The tarmac drive is great,it adds a bit of contrast, over here in Northern Ireland the council would use it on foot paths,at times, the fencing is fantastic the curve gives it another dimension
WOW that’s a post and a half for that driveway! The great thing about D&J is you always tidy up during and after the job has finished. A lot of businesses can learn from your good practices. Great work as always gents😁

Loved this weeks fix of D&J, the tarmac drive reminded me of when my parents had it done in the 80's. Unfortunately they had it done by the travelling community and it looked good until they drove on it a few days later and reversed the car off...... The tarmac was stuck to the car tyres and ended up being a right mess 😮🫣 you can tell though that your work is there to stay. Its a shame they didn't have it all done though as it draws attention to the old stuff. The double sided panels look really good and the new gate and garage door job looked nice but it looks like you forgot to fill the gap where the concrete was broken. Hello chaps, I remember the spa-chipping driveways from the 70s/80s. I was prepared NOT to like it, but actually I DID like it! See, you never know, the proof of the pudding and all that. Love those (heavy) double-sided panels, they really look classy. Happy birthday to Chelsea, if I was more local I would have made her a cake. Best wishes Christine x

Great video as always. I’m torn on the driveway as like it and it’s a bit different to the usual, but it would probably annoy me if I felt there was one area that had slightly more or less coverage. Obviously not the case here as the A Team were on the job😊

I really like the chippings on the driveway. Good compromise for people who can’t stretch to a resin driveway. Just wish our house was in Nottingham so that you could help me with my drive! Keep up the brilliant work xx
I worked on laying tarmac for 30+ years and I hated chipping driveways. One of those stones works lose and you have the start of a pothole.
The fencing and gate are looking amazing. Stay safe everyone. The icy weather has arrived.

The finnish of the stones turns it from boring black to interesting and unusual very nice, love those double sidded panels great jobs again D&J. A very happy birthday wishes to Chelsea.
Since leaving the UK I really dont miss the weather, another good video guys, that garage door really should have a profile on the bottom as water will hit the door and flood straight into the garage.
Nice variety of work this week. Speckled driveway looked good, and as you said, you don't see that anymore on new installs. Those double sided fence panels do look good. With that garage door, it's a shame she didn't ask to have that hole in the top left of the frame patched up. It sort of looks unfinished but hey ho! Great vid thanks all

Years ago we used to do house numbers with stone. Also on long drives 18 inch off each edge, we used to space stones at a foot so when it was dark owners had a reference. The new fencing looks awesome great team work again.

Would it be possible for a little video in the future from Chelsea on a more detailed:when,were, what,how, who,&why,sort of speak video of the military enlist decision, would be awesome and very interesting,...please. Remember that kind of driveway growing up... Maybe too many white stones for me.. and some lines occured, but a blast down memory lane, and if I had a house then definitely would go for that.

All around good video. Not sure about white chips in tarmac, not a bad look if ya like that. Think it would bug me too much, would have to paint them black. But that’s just me. Afternoon D&J team… I liked the speckled tarmac drive I wouldn’t like to resin over it but it’s up to the customer at end of the day.
That was a neat job on the fence, gate and door but you didn’t fill the hole at topside of the door it needs a bit of wood on the front covering the hole then fill with concrete from the back possibly putting some wood on the back to stop it the concrete from falling out then remove all the bits of wood after a couple of days once the concrete has set.
From when they started the fencing job I didn’t realise you were putting pin kerbs up the path I you were just digging out putting membrane down and plum slate in up to the cut edge of the lawn but it’s far better now with the pin edge there. I should have known better than to doubt the D&J team. LOL
It was a good show this week I really liked it great stuff as per normal.😊😊😊😊

Nuff respect to 'D&J Projects'..I've been watching your videos for sometime now & I'm sorry we lost Taff..however, I am concern to the fact that you guys are getting older and note the extra efforts hoisting those fencing panels..I was about to design a manual lifter to share with you, but stumbled on an handmade one on UA-cam, I'm not on any Facebook.. Twitter or any other that you use, long story short, I am really suggesting you get a manual lifter, especially since you're now installing those heavy 2-sided panels..I never ever did get an answer to my previous comments..I hope you see this one as I fear one of you will or might mess up your backs one of these days..I do you never do tho.

I do like the white pebbles incorporated on the black tarmac. (Looks like "snow recently fell).
That was a bit aggressive lol, “Guys” is just a phrase I use, “hey guys” doesn’t necessarily mean MEN. If you are narrow minded then yeah, maybe it could, but in 2023 I’d say “hey guys” is just a phrase to greet everyone 😊

Happy birthday Chelsea. If your feeling old it was my birthday on the 24th (I'm guessing your sagittarius too as you like to travel (army)) I was 64. Dave why not get a woodchipper and create bark to sell? You get enough wood to make it profitable. Why not buy a small yard nearby and set up a place to dump and have staff just doing that, with a place to dump from others too. For wood, concrete and soil to recycle. Sister company then yours doesn't get to big. Maybe have Chelseas husband (can't remember his name) to run it? Just an idea. This will free up space at your place. It hinges on if you can find a nearby place to buy.

The tarmaced drive with the chippings in looks fantastic. My sister-in-law had the same along with the dark blocks about 15/20 years ago now, and it's still looks as good today. The gate, fence & garage door looked great too. (Dave, did you manage to fill the hole in at the top of the frame in the garage for the lady?) The fence panels that Jamie made look even better. Now they're all installed. 😉👍🏻

That tarmac looks like the old stuff we had in the 50s. Ours was a combination of burnt "coke" and the gravel from worn roof shingles.

On that gate install project, here in the US we use a ton of EIFS in commercial applications, and in some houses as well. If you visit Las Vegas, you will see that installed on the outside of most of the casinos on the Strip, with foam pop outs to look like ledges and trim.
