R.I.P., Dusty ..... I used to love these commercials. There was one I can't find that I remember that Dusty talked about being in "downtown Tokyo" and millions of Japanese people came up to him and asked him where he got that van and he said "Forsyth, GA - Tom Stimus - Number 1 in the world"..... I'd like to see that one again.
Cody his son said on raw he owed tom money he was broke and needed to make money and keep his car so tom made a deal with him and this is how we got these classic Bradenton commercials
@@travismcdonald6576 yea those guys was not making that much during territory between taking care of home traveling expense. They were keeping there head on water . Ric felt he had to live according to his image smh
Big Dust was broke in 1989, he made money hand over fist through out the 80's wrestling against the Four Horsemen, The Kolov's, Tully Blanchard, Ole Anderson.
@@BOBTVNYC um no, the big stars were making enormous bank during the heyday of the territories. Flair and Rhodes were top earners a woulda been doin just fine.
Um no they were making money but no where near today. One they were often getting screwed by promoters and they spent most of the money feeding there own travel expenses and staying in kayfabe which I seen Ric and Dusty do in FLA plenty of time my uncle drove trucks for Florida championship and Nwa south. There was a time where dusty and Ric were broke and both of them have talked about often that's why dusty got into booking with Crockett promoting and booking at that time was where the money was .
@@BOBTVNYC who said they never struggled and who said they were making what the top stars make today? Nothing you said negates or differs from my previous point
I did a commercial with Tom Stimus when a was little , where can i find more of Tom stimus commercial ? My dad help open a rv and vans dealership , i would love to see more commercial .
I worked for him almost 3 years and he treated me fine. I heard the rumors that he was crooked but I never saw it. He sold me a new van in 88 for cost and when I sold it 5 years later I made $3000. I shot the commercial you just watched. I did a cable TV show for him! Crooked, not that I ever saw!
Dusty makes me wanna buy a car that existed 34 years ago

He passed away in 2017
He was a crook
I remember it enough to tell you this was before 1989.
Ah, the truck has 89 painted on the window in the commercial
