- Today we're doing an easy Day Trip from Kyoto and visiting two amazing temples in Daigo and Uji! We start off in Diago ji and then head over to Uji to walk through some streets filled with matcha (green tea) stores before visiting the beautiful Byōdō-in! We then have a small tour of Kyoto station. Thanks for watching!!!

Watching this while drinking green tea I bought in Uji last year, I almost cried 😢 When I went, the Byodo-in temple was closed for renovation, glad it opened and you could visit it, that place is magical!

I would love to see a vlog of your top 6 railway stations. Trains are my preferred mode of transport (and the only one to never -yet- have made me sick). Beautiful trains/stations always make my travel bucket-list.
Oh I am exactly the same!!! Love trains, everything else makes me sick unless I am driving it!!! I should do more train station vlogs - when all this crazy is over!
Went to Uji in late Feb and it was completely dead in comparison but absolutely beautiful. There is a little lookout point on the other side of the river (not the Byodo-in side) that looks out over the valley. Such a beautiful area!

Love Kyoto especially arashiyama sad I had to cancel my Trip in September/ October this year. Travel ban in Australia due to covid 19. I love anything Matcha. I've been to Kyoto 2 times. The station is amazing you showed me things I missed when I was there last May.
Ah so sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip Fiona, but better to be safe. I had a few planned trips this year which will need to cancel. But I'm going to put all that money into next year's trips, so hopefully those will be wonderfully fancy!!! Hope you're keeping safe and well!
