No one would have known about the Alaska ISP hours later, that's what makes this even more puzzling. Alaska's ISP, Character AI, and a California utility company had a spike in outages at the exact same time hours later.

A 512MB-1GB VPS, that isn't even dedicated, is around $30/month if I recall. You can get a 1GB/2GB of RAM server for $4-$7/month from the smaller providers, that can actually come with dedicated/more high frequency cores

There is no explanation for why almost every single ISP went down at once.
