The first 8 episodes of Luke Cage, can go toe to toe with any of the best shows out there. Killing Cottonmouth was the worst mistake they couldve ever made.
Not gon lie I felt the same way initially but revisiting...it's really not as bad as I thought. Cottonmouth was special tho. Apparently mahershela could only sign on for 7 episodes bc he had another project
Question to my film family. When shooting a film and you have someone singing a song in the film like an artist. Should you play the song in real time while shooting or have no music and put the track over it in post? MY SHORT FILM IS NEXT MONTH SO I NEED HELP
(mild film scoring experience) Typically you'd have the song recorded in-studio ahead of time, and then play it back during filming so they can sing along (but use the studio-recorded version, especially if your filming mic setup isn't great). Also to note: make sure they sing along (even if they're not the original vocalist), and then just don't use that audio - if they just lip-sync, it's easy to tell when watching that they're not singing (throat's not moving correctly). Much easier to sing along with a recording during filming and then use that audio later than to try to match a song to the filmed version later. Hope that helps.
it's wierd: Maria advised Cornell to sell the club shades advised cornell to sell the club yet, once they both were rid of him, they decided to keep the club??
i was hesitant to watch luke cage. thought it will be boring. i plan to skip it in watching netflix marvel series. however i notice music at the club was good. especially the jazz genres.
Deebo Molina it was in the comics and technically the falcon came before luke cage so he's not the the first african superhero as you proclaimed him to be.
Not quite. By Marvel's comics chronology, Luke Cage debuted behind The Falcon, and going by the cinematic chronology, he debuted behind The Falcon (an army vet and V.A. councilor) and War Machine (A lieutenant colonel and liaison between Stark Industries and the U.S. military).
"Sometime backward to move forward... always."
Powerful quote
Powerful voice. SOO great. RIP. Too bad Luke Cage was canceled. Great hero.
You'll be sadly missed Sharon Jones, one hell of a singer.
So premature at 60, with a newly released album. F'n cancer😪
Broke my heart finding out she passed shortly after I finished the Luke Cage series. Hail to this Queen. Rest well in eternity.
this deserves an EMMY and a GRAMMY
It has them and more in our hearts

Moral of story - No good deed goes unpunished.
Did anyone notice how they setup for Iron Fist with Claire looking at the poster for Colleen Wing's dojo?

pov: her 100 days 100 nights. Me: this song hit no It don’t👇🏻
no one gonna mention a 60 year old woman( i'll admit she fine and don't look a day over 40-45) kissed a young late 20s early 30s dude?
That scene's supposed to be really creepy and cringey in a good way, so I think it fits.
Shades is in his 40s

Of course the first African American superhero has to go to prison!

Yup falcon came first the bird came before the black egg.
Black Panther was pretty much the first. He debuted in 1966
Tissan Young Black Panther is African. He is from Wakanda. Technically he is not a US citizen in the MCU.
@Black Mariah and Shades....eeeewwww 🤢🤮👵🏿+😎
"sometimes backwards to move forward always" so cringe bro!
RIP...
