It’s awesome to see Justin from Patriot Campers in there turning wrenches and getting dirty! That’s the kinda drive and effort that makes a true leader and not just a boss! Amazing work, amazing products! Keep it up guys!
This is beyond crazy! This just proves the Gladiator is going to be a game changer in the overland community! Love the 2 door extended cab. This thing is UNBELIEVABLE ! ❤️🐞
Wow, absolutely amazing! The Gladiator platform is going to be on a whole new level & this video showcases that reality. Look at the team w/ varied expertise that put this masterpiece together. 👍
Awesome to see Patriot Campers being involved on this build! Can't wait to see what they come up with back on the home grounds of Australia when we get the Gladiator! :D
That's crazy awesome, this is just one Gladiator being transformed, with a Hellcat motor to boot. Can't wait to see phase 3 on 40's. Just goes to show the possibilities of this vehicle, it's going to kill the market. Thanks Eddie and Cindy for the great video work.
WOW!! What a build! Around 3:35 you show the Jeep coming out of the garage with the bed on the new 2 dr. stretch that looks awesome. That's what I like. Put in a Dynatrac 60 front and a Dynatrac 80 rear, some 40" and great suspension with King coil over shocks, you've got the best of the best. Love it. That Pcor looks very heavy?? I would also wrap the Pcor in the same color. Another great video!! Thanks
I can appreciate all the incredible workmanship and of course the engine swap. Shortening the back and turning into a crew cab, awesome! That box on the back is just plain fuggly! I was like, what the heck are they doing! Extending the bed a foot with all the changes made would have been outstanding. I was watching this build unfold thinking this is going to be awesome!. Cheaper, but not easier, to just use a JL and accomplish the same concept. Yank that "Dog Catcher" off the back, throw the bed back on and this is how Jeep should have done it, even with the engine as an option. Trackhawk Gladiator style!
That thing is sick so far. Awesome build. Can’t wait to see watch the rest. I have a gladiator as well but nothing like this. Mine is still all stock for the time being. Like your Chanel. Keep posting I’ll keep watching 👋🏻
Great job Eddie! I have been following this build and you covered everything I had hoped to see. It was great getting to see it up close at Overland Expo West!
I would like to see someone design a reinforced shell for the Gladiator bed. Would be a great place to put the rooftop tent and still retain the usefulness of the bed. It's a truck for a reason. Besides, I wouldn't want to give up the extra passenger space.
The giving up of the extra passenger space is maybe the one thing I just couldn't get my head around. At least, for an overland build, it makes no sense or to me anyway.
Awesome video Eddie and Cindy!!! Was such a pleasure having you guys around made me even more excited to work on this project for Tony and Dynatrac!! Hopefully next time I see you will be for phase 3... P.S. thanks for the cameo at the end lmao!! -Alfy
Hey Alfy, it was a pleasure to meet you and work with you on this project. Be great to see you again soon and really, how could we not get you in at the end especially being that you're the one who made the connection between the Coors can and the wrap color LOL.
I love it! I see where he is coming from on the two door feel he wanted, but i'm going to be partial to four door versions. I loved the Aussie Four Wheelers look but for me a longer wheel base is sooo much more comfortable. Mel's from the other video is still my favorite gladiator so far. Stradman (the UA-camr from Utah) seems to have some interesting ideas too.
I'm with you on a longer wheel base being so much more comfortable and I would add, having 4-doors do a lot better of a job of carrying the kind of gear you'd want to have with you out in the wilderness. But, the whole point of a build like this is to create discussion and at that, I think they succeeded.
BAD-ASS!!!! Just got up to Williams AZ yesterday and checking out Overland Expo this morning in Flagstaff. I’m looking forward to see if they already completed phase 3 while drinking a Coors! Lol BTW, I can’t believe some people gave this video a thumbs down! I just don’t get that. I thought the video was awesome as usual!
Awesome video.. Was so surprised to see how much Australian gear was going on that truck.. Love the patriot campers guys, Justin and the team are awesome and they build the most insane stuff over here in Aus, cant wait to meet them myself. Even Rhino rack.. Ive been talking to one of the Rhino Rack engineers the last few days here in Sydney, Australia about some new cool gear for the Wrangler JLU's... I'll be one of the first to get a Rubicon here in Australia (Yes we are still waiting but apparently they started making mine a couple of days ago =/ ) though I think i'll be one of, if not the first to get the new JL Rhino Roof rack system fitted to my car and some other goodies which i know the American market is going to love =)
Honestly was a bit worried when they said they shortened it so much. Though after seeing the final setup, I do like the overall proportions. Can't wait to see phase three, as right now with the big steal box on the back, it appears to be squatting a bit. I figure once the final suspension and axles go on with the larger tires that will be evened out too.
I was thinking the back was riding low with all that weight. Nice to hear they are still waiting for axles and suspension. I’m sure that will level it out! Whew the money involved though....yikes!
Very cool, but the real interesting thing here is the wheelbase shortening. Hey JEEP! See? People WANT a two door Gladiator!!!!! PLEASSSEEE Build us a two door JT.
@@wayalife yup hopefully the first week of June it comes in can't wait to see how it comes out and looking forward to the future modification you will be doing to your gladiator.
It's crazy how often I see that huge dude from Patriot campers in people's videos. Seems like a funny guy. I thought they were out of Australia though. Did they just come out for that Jeep?
Xoverland just announced their JT build and they've been partnered with Patriot Campers for a while too. They'll probably be doing a near identical full sized version soon, minus the Hellcat of course. Definitely loving the industry interest in overlanding lately.
I appreciate the hard work that everyone put into this build it is amazing. However, every Jeep fan has been complainning, when is Chrysler bringing a Jeep truck back, for several decades. Finally Jeep brings the Gladiator to market, and this gentleman goes drops 50 g's on a new Gladiator and hacks the living shit out of it. This build makes no sense. Not my cup of tea, to each their own, it's his money. As long as he is happy is all that matters. Again kudos on the build.
To be honest, it's not my cup of tea either. Nothing about this build makes sense to me but the build is being done with a myriad of partners and they've all donated parts to make it happen. I think it was done more to create discussion like this than anything. Certainly, I can't see too many people dropping $50k or more on a Gladiator and hacking the living shit out of it just to make it smaller and shorter.
Wayalife Exactly, nowadays it's all about space. I have a Cane Corso, I can't have him riding up front with me, it's like having a sumo wrestler next to you. I do like the amount of team work involved in this build, I love the Hemi beast in the dang thing, which is something that I'm already planning. Like you said it's a conversation and advertising platform which is the benefit of this build. Love your channel, keep up the great work, I'm always waiting for your vids.
Thanks for the video Waya!! I was psyched to find this vid after drooling on this thing on the floor of my local dealership today! One thing tho- did they really have to name it Codex like the tampons!!?? LOLLLLZZZ!!!
When the JT came out I was wondering how long it would be until an Aussie style back canopy was added to it. Honestly a CC unstrunk with it would be around what a 79 series would be. Looks great.
AMW4x4 is just down the street from my work, I stopped in to schedule some work on my JL and parked next to this truck in it's original OEM form (Didn't know it was Dynatrac's). And I wondered how much it would look like a Gladiator and how many original parts it would have. And the answer is nothing and none! I like it, but I'm not sure if it is a Gladiator any more.
Really amazing build!! There's only one problem. With the cost of the Gladiator (overpriced to begin with), the cost of the Hellcat Hemi swap (probably the same as the cost of the truck), the PCOR accessories and modifications (which are awesome!), and the suspension and 40s, it's a $250,000+ Jeep that no one can afford. Don't get me wrong, I love the thing, but if you have to win the lottery to own something like this, there's something wrong, you know?
There's more problems to this than just that. Chopping it up the frame left it with really weak spots and the motor constantly overheats and has electronic issues. It's why you never see it wheeling out on the trail - it can't.
@@meadmaker4525 Unfortunately, Dynatrac just wanted something people would talk about. I was sorely disappointed in the quality of this build. Looks nice but totally not functional.
so what happens with the dash? is it just constantly flashing lights at you? also what happens to things like the traction control button, hill decent, locking axles etc? are they just useless? thats alot of empty buttons. these builds are crazy cool but i feel like the “interior driver experience (electrics part)” always takes a hit and personally that would drive me insane
Very cool! What’s the final wheelbase though. It looks a little short for 40s. I feel like the rear axle wants to be back another 6-8”. Especially if it’s going to be doing any steep hill climbs. Just a views opinion though. The truck came out great. 👍
Yeah but I guess with a patriot camper on it they are just trying to show what people who by a gladiator can do by removing the bed and adding one of their units. If they had kept the bed you would have changed your mind about starting with a JL
Sure would be nice but as it is, the Wrangler has a bigger carbon footprint than a Challenger with a Hellcat. The Gladiator would be better off being that it's a bigger vehicle.
Right...lets take the new model that they just added 30" to and cut 20" out of it??Also I have to say 14:39 that thing looks like its squatting in a flat parking lot... so get it on a steep incline???
@ Michael Barnes & wayalife Why?....because the Gladiator frame/rear suspension is different than the 2 or 4-door Wrangler frame/rear suspension and then there's the back of the cab are my guesses.
@@mike1158d it's a lot easier to take out material and put it back together than it is so add material out of thin air. Plus the actual frame that the wrangler doesn't have, it already has a bed, some people don't like their trucks to be 100 feet long, especially a jeep since they're really supposed to be off roaders and long wheelbase is worse off road.
Michael, I aggree you could have done this on a JL, but it's just another JL! These people are pioneers and they're embarking on an adventure. Instead of a JL that anyone could build if they have the resources, they put their creativity into building a vehicle to suit their needs and wants.

Michael, I aggree you could have done this on a JL, but it's just another JL! These people are pioneers and they're embarking on an adventure. Instead of a JL that anyone could build if they have the resources, they put their creativity into building a vehicle to suit their needs and wants.
