Thank you for watching! haha I totally recommend cleaning the leaves. It really is so nice to do it and when you are done it feels so great because you can see your plants shine and thrive :-)
I'm in Southern California so our winters are pretty mild. I've been a plant parent for two winters and have kept several plants happy by monitoring for pests, decreasing watering, and increasing humidity. I haven't gotten a grow light because that would mean I could put plants ANYWHERE in my house and my collection would explode! 🤣
I have to water more in winter,I use electric baseboard heaters and it tends to dry out the soil faster.BTW...Hello from the island of Newfoundland Canada.
Hi! This is so important thank you so much for sharing Esmeralda! I also totally understand the light problem, can't wait for spring so we get more sunlight for us and our plants ☀️
I love your attitude and how you turn cleaning your plants into a self-care routine that helps you slow down and enjoy the lovely energy that your plants bring! The lighting tip is awesome too - we only have one big east-facing window, and I know that my plants aren't getting as much sun in the winter... so I need to check out your recommendation!
Thank you so much! Yes, cleaning my plants has become a moment for me as well, I am so grateful to them for that ☺️! The Mother PlantSpectrum grow light is really great, I totally recommend checking it out :-)
Thank you J Marie!! Yes, I can say the lux meter has helped so much with understanding my plants and the light they need way better. Totally recommend it !
I love the one I talk about in the video: Mother PlantSpectrum32 or the PlantSpectrum16 (depending on how many plants you have and the area you want to bring light to). The also have offered 10EUR off any 150EUR purchase :-) You can check it out by using the link in the description and the code PlantsandLucia. If you want to learn more about grow lights, I have a series with the most common questions I get about them. For the winter I move my plants away from drafty windows and the radiators as well as use grow lights because in New York it gets dark by 4 pm.
