It’s scary how ignorant kids are of the most basic things like interest rates. We are *desperate* for one that is up to date with the current economy.
Personal finance was a mandatory class at 2 of 3 high schools I went to from 2014-2018(my family moved around a tad). They were both crappy schools in the boonies. We learned how to budget, how to not die under a pile of credit card debt, and even how to file taxes by hand. I don't think anyone but me paid attention. We are taught in school, but nobody cares.
Here me out. School does a fundraiser to purchase the already existing budget program (maybe caleb will offer a discount for a group/high school students). Students do an exit program where they pick a Career. Find the salary, what secondary school (if any), and what locations are hiring for that position. A kid could build a fake budget with a bunch of plug in #s. Could ask parents what the food budget is, how much utilities are, phone bill, etc.
She didn’t want to take $800 from them to get her car fixed because she said she’d figure it out, but then she is driving someone else’s car indefinitely. So she’s still accepting help in a different way.
Yeah the amount you “owe” them for borrowing the car is going to end up being higher than it would be to just pay to get the car fixed (just because they aren’t directly giving money) and you still need to fix you car in the end.
Yeah and in a more annoying way. I'd rather give someone $800 to fix their own car then have them drive around in mine everyday risking crashing my car.
As a counselor, this girl is simply not equipped for the profession nor would any amount of college facilitate what is lacking until she grows in maturity. @@m_here1it’s too easy these days. The quality of the bar has dropped, as other industries have provided the most talented people with more opportunities to get rich.
The first thing your counselor will tell you when you are depressed and have mental stuff is to get up in the morning. Take a shower make your bed and go to work. Because every action you complete is a little win and when you stack up all those little wins. Your mental health improves.
Thank you for this post. I've heard this before and know it to be true but depression made me forget so I really appreciate you taking your time to send this.
So true. For me it’s a “everything counts” mentality. Could I choose to not make my bed or wash my face when struggling? Yes, but I know that doing things will provide better peace of mind

Payday loans were one of the worst decisions I ever made. I knew it was malicious, I knew they were predatory, but I thought I could handle it, and I was wrong. One loan turned into two turned into me using other loans to pay other loans, it quickly becomes a horrible situation, I'm still paying them off but I at least managed to get out of the cycle of taking out loans constantly to pay other loans. This video is amazing because this young woman really does manifest money, but she doesn't take it. Like her girlfriend's parents offered to pay for her car repair, she turned it down. Caleb literally was like, "What would motivate you to stop smoking?" She could have said, $1,000 and he probably would have given her at least $500. Like I'm not saying manifesting works, but it doesn't work great when you don't see it's happening and don't take advantage!

A man was drowning in a raging river. He said, “God, help me!” A moment later, a fisherman came by in a boat and said, “Here! Let me pull you in!” The man said, “No, thank you. God will save me.” So the fisherman left him in the water. When the man drowned and died, he got to Heaven and said, “God, why did you not save me?” God said, “Dude, I sent a boat.” Someone needs to tell her this story. Caleb's channel may be inadvertently amassing real data on just how well manifesting works in the financial world. I'm beginning to see the connection after viewing many of his helpful videos. Manifesting money, it seems, ensures that you will not only lose money but that you will lose money 10 fold. That's real science. Thank you Caleb.
We love you Caleb! The financial audit saved my finances. I am debt free first time in my adulthood (I am 30) with a 6 month of emergency fund!! I can start investing soon 🎉🎉
I don’t think her girlfriend’s family are mistreating her if she’s only paying 200/mo in rent. I just think the girlfriend has bad financial habits just like her.
'Manifesting' is an excuse to do two things: Make a wish and hope your problems go away, and secondly blame either everyone else for your wish not coming true or (worst of all) blaming yourself for not wishing hard enough. Both scenarios stop people doing actual real work to improve their lives.
I see the value of "manifesting" if it's "I'm picturing this good thing happening so it seems real and achievable and it will help motivate me to take the steps to make the good thing happen". But those action steps are still the main key!!!
Visualization is what looking for manifestation is just think what want and trying push the world into give what want 😅without make effort to make it happen just think hard and say I want I want I want it 😂 nope visualize what you want think 🤔 it out then take action to make it happen where you can
Nah that’s just being out of touch reality. Manifesting only “works” when you put the work in. It’s just a positive thought reinforcement IF used correctly.
Thank you for dialing it back a bit with the thumbnails, love your content and the work you do, thanks for helping me develop a healthy perspective with personal finance
Rooting so hard for this beautiful woman to take control of her own life!! It’s a beautiful life when you can walk with your head up and your eyes open. All love ❤❤❤❤❤
Manifesting is not a real thing. The people who say that sit on their ass and expect the hard work to do itself which is why they never have anything they "manifest" happen
Anyone who claims they're "manifesting" anything is using it as a weaponized excuse for their inaction. They sit around and do jack and then get surprised when they're not suddenly rich and financially stable.

The would call 911 when they couldn't breathe, were having chest pain etc. We would get them stabilized. They would be back in 7 to 10 days same problem. Eventually they would be too sick to save. Took the day off of work, ordered some DoorDash using my 36% compounding interest credit card, and just took a mortgage out under my kids name. I’m ready for this episode
If you have time stop paying for your car and buy a new one in your Mom's name.
But it’s ok because money isn’t real!
I hope your card was over its limit and in your kids name.
Should have added that the day off is unpaid.
Yeah, hard work doesn’t get easier the older you get.

I was taught budgeting in school but it was in Home Ec. Not every student takes Home Ec. There should be a class that all students take.
genuinely THE BEST piece of advice i've gotten in all of K-12 was in my economics class when they told us to never use a credit card unless you're 100% positive that you'll be able to pay it off within a month. i think a lot of people don't realize that it's not free money and if you don't pay it back it WILL accrue interest and you'll pay way more in the long run
Yeah seriously tho, my mom would get mad at me, we’d argue, and she’d call me selfish for wanting to learn how and asking her questions. A lot of parents nowadays don’t want to see their kids actually do well/better than them. I’d even ask what I can do or where I can bring my car into get it worked on and shed be like “do you seriously need that?” “Does your car even have spark plugs” was another occasion and I was shocked 😂
They don’t teach it in school for that very reason. The system is a bunch of pieces that work together to keep us uneducated and dumb, not saying Hitler was a good guy or anything but he warned us all that this was coming.
And the cheap cash car you plan to buy will be older and come with potential issues, just like a bad fuel system or lots of wear and tear maintenance that will add up
Thank you for commenting this it helped me haha now I know for the future

Watch out, Dr. Phil.
That gives me second hand anxiety to think about this level of dependency.
She won’t. She will be homeless and on drugs at this rate.

I clocked that too. Its probs a big reason why she doesnt ask for her money back. She feels she owes the family already
This is how a lot of people get stuck in DV relationships. The abuser knows that the victim has no choice but to stay with them so they feel they can do whatever they want….and many times they can because the victim is afraid of their own financial consequences.

@@Choc0changeIt absolutely is.
"Your worldview has failed you" is the coffee mug I desperately need.

But she said she wants to get married, so getting on the same page regarding finances *BEFORE* getting married is pretty important

Acting like because a car is a certain brand that it won’t need maintenance lol
I have a 1998 Honda and its super reliable 😂
She's more of a Mitsubishi type of girl 😂
Her comment of "I don't use autopay because I want to feel in control of my money" SCREAMS she needs therapy. She doesn't feel in control of her life for whatever reason, so will screw herself over to feel something.
I put my bills on autopay and have never felt more in control of my finances.
Yet she wants to be a therapist.
Naw I get what she means. Its psychological, i like to maybe my subscriptions automatically buty big purchases are paid manually
@@Kinsale101 oh absolutely. But in response to Jane above, it's a false sense of control. Not having to worry with everything just going is soooo freeing! I hope she can get to that point. Cause she's not even paying rent or food! She can totally do this.
@@MissMosierableit's more common than you think. Broken people gravitate towards psych so they can "understand themselves"
DO ANYTHING YOU CAN TO AVOID THEM, PLEASE, DO NOT SCREW YOURSELF OVER LIKE I DID.
Let's start manifesting ✨✨personal responsibility✨✨
Manifesting reality, ouuuuuu✨✨✨
I need that on a t-shirt
Good one 😂
Absolutely! Personal responsibility is what most people don’t understand. To be in this kind of debt and only 21 years old. 😢
Free from all debt but my mortgage now 🥳
Never felt happier. Thanks for kick up the butt we need Caleb ❤
WOOOOOOOO
Congratulations!
Everyone is proud of you❤
Congratulations 🎉
@@11BscoutNG I’m super lucky too, I locked my mortgage rate in at 2% and I literally couldn’t rent a room in somebody else’s house for my monthly payment 🫶🏼
I want to give her a hug. I really really am rooting for her!
This is the best interview in quite a while in my opinion. She seemed quite receptive to criticism once it sunk in. Hope the best for her!
Why do so many people think they have to go on a trip to celebrate a friend’s birthday??? This behavior is so prevalent and detrimental to finances. Is a cake, candles and ice cream beneath you? 😖😖😖
Totally agree...the FOMO is overpowering too many people nowadays...
It's bizarre to me, I've literally never met/heard of/know anyone who has ever travelled for someone birthday.
But what will they post on social media?! I agree, it's ridiculous.
That’s what I say about traveling for bachelor/bachelorette parties. Like for real, most people CANNOT afford it, but we know several people have done this. That blows my mind that you would ask anyone to spend that kind of money to celebrate YOU.
@@cooker-q4x YES. I was thinking the same when I originally responded!!
She had me pissed to begin with ! But she really has me rooting for her at the end. I truly hope she pulls this off and turns her life around!😊
She wants something more reliable but her Honda Civic is already one of the most reliable cars out rn
I’m so happy someone else said it. Like Honda Civic? It’s $800 FIX IT
Not only is she financially stupid. She's car stupid as well
She just wants a brand new car. I saw a thread once where someone was complaining their 2020 car was old and had to be replaced and its like... you know cars last longer than 3.5years right JFC
@@jadiecakes3241to add to your point my dad had a 93 toyota pickup, that thing refused to die, it only went kaput a year ago and it took the entire engine bay going up in flames before it gave up (nobody was hurt). thats 30 years. obviously its not like it never needed repairs now and again, but the point is you can make it work if you want too, there are ways to have vehicles LAST.
@@jadiecakes3241 Not with the way young people take care of cars. Most of them dont even put oil in the car
Wow this really turned around, was not expecting that. She really started being honest and opening up. I feel optimistic for her
This video is amazing because this young woman really does manifest money, but she doesn't take it.
I saw another comment like this but 1.5 year of watching caleb i started with 18k in debt and now im about 29k net positive it feels amazing
Congratulations! When you get to the point that a car repair is something you can pay cash for, the feeling is such a high. Your life goes from sheer panic to "its just a speedbump"
Nice!!!!🎉
Amazing!!!
I remember the day that I made a deposit into my savings account and I had a comma in the total. I had hit $1,000.00 in savings. My next goal was 2 numbers in front of the comma. It is weird how much of a high that gave me.
That's amazing and so motivating
I love that he just instantly shuts down excuses with pure logic, and then they can't fight back on it lol
A man was drowning in a raging river. He said, “God, help me!”
A moment later, a fisherman came by in a boat and said, “Here! Let me pull you in!” The man said, “No, thank you. God will save me.”
So the fisherman left him in the water.
When the man drowned and died, he got to Heaven and said, “God, why did you not save me?”
God said, “Dude, I sent a boat.”
Someone needs to tell her this story. Insert God with “the universe” or her crystals or whatever else she believes it.
This is a prime example of what happens when "YOLO" your life away with no self-control and discipline with money.
Omg... She's only 21... Nobody is THAT responsible when 21...
I wasn't super smart and responsible at 21. But for sure, I wasn't this reckless with money.
@@AtomicDimension Stop making excuses for people's shitty behavior. This absolutely is not normal, even at 21. Another member of the "calling out reality and insisting on accountability is patriarchal meanness" brigade. You and this guest are absolute children.
@@AtomicDimensionnobody should be THAT stupid at 21 either
@@AtomicDimension No excuse, I was a university grad by then with zero debt. 3 years later I was a homeowner. next year I hit a 100k income. Never make excuses for idiots.
Watched until the end, and glad I did. This woman definitely got the wake up call she needed on her life. She has been living like a spoiled 15 yr old for too long.
Just found this guy and I love this so far, we need more of this in the world
Cars break down and you fix them. You don't solve your problems by getting another car and ignoring the debt you created with the old car.
I think I have seen a few audits where they do exactly that 😵💫😵💫😵💫 just fix it jeez
If you don't drive more than 8k miles per year and you never want to pay for maintenance or repairs you can long-term rent (lease) a car and just get a new one every year or two. I personally don't do that, but I work on cars as a hobby.
I traded my jeep because of the death wobble. I broke even
"Be gay in your own house!! It's free!!"
We need these zingers on t-shirts lol
We do?
Caleb's channel may be inadvertently amassing real data on just how well manifesting works in the financial world. I'm beginning to see the connection after viewing many of his helpful videos. Manifesting money, it seems, ensures that you will not only lose money but that you will lose money 10 fold. That's real science. Thank you Caleb.
I say it all the time -- Mental health issues can be an EXPLANATION for bad behavior, but are rarely an EXCUSE.
10000% right!
We love you Caleb! The financial audit saved my finances. I am debt free first time in my adulthood (I am 30) with a 6 month of emergency fund!! I can start investing soon 🎉🎉
Holy crap you're in a great place 🙌 get your retirement going.. I'm 10 years behind you but turning my shit around thanks to Financial Daddy
I am going to say it again but thank you for doing that. I can see that you genuinely want to help people and it's very important what you are doing.
Caleb really did a fantastic job of talking this guest out of their magical thinking and into grappling with the reality of the situation. Masterful!
“Be gay in your own house; it’s free!” New motto for Pride 2024
I don’t think her girlfriend’s family are mistreating her if she’s only paying 200/mo in rent. I just think the girlfriend has bad financial habits just like her.
I want to see the post show but Caleb has taught me better than to spend that money 😫
You have passed the test
Right
I literally said the same I can’t afford the 5.99 until I finish paying my debts
Same😢, but we must stay strong. We can come back AFTER debts are gone
I love the result by the end so much. Finally a show that feels like it made a difference in someone's life
Bless this woman for really waking up to be honest Caleb you are doing gods work. Caleb thank you for everything you do.
'Manifesting' is an excuse to do two things: Make a wish and hope your problems go away, and secondly blame either everyone else for your wish not coming true or (worst of all) blaming yourself for not wishing hard enough.
Both scenarios stop people doing actual real work to improve their lives.
Yes! I really hate hearing people say that they manifested something.
I see the value of "manifesting" if it's "I'm picturing this good thing happening so it seems real and achievable and it will help motivate me to take the steps to make the good thing happen". But those action steps are still the main key!!!
the manifestation mind set can be good but actually saying "I manifested it" should happen AFTER the thing actually happens
$1200 in overdraft fees is absolute insanity
Just say she’s incompetent
@@23kurtzythe 40 year olds caleb has had on are incompetent. She just seems niave and inexperienced

Her mom teaching her about money is blind leading the blind
The clueless leading the dumb.
Down down down to the burning ring of fire 🔥
Some people really don’t understand manifesting and mindset, it requires you to take action and not just waiting for money to fall in your lap.
Thank you!!! If manifesting is just thinking then it means all the bad things were “manifested” too when really shit things just happen to people.
Manifesting is not a real thing. The people who say that sit on their ass and expect the hard work to do itself which is why they never have anything they "manifest" happen
Anyone mentioning it on this show is just fishing for an excuse to their poor behavior.
Anyone who claims they're "manifesting" anything is using it as a weaponized excuse for their inaction. They sit around and do jack and then get surprised when they're not suddenly rich and financially stable.
Exactly!!! I am 100% a science minded person, but I also use Tarot and manifestation to my advantage. Thank you confirmation bias and bias to action!
Been following the channel for 2 years. Finally got debt free and our car died. If i didnt have any emergency funds this would be much worse. Thanks caleb
