My mouth was dropped for the majority of this video. I don’t think people see what I’m seeing. You not only are an incredible Lars player, but an amazing fighting game player. Every move you’re doing has a purpose and Lars feels like an extension of your mind. Very inspiring. I love Lars and I hope you make more advanced guides in the future! Good job man
I’m a fan from japan. Currently stuck at tekken king and having difficulty on learning matchups. Looking forward on your upcoming videos againts different characters. Love your content!
Tekken King in Japan is very good! I know that because I was in Japan last year and played ranked. A lot of strong players at these ranks. Thank you I will try my best to upload videos against different characters!
Dude those matches were insane! I have a lot of trouble with the neutral (im mighty ruler) and i am keeping track of your moves and movement you do before you engage. I find your matches really helpful and entertaining. Keep at it dude.
DEN 3? In neutral, use DEN 2 (CH Launcher) or DEN 1 (11f +1 jab) to make them block against lars when you approach. Then use DEN 3 when they start blocking and mix them up with SEN stance.
Just shows how much I need to learn Lars is my main but he frustrates me because I feel like he’s so much slower with start up attacks like I have to struggle to open ppl up
hey, picked up tekken 8 recently and chose to main lars and your videos have been super helpful! i have a question, after f1+2 the sequence of df3d DEN2, about 20% of the time the combo drops on DEN2 but i can keep hitting them as if the combo didn't drop and i've had opponents tech roll out of it. do you have any insight onto why it sometimes drops there?
I used to play him passive in Tekken 7. That was his strength. Nowadays it’s better to play him more aggressive since his stances became very strong. You can still have your passive playstyle if you believe in your defense but try to add more aggression into your gameplan. A balance between aggressive and defensive is the best in my opinion.
Just pressing nothing puts you in a weird state called neutral, which puts you in a neutral block , it will block most moves but there are exception even if they are mids or highs I believe, so if you plan on defending, always best to hold back
@@mrwulfblood3862 in this game neutral blocking is so weird I would never rely on that. You will get hit 99% of the times so always hold back in my opinion.
@@KaizokuLars also while I got you here, your lars is dope, I’m trying to get my lars into red ranks right now and hopefully to kishin in the next few months

would of been more helpful if they gave us an actual combo training tool to practice any combo we wanted instead of giving us just the combo challenges at least I felt as a new player it would have been more helpful as a way to learn optimal combos.
So its me again, i played tekken 8 and got severely dissapointed in it. Its boring. I thought mk was bad but this... Every hit is a mixup, there is no way to react to lows so you are guessing every second of your match. I came here to watch how you play and its the same. All of the damage is done by lows. Its low spam low spam low spam. Yeah, there are half hp combos that are achieved by SHIDOO after sidestepping something but meh. I always dreamed of a game that is based on skill and reaction and now i have myself a game based solely on mixing with raw hits. Thats bs. I wanna cry. And yeah, characters like devil has low combo starter, i am out. Time to check street fighter, this game turned out to be built on low spam for the win lol. And i liked it at the beginning, a pity
I can understand how you feel like but don’t forget this game is out for consoles immediately for the first time. Tekken 7 came out for arcades first for 2 years and the final version for console was so different. So they will balance this game and that’s the only issue right now (for me personally) I know that balance patches are coming out soon. It is mixup heavy game yes but with enough experience you can still get used to it and win if you are the better player and have more experience even though it’s harder to win at top level than in Tekken 7. But when it comes to the lows I disagree. There are unseeable lows yes but there are a lot of reactable lows too. And this game has less input delay so it’s even easier to react. It’s all about practice. If you don’t like the game you can play something else haha no is forcing you to play Tekken but I really enjoy it.
@@KaizokuLars Its not about winning, its about how the game is played. I can win easily. Do 3 lows in a row, the dude starts blocking lown, do mid, rinse and repeat. And its not about unreactable lows, though they are a problem as well, its about mixing. In mk i can just sit in block and be invulnerable until i make a mistake, here i have to guess all the time, thats just non respectable play either i perform it or it is performed on me. I understand that there are some ways around it but still its a significant part of gameplay. Look at your game vs blueberry alicia (or whatever her name is), all of the damage is done by lows or you expecting a low and getting hit with mid plus yeah, some occasional combos. Barely any punishes for low spam. Thats not how it should be and i am surprised nobody talk about it. Just because you can do the same it is counted as okay thing by players cause its basically fair, but why do they love losing health for no reason just because they didn't guess right? Just because they can do the same? Lame Thx for your considerable answer, but i still cant get over how stoopid this is in such a complex game we cant avoid having so much braindead mixing lol. Do you happen to know anything about how street fighter is build compared to tekken and mk? Does it have a lot of mixing as well? If yes, then its a fighting genre problem
@@KaizokuLars oh and also, what about balance? Nobody gonna balance it cause there is nothing to balance, its a fair thing i just don't like it. I don't want to accept that half of my health and half of enemy health will be lost for no reason, hell, they can just make healthbars 2x bigger and it will be like a real game after that lol. Mk1 is shit but at least i have means of defending there unless its some rare unreactable overheads or stupid cameo TRUE mixups, which is why nobody likes mk and i switched to tekken

Timing. You need to hit the DEN2 at the right timing. When Lars almost finishes his spin press 2 twice fast. That's how I got the timing out.
Great lars ! You are playing with pad or arcade stick ? How do you do the headbutt 1+2 grab without going into stance ? 😅
running 2+4
I am playing with pad and the input for the grab is wr2+4 :)

Question Kaizoku when will you play Reina?
One day :)

Anyone know what string that is at 2:37? It looks like a good low check that goes into stance pls someone
